"We were a group of four and all had a fine dining experience. The menu is on the small size but encompasses enough variety that even finicky eaters can find something that they can enjoy. Thought wine selection could be better. We brought our own and even with a 20 dollar corkage fee, were enjoying better wine then we could purchase there."

"I took my in-laws to here for a belated Christmas present. Ambience aside, the food was delicious and surprisingly moderately priced. We had the Lobster and Steak special, Pork chops, 1/2 Chicken and the Steak (alone). All were fresh and sizable plates. Definitely will go again."

"Not the best choice for a vegan, but I asked if I could get some sauteed veggies and rice. The waitress was very nice and said 'sure'. I was delighted to see a beautiful bowl of assorted veggies along with some black rice, until I saw the bacon. Fortunately, my friend had ordered the farro salad and was happy to switch with me. We scraped off as much of the feta cheese as possible from the farro salad. I should have just ordered that salad without the cheese. It was delicious. My friend was very happy with the veggies, rice and bacon. Great place, but probably not the best choice for vegans."

"Good, not great. Food bland for my taste. Decent portions perhaps somewhat overpriced. My steak not as succulent as I like. Wife's pasta creamy and enjoyable, though not special. But this was first visit. During meal saw dishes going to other tables that looked promising--the fish in a paper bag, for instance. Will give restaurant another look."

"The food was great but service was soooo slow, as others have commented. 2 hours for lunch was way too long to wait. People who came after us got their food before us and it was the same stuff. Hubby had the asparagus soup which was very good. His mushroom agnolotti was to die for - large and lots of it. My Black Sea was unique and very good - black rice with sauteed garlic and lemon juice topped with thin slices of scallop. We shared the chocolate purse but it was overcooked and was more a cake rather than gooey chocolate flowing out. I liked the atmosphere better than the Santa Monica location."

"Fraiche in Culver City has been a culinary star for sometime now. There new menu is very small and composed of the top favorites from over the years. The black mussels in a steaming broth
with crostini on top, cherry tomatoes and fennel is a light, wonderful way to begin your meal.
My date had the Steak Frite which was perfectly done and served with a horseradish cream sauce that beautifully highlighted the sliced steak.
The frites, however were another matter. On this night they were soggy and crumpled together. My Branzino wrapped in parchment paper and roasted in the oven with vegetables and limoncello was light and delicious. I do, however, think that the fish portion could be more substantial."
