  • "We had a great table and the food and service were excellent. This is the perfect adult restaurant for a special occasion."

  • "While I had been to Frasca many times, I never had a better experience than I did on Saturday night. I took my parents to celebrate my mom's birthday, and they treated her like a queen and even printed a special menu with" Happy Birthday April 5, 2014" written on the top. Even though I say that they treated her like a queen, it was still in the relaxed but professional way that Frasca does best. To say the food was great is of course a no-brainer, but the way they treated my mom will keep me coming back for years to come."

  • "Frasca is clearly the grown up in a sea of "children" in all of Colorado. Not to say there aren't other great places to eat, because, there are. Frasca doesn't miss on any level, it would compete for best restaurant in NYC, LA, SF, Chicago, anywhere and its hidden away with the tree huggers in Boulder, CO. (p.s. even they love it for the locally sourced fresh produce :) ). Wine list is fantastic comparable to Del Posto in NYC or Valentino's in LA. Food - forget about it, I felt more handsome and less heavy when I left - thats how good this place is. Now the cost..... there is some to consider - but I promise you will never feel like it was wasted. Go there and try everything, if you are alone in town and need a dining partner call me"

  • "Thankful to have a four course vegan meal, just as exquisite as my meat-eating peers. Outstanding service and wonderful wine. Expensive but an outstanding meal and experience."

  • "We waited over an hour to be seated for our 9:00pm reservation. Food was ok, too salty for my taste. Best part about this dinner was the experience and the service."

  • "We went here with a party of six and had a fantastic group dinner. Though it would be misleading to call the meal inexpensive, the value was incredible. Essentially, five courses, three bottles of wine, espresso's and after dinner drinks for $145 per person. The service was impeccable, and the food beautiful but very approachable. Highly recommend it. Best experience here yet (my fourth time)."

  • "The meal was such an enjoyable one. The four of us looked forward to each entree. The presentation was beautiful and bursting with exquisite flavor. The wait staff was very attentive, yet not intrusive. An overall delightful dining adventure."

  • "We have always wanted to dine at Frasca, but were disappointed in the food. The highlight was the sommelier. He was very well versed in the extensive wine list and recommended an excellent Italian Nebbiolo that we enjoyed very much. The four course meal was just not that great. The selection was disappointing and a bit pretentious. The sausage in the Musetto was okay, not fabulous. Several of the dishes were too salty including the gnocchi and the zilkrofi. The calamaretta was a noted exception - the preparation was excellent and the dish was extremely flavorful. The meat in the Terra e Mare was tough and chewy. The scallops were good, but not outstanding. Overall, for the price it was not a good value."

  • "Went with a party of five -- wife, 13yo daughter, and my mother- and father-in-law. The multi-course menu had something in each course for everyone, and it was all excellent. The portions are on the small side but they're rich, they're plentiful, and there's fantastic bread always being refilled on your plate. Nobody ever leaves hungry. The wine menu is so large as to be daunting, but they have excellent sommeliers to provide good advice. The service is attentive but not overly obtrusive. The only down side is the size of the check at the end of the evening -- but that's the one thing you have an idea of going in. So treat it as a special occasion and enjoy."

  • "Monday's wine paring menu (fixed menu and paired wines) rocked! Wines were French selections from Frasca's wine distributer, Tommy Oldre. A Grand Cru Reisling, 2012 Domanine Weinbach "Schlossberg," with an amazing salad which you could smell well before the plate was set in front of you - so flavorful! Then a fine Burgundy (2012 J.M. Boillot Montagny 1er Cru) with a fantastic pasta with milk-fed chicken and leeks. Yum!! Then a Cotes du Rhone (Coudoulet de Beaucastel 2011) which was perfectly matched with an expertly prepared lamb shoulder dish. Totally satiated after all that, they knocked it out of the park with a gumball sized ball of lime sorbet on a bed of pudding made of rice, coconut, and creme fraiche. I can still taste it!"

