The menu has changed with the season and the loud music has disappeared. All good. The offerings, portion sizes and prices are nicely balanced, providing the opportunity to enjoy an interesting three course meal including a nice desert splurge without being stuffed or generating a requirement for 30,000 steps on the day following. The newly added foie gras was sinful and terrific, a melding of flavors and mouth feel that is among the best I've had. Pork tenderloin avoided dryness and kept great flavor. The Meyer lemon tart was great, but was eclipsed by the blackberry cabernet sorbet. The strip mall location does this fine little restaurant no great favors. Go, you will enjoy.

Went for dinner on a whim and sat outside. The food was fantastic - we did 3 courses and enjoyed the foie gras, cheese plate, duck and short ribs. The desserts were heavenly - crème brulee and waffle. Our server Quentin was attentive and energetic. Loved finding this BYOB so close to home. Will add to our list of favorites and go back soon.

This is a wonderful little restaurant with the best food my friend and I have had in years. The menu was interesting and the food was unique and heavenly. We did the food tasting and everything was superb. There was not a bad or even mediocre thing. I chose the duck, and she picked the short rib, they were both outstanding. The shaved brussel sprouts and the Asian pear salad were the best ever, and the desserts were to die for. It is a BYOB but we view that as a positive in some ways.

This restaurant is quite a find. The food we had from appetizers salt & pepper shrimp, southwestern shrimp ceasar salad, and the awesome brussel sprouts, were all delicious. My husband had the duck breast entrée which was perfectly cooked as was my salmon with summer veggies. For dessert we had the cheese tray - again delicious. This is our new "go to" restaurant. The food is exceptional and the prices are moderate. Chef Ralph came to our table and we congratulated him on such a great job and the adventuresome menu. We will work our way through this menu. Service was friendly and spot on. The staff really knows the menu and service as well. Can't say enough good things. Keep up the good work.

Love this new BYOB! Have dined here twice now and both experiences were exceptional. Smaller sized dishes with pricing to match that gives you the opportunity to try even more of their unique and flavorful combinations. The fact that you can bring your own wine makes Forage even more enticing. Our waiter, Will was attentive, friendly and very helpful with the menu. Have to say were very happy with everything we tried but the stand outs for us were the duck breast and scallops entrees. Hope this restaurant develops a following because it deserves it, I say that with a little hesitation because so far we haven't had an issue getting a reservation.

We heard good things about Forage from friends. Saw sone service issues in reviews, but had great service from Abby and the rest of the staff. All staff that we dealt with we're friendly and efficient, and I believe they want to make this place succeed. Also saw complaints about portion size, but I think those reviewers must be crazy. The plates are small portions where you will not have leftovers, but are very correctly sized for the price. I am fine with not having leftovers when I am not spending $28 for an entree. I thought the food value was excellent and more than fair for the price/quality ratio. I write very few reviews, but want to say. "Go here, it is a great BYOB gem for the area and they deserve to stay around, so visit Forage"

Forage is a gem. The food and service were fantastic. My husband and I are moving to the area soon and will be regulars for sure. I am a stickler for fresh, healthy, locally sourced food and Forage did not disappoint. The flavors and presentation were on par with a top NYC restaurant yet the prices were quite reasonable. Highly recommend!

First, the food was good, really, really good. The service was really bad. Every course we ate, small plates, salads, main course, desserts, all were good, good enough that we will go back despite the service. It was a comedy of errors in terms of service. The sexist waiter, courses served on top of each other--while we were still eating one, the others arrived, and we are not slow eaters--being given our dessert menus before our main courses had even arrived, having to get up and track the waiter down to get wine glasses, etc. etc. Despite all of this, the food was really good. Next time we will go back and tell our waiter how to serve correctly.

Once again, Forage American Brasserie's chef has produced excellent faire for our evening out. New menu items have been added which include tweeking of items formerly offer, as well as some new items. Our BLT wedge salad was excellent, featuring a delicious blue cheese dressing and crispy iceberg lettuce. The latter seems to be where most restaurants fall flat. Our entrees were scrumptious, and adequately portioned. We'll be back again soon.

