I was so very impressed with this restaurant. The service was amazing. Everyone we had contact with seemed very happy to see us and could not do enough to make this visit a very special one. The food was outstanding with a very nice presentation. I received a gift certificate for my birthday to try this restaurant and took my husband and sister for lunch. We all enjoyed our visit and I know I will definitely go back and also highly recommend the Forage to friends and family.

Four of us ate most of the menu and enjoyed everything. Hostess/Manager was very friendly and got us off to a good start. Service was knowledgeable and attentive. Prices are in line with the size of the plates. We are in the restaurant business and look forward to returning. Flourless chocolate torte to end the night. Appreciated the amuse bouches to start the meal.

this was our second trip to Forage. We had the tasting menu both times - $35. for three courses. The menu is thoughtful, seasonal, and delicious. Desserts are wonderful as well. I personally like the cheese tray for dessert. Service is friendly and timely. Forage is a great addition to the Exton area. Chef Ralph and his staff do a great job. This restaurant is proof that fine dining can be affordable as well as delicious. Bring good wine to go with the great food.

Our 2nd visit for dinner, and we took advantage of the 3 course (small plate, entrée and dessert). Each dish was very well prepared, and in the case of the duck to the requested medium rare. interesting sauces, clearly fresh ingredients. A BYOB hidden on a strip within Main Street shopping center. We hope this delightful bistro catches on (it was nearly empty on a recent Thursday evening) so we can return often.

Had the three course tasting. Great value and all of our party found the preparation and presentation to be excellent. Was so impressed got back on open table during dinner and made a reservation for next week. Go! You won't be disappointed.

As usual, dinner was very good, but my partnes's portion was small. My burger was very ample and good. I think The Jail Island Maine Salmon, which she has had before, was smaller that usual. I hope this isn't a trend because she likes it .... We do plan on dining again and hope the portion is larger as, with her dietary issues, she can eat the Salmon

What was nice about Forage was the portion sizes were adequate, and the price reflected them. We had appetizers, entrees, and desserts; and we did not feel stuffed. It was nice to leave with a satisfied feeling, not like we overindulged. The food was very good, and we liked that it is a BYOB.

Our first time here -- so glad we found Forage. Usually dine at Amani and Avalon locally and looking for a change. Food was wonderful. Great selection. Fresh ingredients. Loved the use of grains. Very interesting flavor combos that hit the palate perfectly. Server was young, but well spoken and really knew her stuff. Best duck I have had in a long time - done perfectly, wonderful presentation.

I highly recommend this restaurant for the food... perfect execution on every dish we ordered, and a very good cheese board. Unfortunately, the waitstaff has no idea how to properly decant wine and proceeded to 'dump' a 20-year old Cabernet I brought along into a carafe without understanding that all of the sediment would mix back into the wine. Fortunately, the restaurant was very accommodating to me, allowing me to filter the wine from a glass pitcher through cheese cloth back into the carafe; disaster mitigated!!! While the waiter was very apologetic, the lack of training at this restaurant should be remedied by the restaurant management, and the standard of knowledge regarding proper wine service should be learned by the waitstaff.

We have now been to Forage 4-5 times and it just keeps getting better. The structure of the menu is very attractive with portion sizes that allow for desert, if you are so inclined. The beet salad was artistic but a bit short on true beet flavor. The salt and pepper shrimp were perfectly cooked. The prime burger was delightfully over-the-top, difficult to eat with proper dignity and completely satisfying. The Ultimate Sundae was similarly over-the-top and too big to finish. This is a restaurant that believes in providing an interesting experience and succeeds. There is a reason why the tables are all full.

I have had several great lunches here so I decided to have my birthday dinner here with my husband, sister and parents. While the food was delicious, the service was very disappointing. My husband, being a vegetarian, ordered a salad without prosciutto for his main meal after his appetizer. It came with the meat wrapped around the lettuce. He very politely told the waitress. She returned with another salad about 15 minutes later when the rest of us were done our meals. Shockingly, it had more prosciutto on it the second time! At that point he told her never mind. We thought they would clear our plates and we could at least order coffee and dessert. Instead of clearing our plates or sending over a manager we had to wait an additional 15 min.

So glad a quality Chef and staff have come into that spot in Exton. Like that its BYOB with the State store just across the street so convenient. Refreshing menu and has the right sized portions as we're not looking to always have a "doggie" bag when we leave a restaurant. Food was great, we were able to split a salad with out any fuss... and our 6yr old could get "buttered noddles no problem. All in all was very good, we will be back soon!

The menu has changed with the season and the loud music has disappeared. All good. The offerings, portion sizes and prices are nicely balanced, providing the opportunity to enjoy an interesting three course meal including a nice desert splurge without being stuffed or generating a requirement for 30,000 steps on the day following. The newly added foie gras was sinful and terrific, a melding of flavors and mouth feel that is among the best I've had. Pork tenderloin avoided dryness and kept great flavor. The Meyer lemon tart was great, but was eclipsed by the blackberry cabernet sorbet. The strip mall location does this fine little restaurant no great favors. Go, you will enjoy.

My husband and I came here and were happily surprised to find that they had slightly altered their previous menu from a few months ago to a new tapas styled or chef's tasting option. The food was beautifully presented for each of the 9 course tasting that we ended up choosing to do and each course was amazing. The combination of the courses paired very well together and we left feeling extremely full but very pleased with our entire meal. We will definitely be back.

This is a wonderful little restaurant with the best food my friend and I have had in years. The menu was interesting and the food was unique and heavenly. We did the food tasting and everything was superb. There was not a bad or even mediocre thing. I chose the duck, and she picked the short rib, they were both outstanding. The shaved brussel sprouts and the Asian pear salad were the best ever, and the desserts were to die for. It is a BYOB but we view that as a positive in some ways.

This restaurant is quite a find. The food we had from appetizers salt & pepper shrimp, southwestern shrimp ceasar salad, and the awesome brussel sprouts, were all delicious. My husband had the duck breast entrée which was perfectly cooked as was my salmon with summer veggies. For dessert we had the cheese tray - again delicious. This is our new "go to" restaurant. The food is exceptional and the prices are moderate. Chef Ralph came to our table and we congratulated him on such a great job and the adventuresome menu. We will work our way through this menu. Service was friendly and spot on. The staff really knows the menu and service as well. Can't say enough good things. Keep up the good work.
