Fork! is commited to bringing you - the customer - the freshest ingredients from local farmers markets when in season. Our main focus is on a daily menu filled with creative small plates. Our service staff is here to help you relax and guide you through our menu, cocktails, wine and beer list. It is their goal to make every visit a enjoyable one. Either with friends on the wrap around porch or a small bite and a glass of wine after work.

  • "We ate the most wonderful food from the "daily" menu--all so fresh, well-prepared and attractively presented. My favorite was a small plate of house-made ricotta cheese dumplings with meatballs. My wife loved the crab and melon appetizer and raved about the tilefish main course. All in all, it was a great dining experience."

  • "The food was good but it took an hour to get salad & then another thirty minutes to get entrees & sides. All the food was petite portions. Just under acceptable honestly. For $20 my piece of meat should be a little bit bigger or come with a side item. The wait was unacceptable though. They apologized repeatedly, but there was nothing done to make it right. It was my mothers birthday & we waited an hour for our delicious but very small salads. I'm all for appropriately small portions, but I shouldn't leave hungry if I spent $25-40/person. If you're looking for a place to have a few small bites & sip on a bottle of wine, I recommend Fork. I have heard they have a great brunch menu & I'm always for garden/farm to table place."

  • "We've been to Fork twice - once for brunch and once for dinner. Brunch was lovely, and enjoyed the afternoon. We tried dinner there, and even though the food was nice, I was left disappointed. The menu is bland, with the server explaining that it's unique, since you can choose all your accompaniments, kind of like all other restaurants. And the meats came with designated sauces. The service was good, the drinks cold and also good. It's a beautiful location, and if anyone adds some effort to the menu, it could be outstanding."

  • "We had a Girl's Night dinner here...WOW. From the cute, quaint rooms to the food...unbelievable!! Our waitress, Megan, was adorable, charming, witty and knowledgable on every menu item we asked about as well as the wine & drinks lists. The portion sizes were PERFECT. All 4 of us tried each other's apps, mains & sides and we cannot decide on a favorite. The chef is a genius and very talented. A nice mix of menu choices. Big wine list, craft beers, specialty drinks, etc. We left satiated and smiling. This is our new favorite place and we also have a new favorite wine & server!!! 😄"

  • "...needs work. Food was stellar. Best beef medallions I've had in ages and the Key Lime cheesecake for dessert was wonderful. And it's a testament to the quality of the food that we'd definitely go back even though the temperature in the restaurant matched the 80 degree heat outside. The staff said there were issues with the HVAC system they were trying to get fixed, but it did out a ding in an otherwise excellent meal. Definitely go, but look for a cooler evening, sit on the porch, or wait until the fall."

  • "Four of us finally tried Fork! and we were blown away by the food. Everything we ordered was delicious. The house was welcoming and the front porch has tables as well. Parking was behind the house. I have eaten at the Chef's other restauarants and he didn't disappoint. I cannot wait to go back for dinner, and I want to try the brunch as well. It did get very noisy as the night went along, largely due to a big group in the room where we were seated."

  • "This was an unexpected find in a converted old house in an unconventional location . The building itself was exceedingly charming, the wait staff was highly qualified and the food was gourmet quality. I will definitely be back again and highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "I normally don't write only bad reviews but this one needed a heads up to the staff. The food was excellent but pricey for the portion. That was ok. However, I think they would have patron retention if the service was improved on. The food took over 45 minutes to arrive, the bill took forever to arrive and the waiter disappeared after giving us our bill. So, after waiting 20 minutes, I had to walk up to the bar, where there were several waiters sitting doing nothing including the manager, to ask if they could run my bill. It was my first and last time dining there."

  • "My husband and I are just in town waiting to close on a new house. We found Fork on OpenTable. What a great night. Food was delightful....especially loved the peas! Our server, Brandi, really made the night for us. She made menu suggestions based on our preferences. We were not in a hurry to go back to our hotel, so Brandi suggested a comfy cushioned spot on the porch for our after dinner drinks and dessert. Perfect ending to a great meal. "

  • "My husband and I tried Fork last night to celebrate his birthday. Our dinners were delicious. We enjoyed the apple arugula salad, beef medallions, grouper, fingerling sweet potatoes and goat cheese Mac and cheese. All were excellent. My only complaint would be the entree size, especially of the grouper. Service was excellent. The noise level was quite high and as our table was within 2 feet of the couple next to us, I felt a bit awkward. Once the room cleared a bit, everything was perfect. Several people were dining on the porch which I would opt for the next visit. All in all, a great dinner!"

