Since we ate early, we had our choice of selecting a table. We were very fortunate to have Harry as our server. He was pleasant and very knowledgeable about the menu and wine selections. Food arrived in a timely manner (but we were not rushed).
In a city with thousands of restaurants, we rarely go back to the same one, but forty2West is definitely the exception. Tried their burrata as an appetizer and they serve a cool new twist on caesar salar ... grilled! Excellent! They had an Ivory Salmon dish on the menu; outstandingly prepared, much more delicate taste than the regular pink salmon.

Came by again after work and had a few drinks at the bar.
I'm starting to recognize people. Guess that's a good thing.
The weather's getting nice and they had the big windows open.
I had a great meal at one of the window tables.
Having fun now experimenting with different menus items.
I hear the Chef like to change the menu.
The Veal Chop was awesome. I was tempted to start chomping on the bone.
The bar was happening and they had some dollar oysters at happy hour.

great meal. The same familiar servers now remember me which makes me all the more comfortable, coupled with a new Spring menu with creative options and wonderful steaks.
After dinner we enjoyed a few drinks at the bar.
They started a happy hour which I plan on going to after work.

Our waiter and support staff were all knowledgeable of the menu. The Tuna Appetizer & Shrimp Cocktail were a perfect start. The fresh made pastas were outstanding. Everything that we had from dinner to dessert were fantastic. We chose this restaurant based on the reviews from opentable and they were completely accurate on describing this restaurant. I like a restaurant that is consistent and the food and service were just that.
I also like being comfortable. The staff recognized us from our previous visit and treated us like family. Everything was top notch.
We were told the Chef likes to mix up the menu with the seasons.

While the offering changed somewhat, we were very pleased with our meal. We had the Porterhouse for 2. It was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and delicious. We were pleased, because our last few times at AJ Maxwell were not very good, but we thought with the groupon it was worth trying again. IT WAS.
