French Meadow CafePleased My Vegan CousinWe were pleased with the menu choices, fitting both vegan and non. My cousin loved the curry, and said he could eat it every couple of weeks regularly. My husband and I enjoyed our chicken and garlic mashed potatoes, deeming them better than Buca's. And the asparagus was perfect! The outdoor seating was pleasant, as long as one doesn't mind steady foot traffic while one eats. Though it was busy, we didn't notice other diners, and in general, enjoyed out evening. Unfortunately our waitress was kind of inattentive! She took forever to get us everything we ordered. The music was quite loud and incongruent with the atmosphere. It was very difficult to have conversation at our table. The service was fair. We got our drinks right away but it took our server about 20 minutes to take our order. Had my first dinner there the other night and the food and service were excellent. Would recommend this to anyone looking for good, reasonably-priced meals. It's a small place and the tables were tight but vibrant enough that I didn't feel as though our conversation was flowing into anyone elses space. The halibut was a bit overcooked and I told the server.