Two suggestions...we were led to a high top table which nobody wanted to eat a lovely meal at a bar table but they were gracious about getting us a regular table. The special of the day menu is a little confusing too. We will definitely go back!"

  • "We went to Fork! for our 10th anniversary dinner. The food was really the best we've had at any restaurant in the area. We had an early dinner, so we had one of the dining rooms to ourselves for most of the meal. It can get a little loud with more than one party in a room, so if that would bother you, an outside table would be best. We can't wait to go back! "

  • "Went out for a much anticipated date night to FORK Friday night and were so disappointed. Couldn't get a reservation for our desired time, yet the restaurant was empty most of the night, and then they seated us in the back of the restaurant near the bathroom, kitchen, and service restaurant. The smell of the oil lamps was so overwhelming that we had to ask to move outside. Our server didn't offer us anything that the server of the next table did, my husband's salmon was raw, my tenderloin was overcooked, and there was a hair in it. We had great hopes for FORK, but unfortunately, they missed the mark all around. "

  • "What a fantastic local haven. We are so lucky to have this amazing "farm to table" restaurant in our backyard. The food is always delicious and done perfectly. The daily menu has us looking online every day to see what might be served. The creative drinks and special martini's make it a great place to stop for a nightcap. We recently went for Mother's day brunch and had a wonderful time, great food and a memorable experience. What else could someone ask for? I'm afraid this is going to become a hard table to get. "

  • "This was our first visit with a group of five for Easter brunch booked perfectly through Open Table. We appreciated the opportunity to combine items from the brunch and lunch menus. The food was excellently prepared. The salmon siracha was outstanding as was the sliced lamb shank and sausage biscuits. The rake and couscous, mashed potatoes and kale/spinach side dishes were great. Our only complaint was that two of the a la carte side dishes came out about ten minutes after the entrees were presented. The waitress was very apologetic and the manager credited the two desserts ordered later. We will definitely give this place a second chance and look forward to exploring a dinner menu."

The food is outstanding, with a great twist on many classic dishes. I love the fact that many of the ingredients are from local farmers! Ambiance and decor is great, with a very classic yet fresh and funky feel to the place. The waitstaff are extremely friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I cannot wait for my next visit!"

  • "I love this place. Food is sourced locally and the menu changes daily according to what is available. There are a few standbys on the regular menu though. I always order from the specials where the chef can get more creative but the goat cheese mac & cheese will have you hooked! They have multiple mac & cheeses on the menu but this one will keep you thinking about it and tasting it for days. Staff is attentive and the old home it is located in tastefully done, even with a somewhat awkward layout. You won't be disappointed. Daily specials are listed on their Facebook page but you may not get in if you want until that same day."

  • "Given the Farm to Table concept, the special menu was extensive, as it should be but the regular menu had great offerings as well. The a la carte style of pairing your entree with a preferred side was fine with me as at most other places I might choose against my preferred entree because of the side. Every dish was delicious; the lamb shank, perfect; the flounder special, delicate, the special vegetable risotto, loose (as it should be) and refined; the muscles app, tender and zesty. I highly recommend this place as an alternative when visiting the Davidson area. Wine selections by glass were good and the servers were friendly and attentive, although we didn't receive our bread until the yummy muscle broth was cold. Minor infraction."

  • "In a cute house off the main drag in Cornelius, Fork! has charm and an eclectic menu that relies on local ingredients, whose suppliers are listed on the menu. Our entrees in our group ranged from chicken to beef to scallops, and all were very good0000apps or "bites" ranged from Asian ideas to a yummy beet salad with goat cheese. Charlotte folks shouldn't let the lake folk have Fork! all to themselves....we'll go back."

  • "Lived up to our expectations from newspaper reviews. We ate off the daily specials menu and found everything prepared perfectly and delicious. The vegetable side dishes were the true highlight for us. We would consider a meal of just appetizers and veggie side dishes. Dessert was good, not as great as main courses. Our waiter was a little over the top in asking us if we thought the place was great multiple times. Our dining room was very loud with hardwood floors and loud larger tables keeping up quite a roar. We felt a little rushed, and our bill was delivered to the table with dessert, which made me feel that they wanted us finished. We did not feel the pace and pressure was appropriate, only there for 1.5 hrs."

  • "We have generally had good experiences at Fork and this was the first time we had a negative reaction. Most of our selections were good in terms of quality and taste, but two beginning salads were EXTREMELY tiny at $6.50 per plate. Three of the 4 entrees were very good and the sides were also quite good. But, the pork tenderloin was a huge disappointment, due to size at a fairly high price and a presentation that was so stark it was just unappealing. Flavor was okay, but not much sauce and no garnishment of any kind in comparison with the other three entrees served at our table."
