We had an early reservation on a Saturday night. (5:00 PM) We were one of the first parties to arrive but by 6:30 PM, the restaurant was full. We were greeted and seated right away and the service was very good. We loved the Carpaccio and the Bolognese. The portions were very large and much of our food was taken home to enjoy again. No room for dessert.

Reservation was honored promptly. Request for a bottle of wine to be waiting at table was honored very graciously. Even though the noise was loud, we were able to enjoy dinner and hear our own conversation and feel very comfortable. Food was absolutely delicious. The service was even better. Ricardo, our waiter, was very, very nice and attentive to our needs. We didn't feel rushed at all. My ONLY complaint was the wine being a screw cap and we didn't know about it until we ordered our second bottle at $33.00. For that price, a better bottle of wine should have been offered. Overall, I love Francesca's and I am looking forward to the opening of the new restaurant on 95th Street in Oaklawn, which is much closer to our home.

We felt the food was just average and the fact that the tables were clustered so close together made for a very loud experience. We could hear everyone's conversation around us, and I'm sure the feeling was mutual. Plus, everytime anyone walked by our table, my chair would get bumped from behind. We left less than impressed and slightly annoyed.

This was our first visit, and we will definitely be back! The food was absolutely incredible. We had a chicken pesto pasta and the half chicken. The half chicken was the greatest dish - we'd go back again just for that. The chicken was super moist and the sauce was unbelievable. The pesto chicken was good too, but nowhere near as good as the chicken which is their signature dish. It was a bit noisy the night we went, but it might have been because it was New Year's Eve.

My wife and I are long time cutomers of Francesca's on Taylor, and they have almost never disappointed. New Year's Eve was no exception, Our table was redy for us when we arrived, the servers have always been courteous and professional, and the food has remained consistently good through the years. We had an early dinner since we didn't have a babysitter, and we were extremely pleased to find out how kid-friendly they were. As usual, a very pleasant dining experience.

The food was great, and since my wife has an allergy to tomatoes, the waiter made sure that alternative sauces were used. We also had a very nice bottle of wine. Our waiter was very helpful. Food arrived hot and very tasty. We would definitly go back.

The food was delicious and the pasta was perfectly cooked- the waitstaff was attentive without being in the way- nice wine list and all five dishes we ordered were served piping hot and perfectly prepared. The kitchen was willing to substitute and were happy to serve veal parm (not on the menu) when we asked. The decor is classy but cozy. We were the last ones there but never felt rushed... and the desserts were yummy! Fair prices and delicious food is what you can expect at Francesca's on Taylor. I'll definitely be back the next time I visit Chicago.
