Was "directed" by militant hostess to "wait out on the bench". Is this a bus stop or a restaurant? Get rid of the obnoxious hostess! If I wasn't on a date (and she really wanted to have lunch at Barney's" I would have told the hostess to get lost, and gone somewhere else for lunch. Unfortunately she must be a fixture there as my friend said "she's always like that."

My daughter and I went there for dinner with a 6:30 reservation. We had a WONDERFUL time. We were seated on time, the service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. I had the ravioli and she had chicken soup. We split the cold seafood appetizer. We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience and will go back for sure next time we are in New York.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a dependable eateryThis is a dependable eatery with a very accomodating staff and the food is very good. Beware that they do not have a childrens menu per se - they say they can do childrens items but when we ordered "chicken fingers and fries" the portion was huge and it was $18. So if you bring kids that won't eat anything else, be prepared to split that! Since many times you would be there with children, it would be helpful if they did have a couple of items just for kids.