  • "We had the very best meal at Frasca's. They kept the restaurant open for our late dinner, as we had an evening flight into DIA. The food was more than excellent and the service was even better. We definitely want to have another meal at Frasca's the next time we are in Boulder!!"

  • "Every time we visit our friends in Boulder we reserve a table at Frasca and enjoy an evening of excellent food, wine and service. Once again we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly...we only wish it was in Boston where we live! No complaints here."

  • "First time at Frasca and we had a great meal. My husband loved the sweetbreads primi dish, we both found the insalata refreshing with bitter greens offset by a slightly salty anchovy dressing. We both had seafood for our main courses and my scallops were perfect. It would be nice if they had more than one gluten free option for dessert. Though no one course was large, we were very satisfied by the end of the meal. Service was excellent and precisely what I would expect in such a fine dining establishment."

  • "Our waitress was delightful. Very helpful explaining the Italian dishes and helping to make decisions, THANK YOU. Other wait staff was right on top of things. As far as the food, it was not what I thought it would be. Cost was way out of site."

  • "Have eaten at Frasca twice, and both times were delicious and memorable experiences. It keeps on top of 5280's top restaurants for a reason. The staff is amazing, the sommeliers friendly and knowledgeable (for that matter, the wait staff has never failed to impress with their knowledge of the wine and food). We've been to most of the top places in the Denver area, and Frasca stands out. Try the house-made chocolates."

  • "Our friends had suggested for a long time that we join them at Frasca and finally we did. They had raved about the food and the service and we weren't disappointed. From the complimentary amuse bouche through dessert the dinner was simply fantastic: imaginative preparation, remarkable taste combinations, beautiful presentation. The service was the best we have experienced at a Colorado restaurant, compareing well to the best restaurants I've visited in the U.S., Canada, France and Italy. We wanted for nothing; bread, sparkling water and wine were replenished without ever having to ask.The wait staff was knowledgable and the servers worked as a team, never missing a beat. We will certainly return for another memorable dining experience."

  • "We had always heard about this restaurant and finally managed to stop by. We were there on a Monday tasting night and it was great! The wine flight was exceptional. And so was the food. Warning - go there hungry because it's a lot of food. The staff was excellent - attentive and personable. Very nice experience."

  • "We went here for Valentine's Day dinner and it blew us away! We drove from Denver and were running late due to being stuck behind an accident, so called to let the restaurant know. We were greeted and seated and no sooner had we sat down when the Master Sommolier came over with two glasses of white wine to "help us relax" as he had heard we had a stressful drive up. Then we were taken through the menu and wine list by two extremely knowledgable employees. Our meals came out and were absolutely delicious. It seemed we never wanted for everything and that every employee there knew exactly what to do when. We were extremely impressed and will definitely be coming back!"

  • "I had the opportunity to dine at Frasca last weekend while visiting Bould. I had heard rave reviews about the restaurant prior to the trip, and it lived up to its expectation in every way. Each of the four courses was exquisitely prepared and expertly paired with a wine by their sommelier. The entire staff was very attentive without being obnoxious and knowledgeable without being arrogant. The price is admittedly higher than I usually pay for a meal, but this is definitely a restaurant to check out if you're looking to splurge on some great food in the Boulder area."

  • "We've been to Frasca a number of times over the years and we chose it specifically to celebrate our anniversary. The care that goes into both the food and the service is fantastic. Can't lose."

  • "We were not disappointed. It is expensive but we felt like it was worth every penny. The service was impeccable; we felt very special. I have a wine allergy and the server was very careful to make sure that everything I ordered was appropriate for this. Not one bad bite all night. My husband felt the wine list was overwhelming but they guided him through. My cocktails were outstanding. We will go back!"

