We started with Oysters Rockefeller,which were great ,and wonderful scallops. The family size vegetable sides were also terrific.

I guess the great food and great service is going to cost more but $150+/person is quite high for this area. I can get an equivalent experience in NYC for this kind of money. That said, however; I will be going back for special occasions. Our wait person was excellent. Food service timing was perfect. We got what we wanted and the food quality was excellent (as it always is). To be honest, I hope this restaurant stays in business because it is one of the best, if not the best in Roanoke. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Our table was ready as soon as we walked in the door. Everyone in our group was very pleased. My daughter had the filet, whereas I had the Kansas City strip with blue cheese topping. We requested that both steaks be prepared Pittsburgh style, medium rare - both were perfectly cooked with flavor beyond compare.
For us, on May 18, 2013, Frankie Rowland's delivered perfection. I can honestly say that from the lobster bisque to the main course to the creme brulee dessert that everything was fabulous. Scallop and crab special was cooked perfectly. Wagu tomahawk chop was superb. Service was spot on and relaxing.

The service was impeccable and our plates for each course were cleared immediately. It was my son's birthday and everyone, including the manager, came up to him to wish him a Happy Birthday. They even gave him a free dessert. As for the food, there is nothing I didn't love. Two of the three of us asked for light seasoning, based on other reviews, but all three of us loved our steaks and overseasoning was not an issue. The crabcakes and crab dip had huge, yummy chunks of crab meat. Everthing was wonderful! We did have a reservation, but still had to wait about 20 minutes before we were seated. The noise level was quite a bit too high. Although it didn't bother me that much, i can see where elderly people would have a hard time enjoying themselves due to all the background noise. It was hard to hear people at your table talking. The service was excellent as was the food.
