Once again, Forage American Brasserie's chef has produced excellent faire for our evening out. New menu items have been added which include tweeking of items formerly offer, as well as some new items. Our BLT wedge salad was excellent, featuring a delicious blue cheese dressing and crispy iceberg lettuce. The latter seems to be where most restaurants fall flat. Our entrees were scrumptious, and adequately portioned. We'll be back again soon.

My husband and I had one of our best dining experiences at Forage on Friday evening. We chose it specifically for their vegan selections and their ambiance. The food was fantastic! There were 4 selections for vegetarians, 3 of which were also vegan and the 3rd was easily modifiable. We had 3 of the 4, including the vegan-modified one. My husband is not vegan, and he was also extremely pleased with his meal. I should also say that these 4 dishes are raw, but that made them even better. So flavorful and healthy!. The best part of the meal was when Chef Ralph came out to our table. He was very excited to talk to us about the food, and his passion is contagious! I would highly recommend this restaurant to both vegans and non-vegans.

Our first time at Forage, and we will be delighted to return (as a matter of fact we already have reservations for the next two weeks …… with friends who are anxious to dine here!). The menu has a nice variety of choices, and we all thought the food was marvelous: beautifully presented, luscious and perfect sized servings. Our wait staff were helpful and attentive. This is a special restaurant and we are so lucky it is a convenient drive away.

The Shops at Main Street in Exton, PA, is a charming mall but it has struggled to attract a good quality restaurant; it may finally have one in Forage American Brasserie. Offering both indoor and outdoor dining, this new restaurant has a limited but exciting menu. Being a BYOB is an added benefit, allowing for a very tasty meal at a reasonable price.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch at Forage. Chicken wrap with avocado aioli. Tender chicken chunks, mouthwatering flavor. We also had the tuna club. Ahi tuna slices, applewood bacon and in season tomatoes served on grilled rustic white bread! Both served with in house shaved potatoe chips and fresh salad. Looking forward to going for dinner. A big city restaurant in the suburbs! Brilliant!

I was in the area for the first time and saw that the FAB had pretty good reviews and was BYOB, a new concept to someone from Boston used to paying a corkage fee. The gluten-free cornbread was dry and probably a real treat to those sensitive or allergic to gluten, but unnecessary for the rest of us. I appreciated the place being more inclusive, but couldn't they just give the option of g-free? They serve the cornbread with passion fruit punch which is too sweet, especially when starving and looking for something more savory to start. The rest of the meal, though, was great and that's why I still recommend the FAB. I had the brussel sprouts and the duck and it was delicious. FAB earns a solid 3 stars for me.

Forage was a delightful treat for my mom, sister, and I on Thursday evening. We were able to sit outside comfortably, with not a lot of raucous noise from other diners or other passersby coming from the various Main Street restaurants and and shops. One word for the food: scrumptious! Unfortunately for such a great dinner, the wait service was terrible! Our server had only been in her position for a month (she told us) and it showed. She didn't check on us and didn't come back for water and coffee refills. I don't know what was happening inside the restaurant, but the time lag between courses was deplorable, and it was not busy outside. Despite her terrible service, we will return because the food and ambience was awesome!

This restaurant is a gem! The food is innovative and savory and the model echoes similar gourmet restaurants without the matching budget-busting price. My husband and I each had the chef tasting menu which allowed for three selections (roughly appetizer, main, dessert), with the entire menu at your disposal (nothing is omitted from this option). This cost $35/ea and was exquisite. The decor was elegant and there was outside seating available, too. We've already booked our next dinner with friends at Forage.

We stumbled upon Forage accidentally, and are so glad we did! Appetizers -- small plates, like the pork belly dish -- and entrees (I had the duck breast) are absolutely delicious and creative, fit for foodies like us; but dessert.. OMG, dessert was over the top. We enjoyed the fresh buttermilk waffle, with Meyers Dark Rum Bananas Foster + Nutella Madagascar vanilla ice cream, and it was Heaven on a plate. I cannot even describe it. What I can say is: Since we've been here, we've been planning when to come back and enjoy more of the chef's deliciousness. Very soon, I hope! If you're looking for fine dining, New American cuisine with fantastic service (in a beautiful setting), then don't walk-RUN-to Forage.

