A word from Fraticelli's Italian Grill - Richmond Hill
Fraticelli's Italian Grill and Lounge is driven by one simple principle… create a great Italian impression. Or as the Italians often say… "fare una bella figura."
Like our 13 provinces and territories, Italy has 20 wonderful regions, each one more adamant than the other that they have the best food in the country. Our menu at Fraticelli's is to serve you the best of the best from these wonderful regions. Our steaks are cooked over a high heat wood-fire grill made famous in Tuscany. Our pastas are fresh and our sauces are homemade ranging from the classic northern dish Pappardelle Bolognese to the southern Sicilian style seafood pasta, Spaghetti Pescatore. The pizzas are served Napoletana; style, thin crust and stone baked at 750 degrees. All made with the freshest ingredients available, authenticated with imported Italian plum tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, and the best grated cheeses.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "We went with some family and had a great meal. Our server Sydney was amazing. The food was very tasty and portions large enough to share. Will return!"

  • "When we first got there, hostesses were nice and kindly showed us to our seat. Our waiter on the other hand was kind but wasn't too good at the job. While other tables received bread and continues service, my significant other and I barely saw our waiter and ended up never getting bread. Main courses arrive and we were not greeted by our own waiter until we were nearly done our meals. At the end when we were just chatting, the waiter without being told to, hands us the dessert menu, takes our plates and says, "Here's the dessert menu, I'll be back in a few. If there is nothing else you would want by then I will grab you your bill." Overall mediocre food and mediocre service. Will not visit again."

  • "Fraticelli's is exactly what you would hope for an upscale Italian restaurant. Went to Fraticelli's for my anniversary, which was noted on the reservation. The hostess both wish us a happy anniversary when we entered and had us seated right away. Our server, Meghan, was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The good was delicious. Definitely try the cheesecake of tartufo if you have room for dessert. We had a great experience for our anniversary. Will go again."

  • "Our server was very attentative and enthusiastic. Restaurant not too busy on a weeknight. Food came very fast. We loved the cheese fondue appetizer. The seafood pasta was al dente and yummy. Sirloin steak cooked med rare as requested. Overall, our teenage daughters enjoyed the food and we always come back to Fraticelli."

  • "Fraticelli's, boasts a simple but perfected lunch menu. This is the second time I have hosted a lunch here. I recommend it for a party of 2 or a group. There is something for everyone on the menu and its done well!"

  • "I usually go to Fraticelli's for lunch on Fridays and always have great service and food. Never a complaint. But on valentines night first time for dinner I was disappointed. Both our meals were cold. We had the sirloin steaks. Service nothing great we git a glass of wine and never asked if we wanted a refill after that. Dessert was delicious...Highly recommend the Vanilla raspberry gelato with white chocolate. Over all I will go back as I know its usually good. Can't blame it being busy as there were lots of empty tables. Ambience is very nice and beautiful decor. Was also surprised they did not offer a valentine theme type menu."

  • "The few times my family dined at Fraticelli's the food and service was consistently good. We do not hesitate to take out of town guests."

  • "Reasonably priced, tasty, ambient. Roasted Red Beet Salad: I can make a better one but ingredients were fresh. A shortage of goat cheese, and adding $2 pancetta bacon gets you three circles of bacon - NOT worth it. Roasted Mushroom Risotto: Very tasty, but feels like it's missing something. Be sure to add some extra grated parm when asked, otherwise it's slightly bland. Penne Arrabbiata: Good for non-spicy eaters who want just a tiny kick of spice. Brussels Sprouts: Added for $5. They're straight boiled with onions added. Not buttery and salty. Not a bad get if you like them because they come with quite a few, enough for 2 people to share, but not very much taste other than the vegetable itself. Soho Mojito: Yum. Get it."

  • "Atmosphere is perfect for couples, but just lucky we got a booth, otherwise it might be different. Food was great and their pizzas are truly authentic Italy, it is almost the exact same thing I had in Milan. Server Michael was very friendly and willing to help on the menus. The only negative was the mussels on my seafood pasta still had thelat fishy smell. I believe it was a result that they were boiled in hot water for a bit to prevent overcooked but if one hates the ocean smell, then they would refuse it."

  • "We chose fraticellis mostly for location, close to work. The food is good, I don't think I've had anything bad, but nothing is outstanding. I had a pizza which was tasty, thin crust, good amount of toppings. I would recommend, although be wary of the parking, the lot is often full."

  • "I use to dine at Fraticelli's all the time. After the last time being there I would never go back. I'm not sure if the owners have changed but the service was horrible. The food was horrible. Fraticelli's was know for it's delicious pastas this time it was just dry. And my favourite drink the red wine sangaria was just watered down."

  • "We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. We had theatre tickets, so the wait staff met our timeline without making us feel rushed. We had a training waiter who was very personable and professional. The trainer was also wonderful and made minor corrections where needed without embarrassment to the trainee. The atmosphere was lovely and the food was fabulous. We all would definitely go back again."

  • "Food was good, not spectacular. Restaurant was busy, bar section is hopping. Service was mediocre, I did not see our server for a good while after ordering our food. At a good price point for what you get."

