  • "I'll keep this short and sweet. My experience at Fogo De Chao can be summed up as loosely controlled chaos. The noise level in the dining room was off the charts, the salad bar was well, a salad bar, and the masses of diners and "gauchos" constantly swarming around the table made for a very un-relaxing evening. I loved the filet and the signature Fogo steak but I honestly felt a little cheated as I am certain there is no way I ate enough food to justify the hefty price tag. I would say it is definitely an experience, but and experience I personally only care to have once."

Food was delightful and lots to enjoy with all you can eat. Celebrated our anniversary there and they complimented a dessert. Very nice!"

  • "They had our reservations and we had great service. Everyone is very helpful, the place is organized and plenty of salad bar and meats. Considering it is a buffet things can get out of hand. However, the staff did a wonderful job of maintaining order. This makes your lunch or dinning experience very pleasant."

  • "Been to several Fogo's across the country and typically enjoy them, but this one was terrible IMHO. The $14 drink was subpar, all the meat except for pork ribs was very bland and over cooked. The gauchos didn't go to all tables so you had to continuously ask for certain meats to rotate over. The salad bar items were good, but for the money I won't go back. I'd rather hit Capital Grille or Ruth's Chris for a quality steak that's seasoned and cooked to perfection for a few more bucks."

  • "Food was decent, lacks the consistency, taste that you will find other Brazilian places. There was one waiter who was awesome, compared to the other waiters that were ok. Slow at getting choices of meat at times which seems to be a reoccurring theme at Fogo since I've been to several of them in multiple East Coast, Midwest locations. Would I go again, probably not. For Chicago choices, there are a couple better ones."

  • "Comparing this to our experience at other Brazilian steakhouses we gave it 3 stars based on the food. Some of the meats we had were very chewy and tough but they had good seasoning. The salad bar was okay. This is definitely a chain restaurant so as long as you go in with that expectation you should enjoy yourself."

  • "I continually asked for rare meat and the gauchos served me meat that was cooked medium. Whether they couldn't see it in the dimly lit restaurant or it cooked more on the skewers on the way from the kitchen to the table it should not have been so difficult to get meat cooked rare. However I commented on this to the manager and she stepped up. I was very pleased with how the manager stepped up."

  • "The ambiance at this location is a little bit gloomy. The finishings (furniture, fixtures, walls, etc.) definitely are not as nice as their other locations. The food was good, however I expected better. I normally consider Fogo 1st out of the Brazilian steak houses then Texas de Brazil 2nd. My initial rsvp was at Texas' in Woodfield but then I decided to try out Fogo at Rosemont. I should've stuck with my first choice. We were seated right away and made it through our meal pretty quickly within about 45 mins. Then they got busy and definitely couldn't keep track of the various tables. Long story short... it took another 45 mins to get a cup of coffee and pay our bill. I got a bit annoying that we skipped dessert."

  • "The food was good and served at a decent pace. It was a very busy Friday night so thankfully I had used open table. Service was good for as busy as they were. Had to wait for wine and cocktails a couple of times as the bar was behind the pace. Open table says the prices are $30 and up. Kids are $25 and Adults are $50. Spouse and one child with drinks and dinner came to $200. Not a cheap date."

  • "I love this restaurant. The team service is impeccable because you never have to wait for "your" server. Anyone on staff will get you anything you need with a smile. My friend had a red wine & wanted another glass, but couldn't remember specifically what she ordered. Someone completely different from our original server found out behind the scenes which red she had & quickly brought a refill. The lunch is a great value, the Brazilian martini is divine, and from salad to the last morsel of meat you can manage, the food is delicious. Plus you get a nice little chocolate instead of a run of the mill mint on your way out. It's a nice perk since they probably know you won't have room for dessert!"

  • "In the two hours we were there dinning,we weren't able to figure out who our server was. One greeted us, a second took our wine selection order. No one came back to ask if we needed anything. A second glass of wine was never offered. We had to wait 15 minutes after finishing our dinner to have yet a third server asks us if we cared for dessert. The place was loud, not romantic and seem none of the servers even knew which tables were they serving on. By the end on our dinner, a busboy was the one bringing our check. Overall, I wouldn't reccomend Fogo de Chao. We've dine at other Brazillian Restaurants such as Texas de Brazil, Chama Guancha and Brazilian Express and all of these other restaurants surpass Fogo de Chao by far."

  • "I was expecting the same ambiance from the one in dowtown. Not so in this location. Space was tight and the clientele was different. If you want a nice, comfortable romantic experience, then go to the downtown location. If you want a rowdy, tight and children-crying atmosphere, then this is the place to go. Don't be surprised to see some people dressed in tights or pants hanging low in this restaurant, too."

  • "Fogo was an excellent choice. The salad bar is incredible, far from your average and could be a meal in itself. Several gauchos comes to your table when you flip your card to green and they stop on red. There were 16 different cuts of meat. I had the Chilean Seabass with a mango fruit topping and grilled asparagus. The caramel cheesecake was mouthwatering. You have several servers. Joe was very nice and Michele was really good. I couldn't help to notice how smart, attentive and conscience she was. The gaucho dropped a slice of meat and from across the room she came over and picked it up. We tried their signature cocktails and had a really good Malbec there. Mimi is a wonderful, efficient hard working host with sweet, bubbly personality. "

  • "While I do enjoy a different selection of different meats being brought to your table and allowing yourself to reap the benefits of such things - I was not exactly enjoying the meats. If you're a picky eater when it comes to having a certain meat [mostly steak] a certain way, or a certain temperature within said meat [medium rare, medium, well done, etc.] then I wouldn't quite recommend this establishment for your behalf. The atmosphere is nice, the service beyond great but the food... not so much. But that's my opinion."

No order to the salad bar and everyone was on top of each other. Not real pleased with sides brought to table which both times were generally cold. We were in a corner table and felt forgotten"
