The service was great and the view of the bay is phenomenal! Food was fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Also, I had the surf and turf and it was the best filet I've ever had. The seafood was really good also...calamari, spicy shrimp, Dungeness crab legs. We began with a shared cup of clam chowder which we both enjoyed immensely. For dinner,I had the sea bass in the lemon butter garlic caper sauce and my wife had the crab louie with a generous serving of fresh dungeness crab. My sea bass was delicious. For dessert, we shared the lemon torte. The outdoor seating deck is equipped with heaters and affords a stunning view of the piers and a sweeping view of Alcatraz and the fog-enshrouded sunset. Our seafood linguine did not skimp on the fish and shellfish all tossed in a spicy tomato sauce that did not overwhelm. Crab is the house specialty and lived up to expectations. The food is good, Crab is excellent, the restaurant is very nicely decorated (50s style) and the service is really good. Most think of it as a "Tourist Spot" due to location on Fisherman's Wharf, but it's not!! The views are incredible, the menu has a wide variety and the seasonal seafood items are incredible.
If you like a traditional martini, variety of local wines or a cold Anchor Steam on tap, this is the place for you!
This is now our place after a Saturday/Sunday afternoon Giants game.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMI took my fiance here to celebrateI took my fiance here to celebrate his birthday and it was very romantic, sitting by the window looking at the ocean view. The food was exquisite. My fiancee is a salmon lover and he wants the recipe for the salmon dish. I had the filet mignon it was delicious. We also had the Crab Feast for Two which was made with a garlic sauce....mmmm so tasty!! We are back in Massachusetts and still thinking about how delicious was that dinner.... we highly recommend it. The price was a bit high but great things come at a price and it was worth it.
