Fraticelli's Italian Grill and Bar is driven by one simple principle… create a great Italian impression. Or as the Italians often say… "fare una bella figura."
Like our 13 provinces and territories, Italy has 20 wonderful regions, each one more adamant than the other that they have the best food in the country. Our menu at Fraticelli's is to serve you the best of the best from these wonderful regions. Our steaks are cooked over a high heat wood-fire grill made famous in Tuscany. Our pastas are fresh and our sauces are homemade ranging from the classic northern dish Pappardelle Bolognese to the southern Sicilian style seafood pasta, Spaghetti Pescatore. The pizzas are served Napoletana; style, thin crust and stone baked at 750 degrees. All made with the freshest ingredients available, authenticated with imported Italian plum tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, and the best grated cheeses.Continued

For a price point the dinner should have been much better in flavour and taste. In saying that I believe more improvement required in the kitchen."

I love the inviting glass wine cellar and large bar. Too far from home to qualify as my neighborhood bar, but I'll definitely bring out of town friends. The veal piccata Nice touch with the orzo."

  • "Overall, it was a great restaurant. my husband and I ordered the top sirloin and NY strip. The only complaint we had was our waiter. We got to the table and it looked dirty so we asked it he could wipe it. He didn't apologized but just turned around to grab a cloth. when he was wiping, he just pushed our stuff on the table around with the cloth. He never asked if we needed a refill of our water, we had to ask a couple times. When I got up from the table to leave I noticed our waiter looking at the table to make sure we left him a tip. This was after we had paid the bill. All the other staff were amazing and very friendly. Could have just been that our server was not happy that day. Overall very nice place and GREAT food."

We were able to conduct our business meeting with ease and the service and food was great. Recommend this restaurant for any occasion will definitely be going back!"

  • "We had a reso, we were seated by a super nice host, our server introduced herself, but no recommendations, just an order taker like everywhere else! We weren't wow'd at all, we sat right beside Expo and it was super loud! All we could here nonstop was the pivot calling the board and the manager yelling for hands! We weren't impressed, our glasses were empty up till 10-15 minutes, the entree came out way to fast and out appetizer wasn't even finished! No question for dessert or cafe what we expected from a Italian restaurant and we just got the bill handed and had to wait another 10 minutes until we were able to pay! No follow up, no check on our food, no manager stopped by, but the hosts were nice again on our way out!"

We requested a booth instead and was met with some snakiness from the hostess. It really wasn't busy and her only job was to seat us... it was a poor start to our meal. The service was good, not great. The food was good, not great. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and it was pretty underwhelming. Although there was nothing to complain about, it just wasn't knock-your-socks-off GREAT. I don't know why the experience we first had a the Richmond Hill location hasn't transferred to the new location. It's lacking somehow. We won't recommend to others because it's not notable in any way."

  • "Have eaten here before, so knew what to expect. We had dinner there on Jan. 23, 2014. The service was excellent. We ordered grilled calamari which had some veggies and a very nice lemon tasting sauce, caesar salad with grilled proscutto wrapped shrimp and the other person had the beet salad with salmon. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend this restaurant. They have a very nice area at the back of the restaurant which can be reserved for a larger group."

The serving sizes are quite substantial (always too much for me, but not for my husband!) If you can manage to fit in a dessert, the flourless hazelnut chocolate cake is divine..."

I found it to be loud due to a large office group in behind us and although the room could have been closed off with drapes, they were left open for ease of serving I suspect. Our waitress was very pleasant and friendly. We were nicely greeted at the door as well as when we left. I have been there before but my husband had not and he was quite happy with the whole experience."

Service was very good and the server was personable, Food items ordered by group varied and all indicated that they would return again. As two people in the group have an Italian background and found the dishes appetizing and satisfying culturally, and the other person enjoyed theirs it was a good time. Would return again. Think the portion could have been a little larger."

  • "We visited Fraticelli's on December 30th. We had a reservation and when we arrived (approx 5 min early) we were given the table closest to the front door and at a busy corner aisle. The hostess obviously noticed the disappointment on our faces and said "sorry about the table, no one likes it but the food is great". While sitting there we noticed many people coming in and being given a pager. Within 5-10 minues they were directed to tables - obviously in better locations than ours. Would we have been better then NOT to make a reservation. Our server was excellent, wine choice very good and the food was amazing. Too bad our reservation awarded us the "lousy" table."

  • "We have heard mixed reviews from friends who have gone to this restaurant since it opened. . We had lunch at the restaurant on December 21st. My wife had the Caprese panini with Quinoa salad and I had Chicken carbonara. The Quinoa salavasas quite tasty while the Caprese panini was soggy. My pasta was overcooked, and was one giant lump in the bowl. The one thing a restaurant claiming to specialize in Italian food should be able to do is cook pasta correctly. This restaurant continues to struggle with this aspect. It is unfortunate the food is so poorly prepared as the restaurant is very tastefully decorated, and the service provided is satisfactory. Unfortunately we will not be returning as there are far better choices in the neighborhood"

  • "the restaurant is new so wanted to try it out, as it is very local to us. Being in many Italian restaurants before this does NOT have that Italian feel at all. You cold easily change the name on the front to Milestones and you would never know the difference. Food not bad but very small portions for menu prices. main course was rushed out before we were even finished our appetizers!! ( this is NOT good to push customers along ) if you are expecting a quiet dinner for 2 do NOT go here it is far from being quiet, hearing the kitchen staff yelling at each other just does not go with a quiet dinner. will not be returning to this restaurant"

  • "We went to the restaurant for a birthday dinner. The waiter was attentive and very good at offering options. The food was excellent. The short ribs were wonderful and fell off the bone. My spouse and son each had steaks that were done perfect and my other son had pasta which he said was delicious. We would most certainly good back again."

I would have expected reservations would have been seated in a booth which lends itself to privacy and less congested."

Server brought bottle of white wine and placed in the cooler on the table and walked away - we poured it ourselves. Coffee was served but had to get server's attention to get spoons and sugar."
