We went Friday night for dinner and the food was amazing. The portions are large and its nice that you are able to split a plate (for a $4.00 charge) and the food comes on two separate plates. Everything was split including our salad! We ended up going back Sunday for Brunch and ordered the Twice Baked Potato Spring Rolls as an appetizer. They were outstanding!!! This has become a favorite eating spot for our family, including two kids who have already asked to eat here again the next time we visit Hilton Head!

Three of us went for dinner. They obviously take reservations and we were seated and served promptly. Dinner was terrific I almost always get the Lobster Mac & Cheese (a misnomer for a whole lobster cut up in a Penne pasta with a rich white cheese sauce). The others had equally delicious meals. One of my best experiences there. You gotta love Frank Sinatra.

Food was just ok. We have had tender steak elsewhere. The rice had NO flavor what so ever. Tha cod savannah had great toppings. My highlight was the photos on the walls.just felt like it has a revolving door policy , in and out as fast as possible. The large chicken Alfredo was small compared to other places we have eaten.

Frankie Bones gave us exactly what we asked for - quieter seating in an area where we could catch up with friends we haven't seen in a long time. They also had a silenced tv with football game we were interested in. Our meal was very good as well as the suggested wines. Our waiter was very attentive and efficient. We frequently enjoy visiting this restaurant.

We heard from locals that this restaurant would surpass our expectations...unfortunately it didn't. We had a reservation but were seated in the back with two very large groups. The noise prevent our group of six from enjoying each other's company. Three of us ordered the flounder but found it floating in a very salty sauce. I couldn't taste any of the seafoods. One had the salmon and did say it was excellent. My husband had the seafood trio and found it to be bland. We ate and quickly left and would not return.

This dinner was not up to par. The bolognese sauce on my spaghetti had hardly any meat and the salmon was dry. The service was abysmal. 10 minutes to get the six drinks after ordering. And then he did not take our order so we waited longer. One order came wrong and had to be redone. This is not typical of Frankie Bones, but then I normally go during the week and not on Saturday night.

I am a connoisseur of Eggplant Parmesan, and this one was pretty close to great. The eggplant slices were crispy without being greasy, and the tomato sauce on the pasta underneath was light and not overpowering. The bread is seriously good too. I wish we didn't live 600 miles from this place!

What happened? Frankie's used to be one of our favorite restaurants on HHI. Not any more. Who doesn't know how to cook a steak? My daughter ordered the filet cooked medium. When it came out, they steak was so rare it practically flinched when she cut into it. She sent it back. When it came out the second time, it was still blood red. They did get it right on the third attempt, but by then, we were over the experience. My wife couldn't eat the horseradish salmon, and the meatballs on my spaghetti and meatballs seemed to be more fat than meat. Chef Boyardee would have been proud. Too many good restaurants on Hilton Head to do this again. Try restaurant 843.

We come to Hilton Head for two weeks each October. With many many restaurants to choose from, we make it a point to enjoy Frankie Bones twice each visit. The salads are excellent, the lobster mac & cheese is great, the sea food is wonderful, and the steaks and prime rib are hard to beat!

Each year Frankie Bones has there Oktoberfest with authentic German/Bavarian food. One of the specials is always their combo plate which one person cannot eat, so expect a second meal of Brats, Knockwurst, Sauerbraten, Beef Roladen , Sauerkraut, red cabbage, and Spaetzle. Yummy. It was crowded on Friday October 3rd. The AC was turned down expecting the large crowd. So if you are prone to chills, bring a sweater. Even with the rain outside, there were several dining under the canopy.

Frankie's is located in a quaint shopping area off of Hwy 278. Your GPS won't get you to the door, but you'll be close. Reservations strongly suggested. We has a 7PM reservation on a Thursday night and were seated promptly in a nice "very private" booth indoors. They offer outside seating, but it's really nice inside. We ate off the "specials menu" for the night (Catfish and Short ribs). Both entrees were excellent and very reasonably priced. So, don't expect to spend big $$$$'s at Frankie Bones. Service was great. We were out of there in about 75 minutes and never felt hurried.
