We were seated in a booth that afforded us a view of the very beautiful and busy room. High ceilings, with wooden beams, wonderful aromas wafting from the wood burning ovens, a glass wall with a view of the olive press room. At first, it felt like we were being ignored. There may have been a staffing issue as to who was going to wait on us, but once that was settled, our server was most attentive and the meal proceeded smoothly. Wild mushrooms were featured in a variety of dishes; one of us had the the creamy soup which was very flavorful. The house made, fresh pasta dishes were outstanding. The ambiance was good, a comfortable table against the back wall, secluded enough to hear conversation across the table, just-right lighting. The service was attentive and impeccable, and the server willing to split salads and to let us share deserts. Several members of the party proclaimed, "best dinner I've had in a long time." It was my friend's birthday, and they did everything perfectly. She did not like having bone in her chicken so they kindly removed it for her, and made sure it was to her liking. The waiter comes and checks often to make sure everyone is doing well. As for the dessert, they impeccably cut up the cake and served everyone.
