  • A Very Meaty Experience

I wanted to try a restaurant that I had not been to before, (as I am a big "foodie"), and brought a friend along with me for the first time to sample the culinary delights as well. We both truly enjoyed our Brazilian Steakhouse experience. In addition to the 17 meats available, (which were very flavorful), we also enjoyed the healthy and delicious salad bar offerings. I would also like to comment on our server "Junior", who was by far, the best part of our dining experience. His customer service was just right, and I would highly suggest that you ask to be seated in his section! Junior, is very knowledgeable about the menu, and will answer all of your questions. He should also apply for a side job as a comedian, as he will certainly turn your day around into a positive one! Warning.....you'll have lots of delicious meats to choose from, and the side dishes all balance out the meal appropriately.

The flavors of the beef were excellent. There were a lot of great choices at the salad bar. My only complaint was that the beef was very over-salted, for my taste anyway. The restaurant is fairly expensive, so in my book it's a special occasion place.

I was visiting a friend in Phoenix and put her in charge of our dining experiences for the weekend. Our first night she chose Fogo de Chao, and it was awesome. You start off with a spectacular salad bar with meats, cheeses, and a huge variety of salads. Then its on to the main course, turn over the disk on your table from red to green and it's like a meat avalanche. All different cuts of beef, pork, lamb, chicken, and sausages. When you need a break turn the disk back to red. Overall it's a great date place, it's a little spendy but well worth it for that special occasion.

I have been to three Brazilian steakhouses: Churrasco Brazilian BBQ in Guam, Texas de Brazil in Florida, and Fogo de Chao in Arizona being the third. And Fogo de Chao is the best one! As I enter the the restaurant, I can absorb the good ambience and the classy look of the interior. The staff shows great teamwork like a well-oiled machine. You do not have to stick to one waiter like most restaurants. Also, there is a lot of waiters running around at any time, meaning that you do not have to watch the kitchen doors for 10 minutes to see your waiter. The food is excellent. Everything I tried on the salad bar was heavenly. All the meats were seasoned to perfection. Just make sure you are hungry to make that $49.50 per head charge worth it.

I took my mother and sister there for their birthdays and they loved it. The food was great and the staff was so nice and friendly too. I wanted them to have a nice birthday party and they did. Their desserts were on the house and they enjoyed them too. This is my favorite place to eat with family and friends.

This was a great spot for diners that a truly meat lovers! The ability to choose from several different types of steaks and other meats as often as you wanted was a huge appeal for my special occasion. My only complaint was at the beginning we were constantly being asked if we wanted to order a drink or wine and we had no time to just peruse the wine menu. I felt alot of pressure to make a choice.

The food is always great here. This Fogo however has the best service of any Brazilian-style steakhouse I've ever been too. The staff here is knowledgeable and engaging. I've taken many friends or family who have never been, which some in the past found the restaurants concept to be confusing or odd at first but most typically enjoy it once they grasp it. However this location is great at making everyone comfortable and allows first timers to really enjoy the experience.

Wasn't sure what to expect as this was our first time at a Brazilian steakhouse. The service was excellent. Waiter after waiter came through and the Guarana soda was a treat. Meat kept coming. But the shocker was the bill. No hint of what to expect until it made its way to the table. I should have expected it, though, since there wasn't a price in site. I'm sure my wife was not impressed enough to return but I can recommend it for a special occasion for others so long as you don't hit a big crowd. The noise level increases with the open dinning room.

My wife and I love Fogo de Chao! The food is always cooked wonderfully, and you're bound to find something (or some things) you find delicious. The price is high so we won't be going on your typical Wednesday night, but it is our go to place for special occasions. When the servers found out it was our anniversary they were so generous and brought us a dessert with Happy Anniversary on it. They didn't need to do that, but went above and beyond!

Went out for my wife's birthday with a couple friends. Due to food allergies of one of the friends we called ahead. They gave the phone to the top chef and manager so we could explain the allergies. They said when we got to restaurant ask for Marco, we did. He personally walked our friends through the salad bar and menu explaining every single ingredient in each dish. I've never experienced better service! The food was unbelievable and prepared perfectly! When it came to dessert, they brought out the dessert my wife ordered with a candle on it and Happy Birthday scrolled on the plate. It was a perfect end to an amazing meal!

Fogo was a HUGE disappointment. Went there w/a party of 7, to celebrate 2 bdays. It was our first time there- they left us sitting with no plates or explanation of how things work for 30 MINS. It then took 20+ mins to get every drink we ordered, and the waiter that took our drink order was visibly annoyed we wanted to order drinks. Food was unimpressive- bacon-wrapped filet tasted like it was going bad, no one was able to eat theirs. Meat was not a high quality, and the meal was way overpriced. Two people ate only salad bar because the meat was not good, and still had to pay the $44/person cost. Took 30 mins for dessert to arrive, had to ask for my last drink 3x's. Decor was beautiful, salad bar was great- but none of us will be returning.

