We were about two minutes late for our reservation so we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. Food was pretty good. Service was ok. They make their own soda so if you want a Coca-Cola, they bring it to you in a can. One of our canned sodas was flat. No free refills. Two people in my party were not given their "change" back from their bill payment (i.e., change due from bill was $6.33. Customer was given $6). We had to ask for our change. Is this customary?

I've been here 3 times. I've always enjoyed the food, and the service seems above and beyond what you get from most other restaurants in the area. I recommend reservations during peak hours. The place has a busy bar, so it can get quite loud. They have an upstairs area I've never used, but would imagine it would be quieter up there if you were looking for more peace. Front parking can be hard to find, but there is an underground garage and they will validate parking for 2 hours.

My group had reservations at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. We were seated right away, but waited a while for a waitress to come to our table (she told us she had just gotten to work and so didn't know the specials or beer list that night and had to get those before taking our drink orders). The group split a few appetizers, but did not get our dinners until about 6:15. Three of us ordered the Southern Chicken on the waitresses recommendation, which was apparently the dish holding everything up. The other three dishes came out first, and were all a bit cold as they had obviously been ready for quite a while. The manager came over to apologize and brought up complimentary biscuits. The food was great, but the service was lacking.

This place had different atmosphere from the D.C branch. This specific location is great for parties and group gatherings for people who want great good and restaurant, but can be slightly loud. I had Skirt steak and Enchilada and that was a great choice! Somehow the corn had blend taste even though there were some seasonings, but enchilada had some taste, so it was a good combination. The steak was little bit more cooked then how I want my mid-rare want to be, but it was still tender with great texture.

My husband and I enjoy dining at Founding Farmers for breakfast and brunch. However, this visit wasn't as enjoyable as our previous visits. Our server wasn't as attentive as we would have liked her to be and the food was well below the quality we're used to from FF. However, my husband informed the manager that we weren't happy with our meals and he offered to pay for our next meal. I would have preferred to have an immediate solution, but I was satisfied and I will definitely return to FF.

It was my third time going, and as usual the food there was excellent and the staff was friendly. In all the times I went there, it was a bit noisy for my taste, but that is a minor thing. If going, I would highly recommend making a reservation early and getting there early. In the past, when making the reservation, I have found that occasionally there some times aren't available for my party size even about a day in advance. Get there early too, you may need to wait for your table because of how crowded it is.

to this Founding Farmers and I'll be back again. The food is just outstanding- bacon lollies, had the biscuits tonight, everything is just so good. I'm not sure if they were under-staffed tonight or what but the service tonight wasn't as good as our last visit. We had a reservation and still had to wait for about 15 minutes. Also, our server wasn't around much and when he was at the table he seemed to be pretty rushed. Everything else is so outstanding though, I'll try it again and see if this was a fluke!

This is a very busy, rather noisy restaurant in North Bethesda/Potomac. There is a big bar which looked like a pretty convivial scene. It seemed that you can order food from the bar which would be good for drop ins who don''t want to wait for a table. If you want a table reservations are a must, at least on weekends. Our server was very nice and worked hard but with the level of activity it was a struggle. There were the dreaded "dead moments" that all restaurant patrons hate; water comes then a long wait. Bar order is taken then a long wait. Biscuits did not arrive with the meals because of a delay in the kitchen, etc. Food was quite good and the price is reasonable. A fun and lively place but be prepared for an uneven experience.

This restaurant markets itself as serving farm fresh food. Honestly, I can't tell if the food is or isn't, but the menu is different from the normal with several unique items (the Popcorn is a must try, as is the Corn bread - and they have a lot of bread options if corn isn't the one for you). The food is good, and, again, you'll enjoy the reading the menu. The restaurant is lively, almost loud and was crowded when we went. We made reservations, and they couldn't seat us early, because of the rush, even early on a Sunday. I didn't mind, however, because all of the staff really was running around - not one lazy person on the floor! Nice to see. This is a good place, fun. Not the best food, but not the usual fare either.

