"I am from NYC so have much experience eating in 4 star restaurants. As a CEO, I travel to 30+ countries and have eaten in thousands of restaurants. The ambience at The Foundation Room in the Showboat Casino is in my top ten. The food is average. They did not seem to have enough waiters so our waiter was very slow to return to the table, then when he did, was very rushed and out of breath. We paired glasses of wine to each dish, but it arrived after the dish was finished so sent it back. The staff is very pleasant and professional in demeanor. ONE VERY NOTABLE SERIOUS ISSUE IS THERE IS NO DOOR SEPARATING THE DISHWASHER FROM THE DINERS, FINE DINNING WITH DISHES AND PANS CLANGING INSESANTLY, I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED THAT BEFORE, TERRIBLE!"

"A unique design, private dining with soft sofas ... difficult to get a drink at the bar even though only 6 people were there. But with wine in hand, we had a wonderful dining experience during restaurant week in AC. Will definitely go again and recommend to friends."

"We went to the Foundation Room for restaurant week and couldn't be happier! While the food was amazing and interesting, the tastes were simple and enjoyable to everyone in our party. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nothing like you've seen before with authentic Indian decor. What really set the trip over the top was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. They were happy to chat with us while not being overwhelming and were very happy to answer any of our questions. We will definitely go back again!"

"When we were seated our waiter came over and asked for our order and we advised we needed a few moments. Once we received our drinks he came over again and advised us a table of 10 was just seated and we should put in our order. So we then gave our order 20 minutes after we were seated. This amount of time was not a significant amount of time for us to sit before giving our order. We were rush and the place was empty. The food was good. We do like small plates. Small plate restaurants we have been to accomodate for the amount of people at the table. At the end when we received our check and ready to go the waiter had stopped me to check our money/room charge. He asked the spelling of my last name. He could have looked at the reservation."

"All Tapas. Neat restaurant, great environment and interesting "prayer rooms" on the way. Food was an eclectic mix of tapas that some dishes made it and others missed the mark. Puzzle dessert was cute. Worth going to with a small group."