Food, service, ambience, and personal attention make this restaurant very good to begin with, but the chef's love of trying new things REALLY puts Forage in the first class realm. Don't be afraid to ask for a slight modification to your meal--not only will the staff honor your wishes, but may even come up with a better way to serve it than you've thought of! The duck is phenomenal. Try the blackberry cabernet sorbet for a unique dessert experience. Food-allergy friendly; you won't feel like you're being a nuisance to the staff. Prices are very reasonable.

We were thrilled to find this gem in an Exton shopping center. We enjoyed the 3 course Tasting Menu, each of the 5 of us choosing a different appetizer, but 3 of us had the same entree. The short ribs were so tender and flavorful, and the duck and the filet were also outstanding. We have only lived in Pennsylvania for 4 1/2 years, but this was certainly in the top 5 of meals we have enjoyed. I would put it in the same class as Birchrunville Cafe. The fact that it is a BYOB is an added bonus.

Read the mixed reviews before we went. This BYOB is in a location that doesn't get a lot of traffic. The food was excellent quality, very tasty. Portion sizes were on the smaller side for the price, but still not that bad. Service was awkward, but maybe we can attribute that to the newness of this restaurant. Will try again in the future.

No idea what the draw is here--menu of small plates somehwhat overpriced for the amount of food. Southwestern salad had rubbery shrimp and a small serving of lettuce. Short ribs??--seemed like chuck roast-tender enough but lacked seasoning flavor. Just don't get this place! Probably OK for lunch.

Our first visit to Forage American Brasserie was enjoyable. My wife and I arrived for an early seating only to discover the establishment was BYOB. Fortunately, it is located a block away from a Wine & Spirits shop. Our server was prompt, but not overbearing, and the food was excellent from presentation to complexity of flavor. We are tempted to try the Chef's sample special on our next visit, which will be soon.

Okay Chester Springs we're not in Kansas anymore! This is the finest restaurant this side of the main line. Fresh and expertly prepared food. Excellent service. Flavors are unique and it's obvious that a lot of thought goes into each dish's preparation and presentation. (We witnessed this by having front row seats to the open kitchen). The restaurant catered to my wife's restricted diet without missing a beat. The atmosphere is inviting and the property is immaculate. Hopefully other area restaurants will take note and start upping their games.

We celebrated my husband's birthday with friends at Forage and were most impressed by this new restaurant in Exton. The server was very sweet but our group was very vocal and she had a hard time being heard over our chatter. Everyone seemed to enjoy their entree. I ordered the salmon upon recommendation and my the four sitting around me ordered the filet mignon. Their plates were covered with meat, potatoes and a salad, where as my entree was placed on a stack of tiny potatoes with no green vegetable. Adding steamed or sautéed asparagus would have made all the difference to balance to the visual presentation. Deserts were delicious. We will go back to try out the small plates. Bringing your own wine makes it all the more appealing!

I really like this restaurant and cannot wait to go back to try more things on the menu. I do a lot of gourmet cooking at home, so when I dine out, the food needs to be exceptional...this is one of those places. The desserts were to die for...especially the croissant bread pudding. We did not realize that there was outdoor dining or we might have chosen to eat outside, but it was cozy and enjoyable inside, too. Great meal...oh, and I also thought that the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food.

After having read the great reviews and we were very excited to try Forage. The small plates were quite good. We had the tuna and the shrimp. Unfortunately, we were rushed by our server who cleared the dishes before we even had a chance to finish. My beet salad was very nice. From the large plate menu I ordered the filet mid rare. What I received looked and tasted like flank steak ( it was served thin sliced) and was over cooked. My husband had short ribs. He said they were quite fatty. The large plates were served by someone other than our server. He did not bring us forks. We had to take the forks off the table next to us. We will not be returning anytime soon.
