It felt a bit rushed despite it being a Monday night and the restaurant not being anywhere near full. We did not see anywhere near the 16 different types of meat offered at our table, probably only around 8, and some were a bit tough despite always asking for medium rare. I was never quite sure who our official waiter/waitress was either, but over all it was a great meal. The bartender was very knowledgeable about the drink menu and the flan dessert was also very good. I was place in in a small room off the main one. It was quiet and I thought the wait staff would forget me. The sever did initially but once they realized my presence, they took good care of me. The meats were well seasoned. I had the Tres leche cake after the recommendations of members of Open Table, it wasn't bad but I have had better. There were 3 of us and we all loved it. The service was excellent not to mention the food. We had the papaya cream for dessert and it was truly refreshing. Valet parking is $8 with ticket validation at Fogo de Chao. The nearest parking lot is about 150 feet away and you would pay more there. Seated immediately. The salad bar is great. Didn't care for the heart of palm. The meats were excellent although most in the party did not like the lamb. They thought it tasted too gamey. I didn't try it. Lamb is not popular in Texas anyway so it may have actually have been mutton I told them. The pork sirloin with parmesan crust got rave reviews. So did dthe filet mignons. Very good service. He would asked us several times if we needed anything but it seemed as if when we did, like water or soda refills or a plate we had to flag him down. Several times when asked if there was a specific cut of meat we wanted we would request it but never got it until the very end of our meal. When we asked for our check we were suprised with a piece of strawberry cheesecake that said "Happy Anniversary", very sweet of the staff.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWas surprised at how goodWas surprised at how good this Fogo was in San Antonio.
