The restaurant was a good Sunday brunch place to celebrate my friend Ernie's 70th birthday, as he strongly supports the local organic food movement. The waitress supplied a birthday candle for Ernie's ridiculously large slice of carrot cake with a smile and an "of course!" The only downside was a high level of ambient noise, made worse by thumping music in the background. Lose the sound track and FF would be perfect. My wife & I look forward to enjoying the new Georgetown branch of FF.

I've been to this restaurant before but during the most recent visit I was a bit disappointed. First, I made reservations and arrived 15mins early, but was then told they had given my table away and I had to wait a few more minutes while they prepared another table. Since they had given our table away, I expected something like a free dinner, appetizer or something, but I think my expectations were too high. Then for the price of the drinks, my husband's glass wasn't even a quarter of the way full, which was highly disappointing. Then our waitress was not attentive at all. She was slow and would check on the people surrounding us but wouldn't check on us. We had to flag her down a couple times just to get her attention.

We got there at 8.30am for our 8:45am Sunday brunch reservations. We went in front of the line to inform them that we had reservations and the host said sent us to the back of the line where we lined up until 8:45am. We finally got to talk to the host and were sat down at around 9:20 am. They seemed irritated that we insisted on a booth even though we had 2 infants and a toddler in our party. The waitress was the worst, rushed us to order - she must have come back about 5 times within the first 7 minutes then completely rushed us through the meal. She tried to clear the toddler's pancake plate 4 times! The bathrooms ( upstairs and downstairs) do not have a baby changing station so this is definitely NOT kid friendly.

  • Vegetarians beware!

If you are a strict vegetarian, beware of the vegetarian options that are fried! A beef by-product of some sorts is used to fry some of the vegetarian dishes! I was very disappointed by this finding on my last visit. I hope they'll seek to rectify this gastronomic injustice and return to the pure definition of preparing a vegetarian meal; sans meat or it's by-product. A once extensive vegetarian menu is now down to only three meals safe for vegans and vegetarians to consume.

This time we were celebrating two birthdays. For appetizers we had the cornbread and fried green tomatoes. Both were delicious. We also tried the picked vegetables.... wasn't impressed with that. For our entrees we had the shrimp & grits and the chicken & waffles. Everything was awesome. We finished by sharing some red velvet cake. Yum!!!! Love this place!!!

They definitely like to turn over their tables quickly. Our sever was good but not too attentive ti it came time to bring the bill, before we had finished and wanted to order something more. Then the hostess stopped by to be sure our bill had been brought too. Evidently our 45 minutes there were too long. The food was good but their strong points for brunch are definitely the sweeter things, Benedict was a bit dry and salty and same for sausage and gravy. Cranberry juice is amazing and the donuts amazing.

It was too loud to have an easy conversation, and I would not recommend the tuna poke salad. It was pretty disappointing - tuna was very bland. The deviled eggs (appetizer) also left something to be desired, but love that they're on the menu! The fried green tomatoes are a MUST, and you can't go wrong with the steak entrees - beef is true North Dakotan fare, and they do it very well!

Great location for any celebratory reason. We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had a reservation and waiting just a few minutes after arriving to be seated. The menu is expansive and includes something for everyone. Try the kettle corn as a starter. It was salty-sweet, but not overly so. Perfect start to the meal. My friend wanted to order the cauliflower steak but wanted some protein to go along with it. The restaurant was very accommodating and she was able to enjoy both the cauliflower, along with some chicken. The waiter recommended his personal favorite, the shrimp and buccatini, which I had. It was cooked al dente and came with plenty of pink shrimp perfectly cooked. Save room for dessert - beignets were delish!

I came there after work with a friend and was sitted on a tiny table. People passing by constantly pumped into me which made impossible to relax. The food was nothing special and quite overpriced for the low quality and simplicity of the dishes. Finally, the waitress charged my credit card twice so that I had to open a credit card charge dispute case with my bank. Stay away from this overrated place!

The selection at this restaurant is amazing and every time I have eaten here, including tonight, I have found the quality of the food outstanding. The table service is great also. My only complaint is the long wait time to be seated, even when you have a reservation. There just always seems to be a bottleneck in the foyer area and it's uncomfortable. That said, I would gladly return because overall, I think it's a great restaurant.

I've been to this restaurant for dinner several times and loved everything about it. But my last visit was for lunch and it was disappointing. I wanted to eat something healthy and ordered chicken salad and it came drenched in gooey creamy sweet dressing, chicken heavy with mayonnaise mayonnaise and barely any lettuce or anything green. Place was noisy and the people at the next table were seated so close on both sides it was uncomfortable. Waiter looked annoyed that I asked for a different healthier dish. I will come back again for dinner ( their fried chicken great) but not for lunch, not for salad and definitely not for lunch business meeting.

This place had delicious food which met our high standards. The menu had losts of standard meat and potato type dishes but with flare. As a vegetarian, I had several entrees from which to choose, but the menu is still meat-heavy and you must ask to make sure which items are cooked in meat fat or broth (the fried green tomatoes, for example). The drink menu was the most interesting component: they hand-make all their bar mixers and sodas. And the selection of cocktails was based on pre-prohibition liquors, according to our server. This place was crowded, so a reservation is necessary. Noise level is loud, but if you like a bustling scene which is apparently a local hot spot, its worth it. Lots of young professionals.

Really enjoyed lunch with a friend this week. Food was absolutely delicious. Mushroom swiss reuben from meatless menu was exploding with mushrooms on perfectly toasted bread and melted Swiss. Exactly right portion size. Colin was attentive without being intrusive. My friend and I were catching up after not seeing each other for years and the FF team was tolerant of our extended conversation. Noise level is disruptive and tables on top of one another. Recommend some soft surfaces to help absorb some of the noise and removing some tables. I know no restaurant likes to give up that income but it would improve the experience significantly.

We were sat at a booth in the bar area and it was far too loud to foster any dinner conversation. The food was delicious and the waiter was kind but he could not hear our order so we had to re-order our appetizer and my meal was incorrect and had to be sent back. My party was halfway through their meal before mine came out. I would recommend it to others, but I was slightly disappointed with our overall experience.

I made my reservation for two, a couple of weeks in advance. When my reservation was confirmed, there was a message, "size of your party cannot be increased without contacting us by internet." That was a new one to me. Walking over to the restaurant, we ran into a friend who was on his way to Founding Farmers - without a reservation. We were told that it would increase our wait time if he joined us. Our friend ate at the bar. So much for that. We were seated upstairs. The friendly server told us about the restaurant and we made our choices. I had the butternut squash pasta - which I liked very much. My friend had roast chicken which she said was not special. Bottom line - make dinner choices carefully and have a reservation.

The food is the star; all the food, not just the main entree. Very fresh and perfectly seasoned. The portions were generous so, given how good the food is, you may have a hard time not over eating. Very friendly staff who know the menu.