The food was fantastic! The only negative thing I would say in our experience was there were too many different servers coming up to us asking the same questions. As we settled in trying to figure out what drinks we wanted to order about every minute someone would ask us if we knew what we wanted to drink. The waiting service was a little too much. We had someone at our table about every minute. Would like to recommend that the waiting staff communicates so there aren't a bunch of waiters going to the same table asking the same question.

This is non-stop delicious food and meats. It is pretty authentic and has most all of the main meats served in Brazil. Once you turn your card over to green, all sorts of meats will come. Plus, you have 30+ items in the salad bar and they serve beans, rice, polenta, mashed potatoes, sweet caramelized bananas to your table. I also recommend the Lime Juice, it has free refills and is great. Top notch restaurant, top notch ambiance, top notch food.

We dine out weekly and have been to several of Scottsdale's popular and high end restaurants. The quality of the meat was sub-par. I had expected more since the meat is their claim to fame. The salad bar and desert were far superior. This could be a fun place foe a large group but if you are looking for a nice date night experience, this in NOT the place. I would categorize it as bar dining as opposed to fine dining. Honestly, there are more bar and family dining restaurants in Scottsdale with superior quality food.

Very good meat and service - My one regret is not SLOWING DOWN. If you stay on 'Green' huge amounts of meat just pile up on your plate and its all over in a flash and you can't remember what the stuff is. In other countries (outside of Brazil) , these places tend to be mean with the meat so you have to stay green. The service here is so fast and attentive that its all over in a flash! Next time, I will take my time.

This is my 4th time at Fogo. The salad bar is notably different- a few less WOW items but still very good. Don't miss the Kale salad! I didn't want all the meat this time so substituted for Sea Bass. It was an outstanding dish, but served late. Everyone was 1/2 way through their meat tastings by the time I got mine. But it was good- so I would opt for that again. For a Sunday night- it was extremely busy- I think a nice way to end the summer the night before Labor Day!

I tend to eat here once a month because it is good. I went on a late Saturday evening. The food was good, but the chefs did not seem to make the rounds by my table. I only got the same selection of meats maybe 4 times. I figure they were roasting more meat in the kitchen. The house special did not make it by my table until I requested it. I will still go back this is just one time. The food is great and the little bread filled with cheese rocks.

There are plenty of meat options to choose from and all of the meat is well prepared. The service was good and they even noted that we were there for a birthday and offered a complementary dessert. It is a lot of food and a bit pricey so I would only go for special occasions. I have been to other Brazilian steakhouses which I prefered over this one. They are lacking in the salad bar and I wish they had cinnamon pineapple which I have had at others.

My husband and I went to Fogo for dinner. We spent $132.00 for two people, including tip. The salmon at the salad bar was delicious. The leg of lamb and filet mignon wrapped in bacon were also very good. We both agreed, however, that it was not worth the cost. There was no possible way to eat $50 worth of food in a sitting and the steak at Texas Road House was just as good at half the price. In addition it was very noisy, crowded, and took a long time to get coffee and the check. We won't be back.

From the moment we walked into the restaurant, we were treated exceptionally well. The service was outstanding. The waiters were very informative, respectful, helpful and friendly. As a rodizio style restaurant, you pay one price and the waiters will continue to bring you delicious grilled meats until you indicate that you need a breather. The ambience is quite nice but a little noisy. The wine list is superior. It is extensive both by the bottle and by the glass. All good choices. The salad bar is a little underwhelming given the high quality of everything else but since meat is the star here, you can't really complain. It is a wonderful place for a group. You can stay as long as you wish and everyone is having a good time. Nice

We love going to Brazilian steakhouses. Honestly I have not be disappointed in a single Brazilian steakhouse. There is not really anything like them because they are all so similar. I feel like the servers here were better with our children (ranging from 2 years old to 10 years old) than at the other two Brazilian steakhouses we have gone to. I have no complaints about any of the meats that I tried, though I did not try everything.

1st to arrive to dine alone with wheelchair reservation. Table wasn't ready. 2 of 4 hot bins empty. Red potatoes bin lukewarm. Meats A+. Service — too good. Chose to be served only 2 meats at a time. Asked for Medium Rare Prime. Waiter says, "Sorry, don't have it; only Medium; be right back." He dashes off. I daydream out the window until I hear a commotion behind me. For meat carvers have assembled, since I hadn't flipped the Stop-Card yet to red!

This was a great "experience" but I would probably not return. although the food was good, it wasn't great. And for the money, it was definitely not worth it. It was nice to sample many different foods and flavors, but this is a very overpriced restaurant. Would've been money better spent to go to Morton's or Flemings for a special occasion dinner. Drinks are incredibly overpriced as well.
