Our reservation was for 5:45, plenty of time to chat & enjoy our meal. Thoroughly enjoyed the mussel appetizers but did have to ask for a spoon to scoop up the wonderfully seasoned broth with the mussels. Salads arrived five minutes later & two minutes after that our entrees (hadn't even started eating our salads) so our table was full of plates. Timing of delivery needs to be worked on. This was our 2nd visit - the first time we sat & ate at that very high bar - don't understand the logic for the height - appetizers were unappetizing. I have recommended Fredericks to several friends already. The service was excellent, the servers were friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and wine listings,and the food was well prepared, very tasty and generously portioned. LOVED the band, Forecast. The acoustics are very good and we had no problem conversating while the band was playing. Also, was very glad to be able to watch the game at the same time. Seating was great. I would, however, reduce some of the lighting in the dining area. It seemed too bright to me for the ambiance.
Our party of 4 ordered appetizers. The Fredericks spicy shrimp was excellent! The shrimp was a good size and the breading was light and the sauce flavorful; however, the buffalo wings were a HUGE disappointment. The wings were so small they looked like they came from pidgeons. Our host was very informative about the menu and the wine list. The food was served in a timely fashion and the atmosphere was delightful. This is definitely one of my new favorite restaurants.
