This is the place. The lamb shank is tender and well flavored. I always get the sea bass sitting on a fried round of risotto. I went a few days ago and was so pleasantly surprised. I wanted to order almost everything on the menu, but settled for sharing ceviche, an egg dish, and the sweet potato pancakes. The egg dish was probably my least favorite (a little too cheesy, on the cold side, and hard to differentiate the tastes). The ceviche and the pancakes were delicious!!! When we asked her if our steak entree was supposed to be room temperature, she took it back and presented us with a brand new, hot dish. It made such a difference! The appetizer we had were 3 scallops on plantains which were just delicious. Very tasty food. The menu changed since the last time I was here, and the trout dish I usually get was not on the menu. Not to worry. For an appetizer we shared hamachi ceviche - excellent! For an entree we shared the Pescado a lo Macho (crispy fried whole dorade) which was presented beautifully and tasted as good as it looked. We ordered something else but it was a week or two ago and now I can't remember. Sorry. All I can remember is that we loved all of the food and had a great time. My only criticism is how noisy it gets. I had to lean in close and cup my hands behind my ears to capture what my dining partner was saying. They provide good customer service and can accommodate reasonable requests. If you want good quality food and good service come to Fresca. This is quite a small place that fills up quickly. We were more excited by the ceviches and appetizers than the mains, so we got 2 ceviches and 3 appetizers for the two of us. That turned out to be more than enough--probably should have only gone with 2 apps. The ceviches were amazing, and each so unique. I always go back to the sea bass. It is absolutely fabulous, sitting on top of a crispy patty of polenta cake (best polenta I've ever had). Other members had the paella, seafood stew, and mussels.
