The service was average for a high-end restaurant. The food was outstanding. The oysters were the best I ever had, except for one that was bad. When we let the waiter know this, he took the whole serving off the bill. My husband had a delicious fish-and-crab entree. I had a rib-eye steak that was done to perfection. They even had a good decaf espresso! The street is cozy and with a warm ambiance on this the first summer night of the year. The restaurant interior is steakhouse classic, a bit too dark for my taste, but very nice. Our childcare plan fell through and we ended up bringing our 4-month old, unsure of how this would be received. The staff were able to find us a nice booth located where the little ones noises wouldn't bother other diners. They were also very helpful in altering my wife's entrees to avoid dairy. The food was excellent, and the wine list is (IMO) the best in the Los Gatos area.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Steaks and Sides !!!Great food. Steaks are always cooked as requested and very tasty. It's too bad they don't have smaller steaks for kids (They had a 6 oz, but no 4 oz), but they were very flexible about having a larger steak split in two for our two kids. It tends to be a little 'chilly' in there, so definitely prepare for a little bit of a cooler environment. Portions are a good size (not overly large, nor ridiculously small). Sides are good for sharing. Sauteed spinach and the mushrooms were very good. Mac and Cheese was 'ok'. Filet was delicious. French Onion soup was very good, but the red wine within it was a little stronger than preferred, but that's a subject taste.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AM***Outstanding! ***My husband & I came here for an anniversary (it was our first time at this restaurant) and I would give it 6 out of 5 stars if I could. Everything from our waiter Tim who was extremely knowledgable and the ambience to the outstanding food was over the top. I had the crab encrusted sea bass and it was the best thing I have ever tasted, EVER! My husband who is not the easiest foodie to please was stunned from the superb cauliflower bisque, the filet mignon that melted in his mouth through to the passionfruit cheesecake. I've never heard him be so silent! ;0)

We always order the 14 oz ribeye and it has never disappointed us. Cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The drinks are also very good there. My husband had his birthday. He took the option of getting a steak, fish and lamb plus appetizer and dessert for $59. My seafood risotto was delicious. One of my daughters had the halibut and she really enjoyed it. My other daughter had the appetizer sampler. She loved that. Desserts were fabulous. My husband had the chocolate cake, I had the creme bulee, my one daughter had the sorbet. The service was top notch-very attentive. The restaurant asked at confirmation about any special instructions. I told them we have someone celebrating their birthday. Upon arrival, the staff made every effort to make him feel special. Our menus arrived with a personalized prix fixe menu honoring our birthday boy--very thoughtful touch. The food was across the board wonderful, from fish to chicken to steak, all outstanding. We ordered dessert and they surprised us with a special birthday chocolate lava cake with the plate decorated with Happy Birthday written in chocolate. Lovely... My conclusion was because they don't serve main entree without taking out the plates from the appetizer. My wife and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary there recently. The food was fantastic! Everything was prepared perfectly and exploding with flavor. The only negative aspect was the place was very noisy. it wasn't just one table nearby, it seemed the whole place was packed with diners who were just having a great time.
