I've had better Italian but it was ok. The squash and burrata salad was great. The fish was fair and the sauteed spinach on the side was bland and undercooked. The service was good despite a busy night with a lot of large parties.

There are better Italian restaurant choices in the area. We hadn't been to a Francesca eatery in a long time, so thought we would try it. The mussel appetizer was served luke warm. I've never seen mussels served without being steaming hot. The mussel broth was a basic red sauce and seemed mass produced - no mussel infusion what-so-ever, no flavor. Seemed like they were prepared separately, then mixed together before serving. We skipped the bread dunking! The bread was good, the entrees of spaghetti & meatballs, and whitefish were good. Very nice location in downtown Elmhurst. Friendly and prompt service, nice room. The waiter took the mussels off of our bill!

Great place for a big family gathering, the waitstaff was incredibly accommodating of our big group, helping to serve people of all ages and even finding a place for us to put a large baby stroller. They were always present when needed, but we never felt rushed, even though we were one of the last tables to leave. Thank you for such a pleasant dining experience.

I ordered the Salmone di Scampi and my wife had the Spaghetti con Frutti del Mare, both were cooked to perfection. The appetizers of calamari and mussels were also outstanding. Service was excellent as well; we especially enjoyed the personal attention from the manager, Erin. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed a Wednesday night dinner here with my sisters, and was pleased to find out it was $10 off bottle wine price that night. Everything very freshly prepared and delicious. I had roasted grouper with croutons, grape tomatoes and balsamic reduction. Tasty house salad and great desserts as well. All yummy!

WE WENT FOR MY BIRTHDAY AND THE WAITRESS ASKED WHICH DESERT I WOULD PICK, SO I DID, IT WAS THE TIRIMISU, WE WERE THEN CHARGED FOR IT ON OUR BILL, WHICH I DID NOT THINK WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO WHEN I WAS ASKED WHAT I WANTED AND I HAD NOT EVEN SAID ANYTHING ABOUT A DESERT BEFOREHAND. I DONT KNOW IF IT WAS A MISTAKE OR NOT WE PAID THE ENTIRE BILL. THE FOOD WAS GREAT THOUGH THAT WAS THE ONLY NEGATIVE.

We visited this restaurant on a Friday night. It was very busy and very loud. I was there with some girlfriends for a relaxing dinner. Both our server and the bus boy were extremely eager to get us out. They came up to the table multiple times asking to take away our dessert before we were finished, asking us if we were ready to pay the check...basically hovering over us until we felt we had to leave. I thought it was very rude. Perhaps the waiter should have indicated that he was ready to close out and ask us politely to pay our bill then we could have been left alone to stay as long as we liked. It left a very bad taste in our mouths.

We are of Italian decent so we know our Italian food. We had to send back the calamari, it was way too rubbery. The homemade spinach pasta was great. The Italian dressing on the dinner salad was not good, and too many carrots. Good warm bread. Service was good.

Perfect evening. The food was fantastic! The pork Tenderloin was the best I've ever had. We had a pasta dish and a fish dish that was also excelent. Some friends who knew we were dining there, called and had drinks sent to our table which was done with a big Happy Anniversary greeting by our waiter. Then to top the night, the manager brought us a beautiful dessert on the house. Now where do they still do that? So glad we went there as they made it so special and our food was GREAT! We will go back again and again.

The service was great. The were very accommodating when I had to change my reservation from 6 to 8 then back to 7! I was early and our table was ready. Great I could have some wine and order appetizers while I waited for others to arrive. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and they gave us a great dessert sampler to share which was perfect. Pork chops that were recommended were terrific!

My party of 4 all had the waiter recommended skate wing and it was delicious: the fish was tender inside and crispy outside with a light lemon caper sauce with briefly spinich/garlic on top. It was great. The atmosphere is a little laking however, not up to other Francesca's that I have been to.

We were dining with 2 couples that have never been to Francescas. They oooohhhhed and aaaahhhhhhed through the meal. The Service is always TOP NOTCH; the food is always OUTSTANDING, very flavorful. On top of that the cost is not outrageous. The bar has a great vibe but its not so loud or acoustically poor such that 50-60 year old can still have conversations in the bar.

It was my first time at the restaurant. I went here for sunday brunch so I'm not familiar with their regular menu. The food selection was very good. I ordered an egg white omelet that came out a little too oily but other than that, everything was great. The staff was passing out easter eggs to the little kids which I thought was adorable. I would for sure recommend this place to anyone.

We met friends here for dinner because it was a convenient meeting place for all of us. It is a typical Francesca restaurant, few surprises. Our Salad Francesca was good, our pastas were good, the pizza was good but I've had better at other Francesca's. Our server was nice too. Although I everything was nice nothing wowed us. I long for the days when one could vouch t on a really delicious meal at Francesca's. Everything now seems mass produced. It's a shame.

Living on the South side, I'm familiar with the Francescas in Orland and a couple of others. Actually, I hadn't been impressed with the others, but was meeting a friend close to Elmhurst, had a gift card, so we went. My date had the same opinion of the chain, but the Elmhurst location is the Gem of the group - larger, more comfortable, better service, better bar. Definitely worth a trip

Our experience at Francesca's was average. I have been to this location and other locations in the past and felt the food was better in the past. The room we were in was very loud and there was a table next to us that was very close to us. These people may have even worked for the restaurant. It was hard to have a conversation because we were constantly distracted by the people next to us. Overall the experience was fine, we will come back but make sure to ask not to sit so close to other tables.