Everyone in our group enjoyed the food especially the fried green tomatoes. There was a wide variety and it was all good tasting and fresh. Fun drinks. The mousse for two was enough for three. The decor was nothing special and the restaurant is noisy, but the service was excellent. Make sure you make a reservation unless you want to wait an hour or two.

Although I prefer the original location in DC, we were still impressed with the food quality (sometimes that tends to differ from location to location). The MoCo location had ample parking in the garage below and they validate (first 2 hrs are free). Like the original location, even if you have a reservation, you will still be waiting around 15-20 mins before you get seated. This location also seems to have more open times than the DC location as well.

I went here for brunch with a friend from out of town that I hadn't seen in a long time. Our waitress was very friendly, I never saw the bottom of my coffee cup, our food arrived quickly and was nothing short of amazing, and at the end of our meal, we didn't feel rushed to leave our table (despite the crazy long line of people waiting for a table) so we were able to sit and chat for just a little while longer (but we made sure we tipped well). The only problem we had was that the tables were a little too close together, so the lady that was sitting next to us dragged an edge of her coat through my butter, jam, ketchup, and hot sauce, but it really wasn't that big of a deal.

Took my wife to eat out here on a whim. The menu items were great for me, an all-American "meat & potatoes" kinda guy. The waiter took the time to explain the story behind the restaurant's purpose and to make custom tweaks to my wife's order to suit her taste. Beer selection is good too.

We have eaten breakfast here several times and the two things that make us hesitant to do it more open are high prices for small portions and inconsistent service. Tuesday the service was fine and Shannon was very friendly and accommodating. However, our breakfast for two with tip was $33. Coffees were $4.00 each. One order had the meat breakfast but no eggs and was still $9.00; and in my opinion, one sausage and a moderate amount of hash browns is not enough for the price.. Everything else was fine but these two issues prevent us from din9ng here often as it is a very good experience went things go right.

Not as good as the DC outpost. Little to no ambiance upstairs, service was terrible. Food was average. This Founding Farmers Restaurant was Great with everything they did right and perfect. I will return. But when Marzano's Italian of Springfield Franconoa, VA messed up (even cancelled my reservation as I was eating there). No one cared or responded to the treatment we received. I will never return there. Neither you Table Top nor the restaurant cared to address the flaws. I don't look for places to eat for the points, I only use the Apps for the ease of reservation service.

I chose Founding Farmers as the location for my birthday brunch with family. Two of the people in our group are vegetarians, and we were all coming from other events earlier in the day. Founding Farmers was the perfect location, with a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and fit all of our dietary needs. We waited less than 60 seconds to be seated (thanks to a reservation) and our server was very friendly, knowledgable, and answered all of our questions about the menu.

We had told them how good the corn bread was only to be told they were sold out of corn bread & biscuits! The couple next to us sat down a few minutes after us & ordered & got corn bread! Strike two! Really impressed by all the food options. Tasty alcoholic drinks, nice apps and really good dinner menu. Our party all enjoyed their selections. Service was very disappointing. Got drinks at bar while waiting 10-15 minutes for an 8 pm reservation. Hostess rolled her eyes because she had to wait a minute for us to settle the tab. Also, dinner came out from the kitchen just a few minutes after our apps. Hardly had a bite before the entrees were dropped off at the table. Horrible spacing and absolutely unacceptable. Spoiled what we hoped would be a nice restaurant experience.

We enjoyed fried shrimp, short ribs, shrimp louie salad, and a gluten free special along with signature drinks. The fried green tomatoes at the beginning put us in the mood for roasted tomato soup and squash soup! the trio ice cream selection with coffee was a great way to end a delicious meal.

We've been to FF's before, and always like coming back as the atmosphere, food and service are fantastic! They sat us in the upstairs section this time, which we liked as it wasn't as noisy as the main level. I had the Gnocchi's with shrimp and scallops in a cream sauce. Delicious! We always get the corn bread, and we started off with the bacon lollies. Again, both were delicious! We will definitely go back.
