I thoroughly enjoyed the Parmesan encrusted tilapia. There are several small dining rooms since the Inn was originally a stagecoach stop. So the noise level remains low since there are only about 6-8 tables in each room. Upon entering, you are greeted by their host, Lance, who makes each guest feel like they are their number one patron. The food is absolutely wonderful from "soup to nuts"~ Their house salad is a bit of heaven on a plate, appetizers are varied and delicious, entrees are cooked to perfection and there is always enough left for take home. Traveling to and from the shore it's a worthwhile detour.
We live in AC and dine out everywhere from NYC, PHL,MIA, FLL. ETC. with this experience I can promise a fantastic food and service experience at the Franklinville Inn.
We ordered Filet tips Oscar, crab cakes and I finally tried the baby backs.
Soup or salad and 1 side included, in today's high end restaraunts that just dosent happen.
All dishes excellent! The servers are super knowledgeable and most professional due to the training they receive.
The rooms are all very quaint and period correct due to historic details.
It's all about the food service and drinks!!!

Great for special occasions (but not particularly intiment) or anytime a truely great meal is desired. Great food and lots of it at a fair price. Figure on $120+ for 2 with a couple of Martines and a shared desert. Appitizer not required but if you must, figure on another $25 for 2 people. Tax and tip included in my estimate.
Closed Sundays. Reservations a must. Make at least 2 weeks in advance for a nice selection of times.Bring your appetite.
