Diner Reviews
  • "Nice place, food was great, customer service was also great."

  • "I was looking for the Italian restaurant in Houston who cooks al dente spagetti and could find it finally . The spagetti was soft for Japanese at the first visit but at the 2nd visit, spagetti was totally al dente as per my request and very delicious. I hope to keep this conditon for especially Japanese customers. I can easily introduce your restaurant to Japanese living in Houston."

  • "We had 12 people for a birthday dinner and we had our own little room due to the open table reservation. The food was very tasty and everyone said they enjoyed what they ordered. The restaurant was beautifully painted and set in a corner of a neighborhood strip mall that had been nicely updated. Everything was great. Our only drawback was the server was slow to give us our menus to order. I could tell he was busy with another smaller party as well so that was probably part of the slowdown. However, everything else was great. They have a few outside tables on a patio that would be nice to fine on a cool night. We would definitely go back."

  • "The variety and quality of food is excellent. Pasta, seafood, veal - they excel in all. Visitors from Long Island were impressed and said it ranked with some on New York City's best. Restaurant staff did mention that they have difficulty with OpenTable reservations coming through to them at times."

  • "The Ambience would have been a star higher and the noise level a grade lower if there hadn't been a large and VERY noisy birthday party going on in the room next to the main dining area. Perhaps the door to that room could have been shut? (It may not have helped... there were kids wandering in and out, too. The food was excellent, the price very reasonable, and the service was friendly and quick. The fresh bread with the garlicy dipping oil was fabulous! And the gnocci appetizer was also really good. We made a reservation, as recommended, but didn't need it at 6:15 on a Saturday night. I think if we had come in an hour later it would have been a lot more useful, though."

  • "The only thing I would have to complain about is the smell of the restaurant and the slow service."

  • "The welcoming attitude of the staff and attention to special orders was a plus from the start. There are so many seating options. Our table of 6 was located in a private area of the restaurant separated by french doors, which were left open. The wait staff was attentive and wine glasses kept full. the salmon with mustard sauce and the red snapper with lump crab were delicious. We will return again and again."

  • "This is the third time I have been to Fratelli's and it didn't disappoint. I invited friends who had never been there and they loved it. Lamb chops were excellent, Veal piccata was perfect. Highly recommend."

  • "Fratelli's is a neighborhood spot with good, though basic, food at reasonable prices. The caprese salads were extremely tasty, with nice tomatoes and a good vinegar. I had the Fratelli's fish, which was cooked well, but the sauce was nothing special. My son's seafood pasta was also a good basic dish. Our niece had the steak special which was the most tasty of the dishes we ordered, perfectly cooked to order. The wine list is very reasonably priced but lacks variety and doesn't seem to include any special occasion options. A big plus is that Fratelli's is a fairly quiet spot where a large family can have a meal and actually talk to each other. All in all, a good place for a solid (though perhaps not imaginative) meal."

  • "Came here on valentines day to try something new. The food wasn't all that great, we both left disappointed. Won't be going back."

  • "The Good: My friends and I were impressed with the food. We liked the ravioli and many of us had the penne fratelli which has penne pasta, spinach, chicken and goat cheese. It was delicious!! We were seated in a small private room which was perfect for my gathering. The atmosphere was nice and quiet. The Bad: Service. I called to increase the size of my party and I could tell that whoever answered the phone was not really paying attention to me. I asked her repeatedly if she had changed the reservation to include extra people and she didn't answer! So we were four chairs short. Then the waiter was new..so he was slow and didn't refill our drinks. I would give a higher rating except for the service."

  • "Had the veal parm and it was the best I've had in a very long time. Very tender veal with an excellent crusting. My buddy had a roasted chicken dish and his only comment was he'll be back again for the same. Our server was very attentive and helpful. Barbara, the owner, stopped by to thank us for coming; I thought that was very classy. This is a great place to have lunch and we'll be back."
