From the moment we arrived the staff, the mgr, our waiter - everyone went out of their way to make the night special. We live two hours away. Wouldn't think twice about making the drive for dinner. One favorite is the Salmon Oscar that is always cooked to perfection. The service was not good this time. It took our server 10 minutes to show up to take a drink order and when I tried to order the appetizer he said he would be right back. Right back was another 15 minutes. The restaurant was not crowded but he kept disappearing for long periods of time. Only downside was spotty service this visit. Server had her mind elsewhere and requests went unfilled, wrong salad arrived and entrees showed up minutes after salads were served. Food was excellent, moderately priced by today's standards, and served both gracefully and professionally. S'Mores for dessert were a wonderful treat for our three year old who after toasting her marshmallow and gulping down a s'more said, "now it's time to tell a ghost story". We recently returned from a trip to the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Switzerland where we dined in some high end places. So for a very long time we've brought friend's and family and recommended both the Early Bird and regular menu.
We've never been disappointed and in fact will visit one more time before we leave for NJ.
Never in all the years have we had poor service at anytime and when Frankie Bones is busy it just seems our waiter or waitress is always there when we need them making everyone at our table feel like long lost friends reunited for talk and laughter.

Had a great meal there last week. Ambiance is very 50's steak house. Servers are always very friendly, professional and attentive. The menu has lots of alternatives and everything we've ever ordered has been very good or excellent. This time, I had the special rib eye which was delicious, the crab cake on the side was super, and my husband's veal parmesan was excellent. As usual the service was great and food items from the basic menus were good, I should say, consistent. But as usual, and unfortunately, the fish specials disappointed. The service does sometimes compensate for the lack of effort in the kitchen on what are supposed to be "specials". Why don't they just stick to the basics since there is really nothing special about the "specials". We like the place so, we'll keep trying. Nice interior and fun atmosphere without being at all stuffy. We had the lobster mac and cheese, which was rich and flavorful, and the Savannah Sole, which was also very good. Steak also appears to be a specialty, but some of the best selections only come with a coffee rub to which some beef purists might object. The wine list has many of the standards but also some interesting picks -- we hadn't had the Justin Chardonnay before. Service was friendly and professional. None of the up-selling that can be found in other restaurants around the island.