My husband and I had one of our best dining experiences at Forage on Friday evening. We chose it specifically for their vegan selections and their ambiance. The food was fantastic! There were 4 selections for vegetarians, 3 of which were also vegan and the 3rd was easily modifiable. We had 3 of the 4, including the vegan-modified one. My husband is not vegan, and he was also extremely pleased with his meal. I should also say that these 4 dishes are raw, but that made them even better. So flavorful and healthy!. The best part of the meal was when Chef Ralph came out to our table. He was very excited to talk to us about the food, and his passion is contagious! I would highly recommend this restaurant to both vegans and non-vegans.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch at Forage. Chicken wrap with avocado aioli. Tender chicken chunks, mouthwatering flavor. We also had the tuna club. I was in the area for the first time and saw that the FAB had pretty good reviews and was BYOB, a new concept to someone from Boston used to paying a corkage fee. The gluten-free cornbread was dry and probably a real treat to those sensitive or allergic to gluten, but unnecessary for the rest of us. I appreciated the place being more inclusive, but couldn't they just give the option of g-free? They serve the cornbread with passion fruit punch which is too sweet, especially when starving and looking for something more savory to start. The rest of the meal, though, was great and that's why I still recommend the FAB. I had the brussel sprouts and the duck and it was delicious. FAB earns a solid 3 stars for me.

Forage was a delightful treat for my mom, sister, and I on Thursday evening. We were able to sit outside comfortably, with not a lot of raucous noise from other diners or other passersby coming from the various Main Street restaurants and and shops. One word for the food: scrumptious! Unfortunately for such a great dinner, the wait service was terrible! Our server had only been in her position for a month (she told us) and it showed. She didn't check on us and didn't come back for water and coffee refills. I don't know what was happening inside the restaurant, but the time lag between courses was deplorable, and it was not busy outside. Despite her terrible service, we will return because the food and ambience was awesome!

This restaurant is a gem! The food is innovative and savory and the model echoes similar gourmet restaurants without the matching budget-busting price. My husband and I each had the chef tasting menu which allowed for three selections (roughly appetizer, main, dessert), with the entire menu at your disposal (nothing is omitted from this option). This cost $35/ea and was exquisite. The decor was elegant and there was outside seating available, too. We've already booked our next dinner with friends at Forage.

We stumbled upon Forage accidentally, and are so glad we did! Appetizers -- small plates, like the pork belly dish -- and entrees (I had the duck breast) are absolutely delicious and creative, fit for foodies like us; but dessert.. OMG, dessert was over the top. We enjoyed the fresh buttermilk waffle, with Meyers Dark Rum Bananas Foster + Nutella Madagascar vanilla ice cream, and it was Heaven on a plate. I cannot even describe it. What I can say is: Since we've been here, we've been planning when to come back and enjoy more of the chef's deliciousness. Very soon, I hope! If you're looking for fine dining, New American cuisine with fantastic service (in a beautiful setting), then don't walk-RUN-to Forage.

Food, service, ambience, and personal attention make this restaurant very good to begin with, but the chef's love of trying new things REALLY puts Forage in the first class realm. Don't be afraid to ask for a slight modification to your meal--not only will the staff honor your wishes, but may even come up with a better way to serve it than you've thought of! The duck is phenomenal. Try the blackberry cabernet sorbet for a unique dessert experience. Food-allergy friendly; you won't feel like you're being a nuisance to the staff. Prices are very reasonable.

We were thrilled to find this gem in an Exton shopping center. We enjoyed the 3 course Tasting Menu, each of the 5 of us choosing a different appetizer, but 3 of us had the same entree. The short ribs were so tender and flavorful, and the duck and the filet were also outstanding. We have only lived in Pennsylvania for 4 1/2 years, but this was certainly in the top 5 of meals we have enjoyed. I would put it in the same class as Birchrunville Cafe. The fact that it is a BYOB is an added bonus.
