Fond is a local gem. The preperation of the food is excellent and comparable to any of the fine dining establishments in the city. A bit tight for seating but a great place for a fabulous meal. Reasonably priced for the portions provided with exceptional presentation and quality. The complimentary sqash soup sample was a nice way to start off the meal. Will be back soon.

An extraordinary meal that will stay with me for a long time. I wanted a bit more rice with my spanish octopus and could eat their fois gras 3x a day and skip normal food and regular meals.

Could have been a great experience, but the service was not good. Some of our party was about 25min late for a 630p res. We ordered right away when they arrive, but the servers rushed the food out for both courses in less then 30 minutes. We then sat for 45 minutes before the desert course was served. IT WAS NOT NECESSARY TO RUSH US. I know they need to turn the table, but they went way overboard. Will never go back and not recommend to anyone.

We were given a gift certificate to Fond for Christmas - having never been before we were looking forward to it.
We opted for the 7 course tasting menu, and only after ordering this and getting our first course we realized we should have mentioned one of us was not a fish eater. The first course was Tuna Tartar - which was tasty.. with a little red curry paste...
After this we chatted with our server - and he made arrangements for some non fish courses - which was very nice of them to cater to us.
Each course was more sumptuous, and richer than the last. And all very tasty.
The deserts were fabulous - and 3 of them!!!
The room is small, and the tables are close together - but you do feel on top of the other diners.

I had my second Fond experience tonight and they age like wine. Again, they blew me away with their perfectly crafted cuisine and excellent service. I will definitely be returning and would recommend Fond to anyone.

I nearly walked-off right away with Fond as we had a reservation and were told it was going to be 20 minutes longer - magically they found a table and ran outside after us and we sat right away. Everyone this night got the 20 minute message as they walked in so attention needs to be paid to booking. Salt & Pepper are right next door with a full bar so I suggest you check-in and then go there for a drink, they will come get you. That said the food was amazing - everything was prepared wonderfully and presentation was terrific. Fond has risen very close to Bibou in terms of food and presentation - just need to tighten up around the bookings and give a tad extra service wise and you they be 4 bells in no time - book now while you still can