  • "We have been to Fratacelli's numerous times and have enjoyed ourselves each time. The food is always served not, and the wait staff is always helpful and friendly. We especially like the hot bread and warm spiced olive oil served while we are waiting for our food to arrive."

  • "We went for dinner on Mew years day, the restaurant was completely empty. We enjoyed completely attentive service and the food was amazing. Would def go back. Would be keen to see how it is when it's busier. Even empty the place had a lovely warm feel to it!"

  • "First visit to Fraticelli's, but definitely not our last! Fabulous meals, appy's, desserts, plus specialty drinks. We were there on New Years Eve and even though they were very busy, neither the food nor the service let us down."

  • "My brother from the UK along with my husband and I enjoyed an early dinner. The food was well presented, timely and the atmosphere was nice. I would have suggested turning the background music down as it was quite loud. I felt somewhat rushed at the beginning of the meal, then once the restaurant filled up we had to flag the server down to get the bill. Not a bad evening, i would recommend it to friends for a nice dinner or brunch."

  • "Fratecellis has good food which is reasonably priced, kid friendly, and great service. I'd go here again. The parpadelle is awesome."

  • "Our experience was wonderful. I only wish that we were able to make reservations for 630 vs 545 as the time we were limited to was quite early. When we asked about changing times, we were told that the 630 time was kept for walk ins. I was disappointed that we, wanting to plan ahead, were penalized for doing so. I did notice that it was not very busy at 630 and we could have gone then no problem. Had I known, I would not have committed to the earlier time. Otherwise, the food was very good and the service excellent."

  • "We've tried to eat here before for lunch, only to find out that they weren't open until dinner time. But I am very glad that we gave Fraticelli's a second try. The menu has a good variety of selections and the prices are quite reasonable. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. Loved the seafood pasta, great little bite to the sauce, although could have used a little bit more seafood. We will come back here again."

  • "This was my 2nd visit and my friends 1st visit! We loved the variety of food and the quality. Exceptional service by Ken our waiter The manager also came to our table to greet us and make sure everything was going well. He made sure our food was to our liking. I have not seen this kind of service or friendliness in a restaurant in some years, only in Vegas which I go every year. We would definitely go here again and make this restaurant one of our places to meet up regularly."

  • "My girlfriends and i go for dinner once a month or so, and fraticelli is a place that we frequent - the food is great, the service is great, it has a hustling atmosphere, yet you can still have a conversation within your table, without being disturbed or distracted by other diners. We noticed this time around a new menu, while still keeping all of our old faves on there, the dessert menu was revamped and a lot more palatable to our taste! I'm sure we'll be back soon!"

  • "Waited a very long time to be served drinks. Well over 25 minutes just to get water. Then got our main course served to us when we were in the middle of eating our appetizers. Food was great though so not really sure if we want to go back or not."

  • "The 'go-to' lunch spot for something more civilized, in the area. Service, as always, was prompt, attentive and accommodating. The minor issues were handled immediately. Average food and wine - solid fare but a shade pricey for what you get. Standouts were Goat cheese appetizer and the Beet Salad. Reconsider ordering the Lobster Pizza - sorely lacking enough actual shellfish to use the term lobster (saltiness of the pancetta over powers the dish and the crisped basil garnish is skimpy - appears that a single basil leaf was used for the entire pizza). All in all - a decent spot to have lunch."

  • "We have enjoyed dining at Fratacellis several times and fine it consistently high calibre in both food and service. The decor is classy and very comforttable as tables all seem relatively private, which allows for enjoyable conversation. The price is relatively high but not outrageous."

  • "We took friends to Fraticelli's for the Italian experience (they are German), who don't dine out often. They enjoyed the food and wine very much. It was somewhat noisy. Large groups around us were having loud conversations. In my on-line reservation request, I had requested a quiet corner because we wanted to 'catch up' with our friends that we hadn't seen for quite a while. After we paid the bill....we no longer got any attention, as we continued to enjoy each others company....we ran out of water and no offer of more coffee was forthcoming. We will return in any case and hope our experience of the ambience improves."

  • "This was my second time returning to Fraticelli's and once again everything was amazing. The woman serving us was very pleasant, warm and friendly. The food is spectacular ! We started with 2 appetizers, the Fonduta Fraticelli and Crab Arancini which were amazing! The cheese mix was delicious. I highly recommend the arugala and parmesan pizza, it's unique and amazing! Overall the night was perfect, however I was looking forward to the nightly entertainment which we were advised you don't have any longer. I was disappointed with that and hope you really look at bringing that back. Love your restaurant, I would highly recommend it to everyone! P."

  • "We visited Fratecelli's for the first time since Turtle Jacks took over. We found the menu limited with several of our favourites gone. We experienced very slow service as they had a table of 35, 25 and 14. Our last couple of visits had larger groups and this seems to be the new norm. This made for a very noisy dining atmosphere. When our food finally arrived, we were disappointed. The risotto was under done and came stuck together in large clumps. The meat in the other dishes were way over done. It seems the standards Chef Massimo set out for this restaurant has left with him. We will not be returning again."

  • "Fraticellis has great decor and the service is excellent. The only reason I rated my food as very good rather rather than excellent was that I wish I had ordered what one of my lunch companions had instead. My pizza was very good but I could tell I would have preferred his choice. The quality of the food here is high and very nicely presented."