  • "I do not like to trash a restaurant that is clearly committed to excellence and makes dedicated efforts to achieve it. For whatever reason my dining experience was acceptable but not exceptional, especially regarding the food. In fairness, the hype may have distorted my reactions, but I had one dish that was just ordinary, one that was over-seasoned (again, for me), and one that was a failure - fish with a grapefruit reduction that created neither complements nor contrasts that were satisfying. I would not give the restaurant another chance if my decision rested exclusively on my experience. I am likely to give it another chance because I know people who have been so enthusiastic about their dining experience."

  • "Everything about Frasca's was wonderful. The ambience and service were excellent and the 4 course meal was the best that I have had in Boulder. The wine suggestion perfectly complimented the meal. Can't wait to return!"

  • "The place was very good, but a bit pricey. I went on Valentines day, and service was great. The place was quite full, but there was never a moment that I was left wanting anything. The time between courses was a little long, but it gave me some time to converse with my lady, it wasn't too bad. The food was quite good, but nothing that blew my mind. The price was quite high, and I was expecting a little more. Nothing to write home about."

  • "1. There was a 30 minute gap between the first and second course . 2. The main course was 2 skinny quail wings with a total of three bland bites. There was only a teaspoon of polenta with it."

  • "Being in the restaurant business, I have a pretty good knowledge of food and cost. I really get annoyed when I go to a restaurant and pay 50 dollars for 5 dollars worth of food. We had the wine dinner and opted to include the salumi for 2 to our meal. The salumi was literally 2 super thin slices of prosciutto, 2 slices of speck and 6 tiny little slices of salami. Maybe 2 dollars worth of sliced charcuterie for 18 dollars.. Getting into the dinner there was a tasty salad that looked like it could have come from a banquet menu at a hotel. The rest of the meal was ok, but just not properly portioned and maybe overall 4 dollars worth of food between 3 courses. Then to top it off, being offered a flight of wines for 40 dollars? No thanks.."

  • "The owner and his staff made me, my wife,my family, and my two close friends feel very welcome. Attentive, on point, great wine, and a great experience. I am not used to paying this price point for eating out, but since we were celebrating my passing my PhD defense, it was worth it. It was just right."

  • "I had long anticipated dining at Frasca and it did not disappoint. Highlights included the lively dining room atmosphere, the chef's vegetable greeting, wine pairings and chicken entree. Flavors were on point and delicious. We enjoyed the best chicken entree I've tasted, simple but well executed and memorable. Wine pairings were excellent and the descriptions were in depth and enjoyable. Service left nothing to be desired despite our primary server not visiting our table until our third course. The rest of the service team kept us happy and taken care of. My only complaint: dessert wine and coffee were not offered until after we'd received our dessert course and we always get both. Overall, good experience and recommended."

  • "I was looking forward to eating at Frasca, because of all the hype. The food was ok - not great, the ambience was fair - seating was poor and too crowded and the noise level was high. For the price, it doesn't compare to other high end restaurants, anywhere. I gladly pay the price and am a repeat customer, if the restaurant delivers. Frasca does not and I will not be back and will not recommend."

  • "Our bill for two for Valentine's Day weekend was pretty hefty (for two college students).. over $300.. not including tip, and just a mediocre, cheap bottle of wine. Nevertheless, the service was outstanding and the aura was great. Our primary waiter, Eric, was a gem and the staff was polite and efficient.. rightly so, given that you're paying for the service, as well as the food. Very fancy; made us feel special. Thank you for that. Definitely will return if we're able to afford it for another special occasion."

  • "First, in case there's any doubt from what follows, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Frasca. The service is off-the-charts good and the food was simply delectable. But here's my beef (pun intended) when I'm paying $110/person I expect at least one of the courses to fill me up. Both my girlfriend and I ordered the Wagyu Hanger steak. Again, perfectly prepared and delicious. However, if you took the meat from either of our plates and put it on a scale I'd be surprised if it cracked the 3 oz. mark. No exaggeration. Picture 3 slices of thinly cut London broil and you get the idea. I don't generally feel the need to walk out of anywhere with my belt undone but I do expect to get a portion commensurate to the price."
