Have eaten here numerous times over the past few years, with a small but inventive menu. This time was a bit disappointing. The sauce on the sweet potato/crab benedict was so spicy as to overwhelm the other flavors. Smoked grits were just OK. Service was very off... one of us got coffee and at least 10 minutes later the other 2 of us had to re-request their orders, and then the waitress wasn't certain she was delivering the requested decaf. There were other service-related hiccups, and I'm less inclined to hurry back.

Quick dinner mid week right after work. Lots of choices, I had tenderloin and my wife had fish stew. Both were terrific and reasonably priced. Right in middle of West Seattle and easy access. Can not wait for outdoor porch to open.

We had a great brunch. The pear pancakes are incredible! I went with my stalwart standard of Chicken Fried Steak. My gf had the Eggs Benedict, also delicious. Great coffee, great service. Love this place!

Very disappointed. After we ordered a $40 bottle of Gruner (white wine), the bartender came back to tell us they hadn't updated the wine menu and that bottle was no longer available. He offered us one of three other bottles of wine instead, which he brought with him, and indicated he did not know how much they were. We selected an Italian bottle thinking it would be somewhere in between the $40 price we had originally wanted to pay, but no more than the most expensive bottle of white wine on the menu, which was $55. At the least, we figured someone would let us know how much it was before we ordered it. After our bill came, this bottle of white wine was $75. This is on top of the fact that our salads and entrees were served simultaneously, we barely had room on the table for all the plates and we had to box everything up to make our play--which yes, we said we were going to--on time. It's very clear something strange--mismanagement, poor staff training--is happening here, and we will not be back.

We've been going to Fresh Bistro off and on since it opened. The service has always been mixed, sometimes really bad and other times ok. I wouldn't say the service was ever top notch, however the quality of the food kept us coming back every six months to check it out again. Sadly, that's now a thing of the past. This last visit had nothing going for it, not the service, except for the bartender, and certainly not the food. My guess is there's been a change in management and the people who once took pride in the plates they produced have long gone. The meal was that bad. Sorry.

One of the worst dinners I’ve ever had out with friends. They didn’t have half the menu available, food was tasteless. That’s probably the one thing that really stood out, how tasteless the food was. It felt like a restaurant where everyone had given up and it was also pricey considering the mediocre food. If I could travel back in time and save my friends and I from having such a bad experience I would because it basically ruin our night

Great food, took 45 minutes though. Our server also switched shifts without telling us and our new server that we had to go up and find gave us the bill for the wrong table.

I had the crab eggs Benedict, which was served in an unusual way, on a sweet potato cake. 3 or our 5 diners had eggs and all were undercooked. 2 chose to send them back, which the server did without a problem. The service was excellent--helpful and warm. The best dish in our group was the Vietnamese pancake: flavorful and unique. A fun, casual spot in a lively part of Seattle.
