I have only had breakfast food here but some in our group had lunch and it was very good as well (I sampled it). The bacon is great. Sounds weird but it is like no bacon I have ever had before. The pancakes are very tasty and huge. Our waitress was great as well. She was very nice and attentive. Even the food servers wer very friendly and had great personality. The food is well -prepared, there is a wide range of choice, the portions are generous without being too much, the presentation is always clean and appealing. I have also been delighted by attentive wait staff -- it's great to know when to provide engaged service and when to just let the customer conversation flow without unessential interruptions. The noise level is a little problematic. It is sometimes hard to hear, especially when the restaurant is full -- which is most of the time. Very good food...the tart was the best quiche I've ever had. Service was fantastic. Is a very loud restaurant. If you are looking for a romantic or quiet atmosphere, this is not the place to go. We were not rushed from the time we sat down to when we left. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and food sensitivites. He offered drink selections based on our likes and tastes. We were able to talk without shouting, even with the room vibrant with others dining and chatting. We were a smaller party; I noticed booths and tables that would accomodate larger groups. We got there early although the reservation was for 10 a.m. (our party shrunk from 5 to 2), and they were happy to accommodate us. Although we both have had beignets in arguably the best place for beignets, we split an order. They were not good: slightly on the heavy side, too doughy, almost not cooked through, not enough powdered sugar, and the dipping sauces were meager. But everything else was really good: "New Orleans style" stuffed french toast, premium black pepper bacon with maple syrup for me, and a poached egg for my friend. We split the french toast. Love how everything is made inhouse.....with farm fresh ingredients. So many things I wanted to try on the menu. Excellent bar offerings ....loved the drinks made with fresh squeezed juices. We waited patiently and were kept updated by the host staff that there were 7 tables that had settled their checks and that the staff was just waiting for those parties to leave. At about 7:15 the host staff apologized again for the wait and gave us menus and told us to pick out appetizers on the house for the inconvenience. We were then seated about 7:20. The manager then came to our table and apologized again for the delay and reminded us to choose appetizers gratis. We then had a lovely dinner - the appetizers were great - so large that we then ended up taking a good bit of our "mains" home for lunch the next day. But the great food made up for some of it. I had the shrimp and grits and my friend had the crab cakes we tasted each others and both meals were well seasoned and really yummy. We had a farm bread before the meal and the one we picked the onion jam, brie cheese and apples on superb artisan bread was the best. The drinks are special- get the old cobbler (new one is different) which is pretty much a mint julep made with good bourbon. I like sitting downstairs better than up, just a nicer space. I saw so many things on the menu that I wanted to try but ended up ordering Chicken and Waffles which was not at all what I expected. I hate to say it was boring, but it was - just half a waffle and a chicken breast and thigh. It came with the most DELICOUS mac and cheese though. So now I have to go back and order Mac & Cheese as a main course. And my friend had a fabulous looking burger with avocado slices which I will also order. Fries were not great. Several people ordered the Beignets which looked so good I have to get those too. I have to say that I am very impressed with the menu, the wait staff and service. Both times I was there for breakfast. The choices and the quality of the food is great. Who doesn't love homeade biscuits served with butter and honey? I dine with two ladies in their 90's and they had no complaints (that in itself is amazing). The interior is very cool, very open, high ceilings, interesting decorations. Everything about this place is cute, down to their mini mailbox that houses the check, and the "to go" containers. My dad and brother got the chicken and waffles, my fiancé got a pan scramble, and I got the farmers breakfast with sausage. We all could not stop talking about how amazing the food was, the juice, and even the coffee. It is really hard to please my dad with food and he did not have one single bad thing to say. He even went to the kitchen to tell the chefs and manager how good our food was! Amazing! Incredible! My four year old loves the bacon lollies and loves to go there just for them and the fresh orange juice.I have only been dissappointed once with service and that was I went in with a friend to sit at the bar and order my favaorite drink the organic cucumber melon. So for a quick drink I would definitley go somewhere else, for brunch, lunch and dinner for any occasion I would highly recommend. The food is great and so is the ambience. Bacon wrapped dates were delicious. Fried chicken, pot roast and deviled eggs were so so. The greens served with the fried chicken were cooked way too long and needed more seasoning. Southern style greens should have a strong smoked or ham flavor, these did not. Restaurant was pretty loud; the outdoor tables probably would have been a better choice. I have had a number of dishes and they have all been delicious. The wait staff is also very knowledgeable about the menu, so if you have any questions, be sure to ask. The only down side is that the place can get noisy during peak hours, so if you want to talk with someone, this might not be the place for you (there is an upstairs area that is a little quieter). I have not had a bad meal here,my current favorite is the Ahi Tuna Poke Salad is wonderful (but that is only because I just had it). Also be sure to check out the fresh catches for interesting seafood options.

This time I came here for a mother daughter dinner with party of 9. Our waiter Renny did an excellent job of guiding us through the menu. The wings were amazing and everyone loves the cocktails with their infused liquors. I had my all time fave there, the ahi tuna poke salad. It was so good I was sad when it was gone. For dessert, we shared the chocolate mousse and then a pot of the French press which was potent and smooth. The only snafu was that our entrees got mixed up a little and people had the wrong sides. I'm guessing it was an error in the kitchen but not quite sure.
