First off, we were an hour late arriving for our reservation due to bad GPS directions. The restaurant was very thoughtful when we arrived though and never made us feel bad about our GPS nightmare. For all others this place is 1 block off of I-20 exit 517. :-)
The food was incredible. The steak is like butter and ohhhhh sooooo good! Our table ordered 2 filets, Turbot (fish specialty for the evening) and pork chops. All were EXCELLENT! Next time (and yes there will be a next time) I will order the biggest filet they have. Oh and don't let me forget to tell you that you HAVE to order the creamed corn. To die for!!!

My ribeye was absolutely the best I have ever eaten. The service was excellent, We started with a huge platter of onion rings and creamed spinach appetizer and ended up bringing some of it home.

The only critique we had was the hostess sitting at the door was not friendly and looked bored. She barely addressed us when she seated us .. we weren't sure if she was talking to us when she took off for our table. She also didn't speak when we left. She needs to be reminded that she is the restaurants first and last impression. Also--our waitress was very sweet but we felt like she forgot about us half way through our dinner service;she recognized it as well as she comped our dessert (we didn't ask her to do that - but that was nice). Overall this restaurant is our favorite...Love Love Love the food and atmosphere/views.

We were celebrating our anniversary but did not mention it except on the online reservation. After our meal they brought us the dessert we ordered, chocolate mousse (which comes in a glass bowl), on a plate with well wishes written in chocolate around the outside edge of the plate. Very nice touch. Also, the waitress gave us a verbal Happy Anniversary when we where departing. In such a high end and high food quality place i would find me a team that would make the experience INCREDIBLE. When you are being tipped from the price on the bottom of the bill your service needs to reflect the same level.
This was my 5th time to Four Winds.. The Food has ALWAYS been outstanding. This restaurant is pretty remote from population centers yet had a large crowd on Thursday night... there's a reason it has survived almost 8 years. It has a plain, pleasant interior with nice views, the staff is helpful & friendly, and the steaks are good and grilled exactly as requested (as they should be). My wife's scallop appetizer was over-salted but was replaced without fuss. My Shrimp Remoulade which was much different and spicier than normal. It had the spicy dijon sauce (which was for the crab cakes on the menu) and was a good combination, so NO complaint. Menu and Wine list selections are modest but good.
