  • "Dined here on a Friday evening and we were glad we made a reservation. We were seated shortly after we arrived. The decor is dark which gives a romantic feel and adds to the Rat-pack, casino theme. The food was great and this was the best Italian we have had since leaving NJ a year ago. The spaghetti and meatballs was delicious as was the chicken piccata. The service was also great. The booths near the bar are cozy but a bit of a high traffic area."

The old school Italian fare was just what we were looking for. From the cheesy garlic bread to the eggplant parmesean, to the spaghetti and meatballs, everything was well prepared and the portions were plentiful. The server was attentive and knowledgable. We will be back."

Place was crowded but you can't convince us that walk-ins were not seated in better locales. But the food was great and the waitress was great also and of course was within easy reach for refills etc.."

  • "My husband and I were visiting the island and decided to try this out on a Friday night. We had a 6:30 reservation and we felt out of place as the other diners were older (65+). The ribs were very tender and tasty, but the cole slaw was not. The prime rib was ok, but too dry for my tastes. Their cocktail menu was interesting and offered drinks that were fun to try. The decor was fun to see as a throwback."

  • "This was our second visit this week. Frankie's is one of our favorites on the island. We were seated at our reservation time. A waiter came to take our drink order and let us know that our waitress was tied up for a few minutes. Our drinks were prompt and our waitress was on top of our night. Veal Marsala and spaghetti and meatballs were great. Will definitely visit again on next trip."

  • "We ate here on a Saturday night. We had reservations and I definitely recommend getting them. We arrived early hoping to get a drink at the bar, but it was too crowded. However, they seated us early and we were served promptly. The food was excellent, hot and our server was very attentive. Would go back again. It is a bit difficult to find in a hidden shopping center. We were told to look for the Harris Teeter and I that helped."

  • "Had some minor issues at check in since one hostess was trying to take reservation, fill take out orders and seat eat in customers. Once seated service was prompt and efficient. Total meal including appetizers and entrees took 40 minutes. We ordered off the early dining menu which is good value for salad/soup and entree for $14-$15. Early bird wines are also a deal at $2.75 per 6 OZ glass with a choice of 5-6. The pork schnitzel and the pork tenderloin were both served with whipped potatoes and were well prepared. All portions were small which is OK with us. They would have also benefited from a side of vegetables. However since this was the bargain early bird special you get what you pay for. Guinness Onion soup was OK."

It has a fun and happy environment with the crowds of people and the restaurant is laid out well with its various dining rooms and I always love the options of booths to dine in. I would suggest you go and decide for yourself."

The Stuffed Flounder had good flavor but was a white fish with plain white rice served with three pieces of asparagus served on a white plate. A very boring and unappealing presentation. Service was not very attentive and slow."
