  • "I made a reservation to celebrate a special anniversary. We were sat at a table between 2 huge families with poorly behaved children running around. I got the sense that they did not care in the least and made no effort to even acknowledge the event. The atmosphere was poor with lots of children picking things out of the salad bar with their hands. People were dressed in ball caps and sweats, not exactly what I was expecting with a $200 dinner for two. There are so many better steak houses in Houston at this price point. I don't think it would have been a descent value at half the price. This is unfortunate as I had been several times when they first opened several years and recall a much nicer atmosphere . I will not return"

Only had to wait 8 minutes to be seated on a Saturday night--that alone is AMAZING!! Great for celebrating special, lavish occasions. The energy level of clientele adds to the atmosphere."

  • "We were concerned that getting a 2pm reservation time for lunch on Valentine's Day would not give us the same treatment that we are used to receiving but our concerns were unfounded! We were provided with all of the wonderful choices of meats that we are used to receiving when we dine earlier in the evening. All of the cuts were delicious and cooked to perfection. There was one very disappointing aspect of our visit. When seated we were served a bottle of water and 2 glasses. We were not asked if we wanted bottled water and found a $6 charge on our bill for the water. $6 is not going to break us but this is a very disappointing practice."

  • "Food and service was wonderful but once again you have to wait for this wonderful feeling. Be prepare to wait a very long time to be seated even though you have a reservation. If I didn't care when I wanted to eat I would have never spent my energy and time making a reservations. Remember time is money and without customers your restaurant would not stay afloat. Regardless of the wait the food and service was wonderful."

  • "I was very disappointed that I had a reservation for 6:30pm my party arrived ON TIME however we were not seated until an hour later which I find to be ridiculous. The waiter barely came to our table and it took forever to get the check. I had to stand in line to get a drink at the bar forever as well. The place was overrated/overcrowded and ghetto."

  • "Not for romance,special occasions,and patrons not attentive.Not treated significant for the price you pay to dine at $51.00 a person min.We first walked in to claim our reservation the hostess(head down no eye contact)slammed this light up thing down and said I will buzz you when your reservation is ready?We found our way back towards the door we noticed a bar which we set for 20 min@$10 a drink.We were lead to a table not like I requested for this occasion we were in the center of the restaurant in steady traffic and high noise!You are rushed to eat even if you don't have card on green they still bombard you ever 2 mins with meat.No time to enjoy the food, company,the feel is rush rush rush to get you in out, you don't eat what you pay for"

  • "Went to Fogo de Chao for our son's birthday (have been several times before). Food was very good, as usual. Our main server was very indifferent. Only paid minimal attention to our table. Guys serving the meat were very attentive. Hard not to eat too much too fast.Our advice is to take your time, and don't load up on the salad bar, which is excellent, but can fill you up before you get to the meat."

  • "I have been here a couple of times before but always on week nights. The service is vastly better on weeknights when they have far fewer patrons than on weekends. Maybe this was an exceptionally crowded weekend because of the Valentine's day special, but I think I'm going to stick to week nights from now on at Fogo. The food as always was exceptional."

  • "We dined for Valentines dinner. This was only my second time here. Fairly disappointed. It seems they packed as many people in as possible. Not great when you're sitting super close to the strangers next to you. Our service wasn't anything special either. Nothing was explained and after I didn't immediately know my drink order, it took a while for him to come back to get my order. Probably won't go back."

They didn't even jack-up the price on Valentines Day as most high end restaurants do and offered a gift card for a complimentary meal, with the purchase of a meal, on our next visit. The only disappointment was the grilled pineapple being moved to the desert only menu."

We love this place and everyone we take here loves it! The Filet Mignon was perfect, could cut it with a fork! Everything is has great flavor. Salad bar is awesome... I could make a meal on it."

  • "I like the fact that I can just request my favorite cut of meat - lamb chops - all I can eat lamb chops - that's how I see it. The salad bar is fabulous on its own. What makes this a great place to dine is the variety of fresh pasta salads, vegetables, cheese, fruits and the crispy crunchy bacon. Service is great. The gentlemen who serve the meat are courteous and hospitable. They will get you the right done-ness of meat you want - rare, well done, medium - whatever your fancy."

The restaurant was freezing inside, just like we are used to in the summer, but somehow it was intolerable coming in from the cold day outside. I noticed that most people in the restaurant never took off their outdoor coats and jackets to eat. I should have said something to the waiter, but I hate to be a complainer about temperatures, as most of us have such different internal thermostats."

  • "If you not only like your meat but enjoy salad then this is the place for you. On arrival quickly seated and welcomed to the restaurant by our waiter. First up was choosing the wine from the most comprehensive list I've seen outside of Europe. We chose Native and went for a Californian Cabernet Sauvingnon and was not disappointed. Next up was a trip to the salad bar which had an amazing selection and a feast in itself, the Waldorf salad deserves a special mention as the finest I have ever tasted. Next came the meat which is in plentiful supply and cooked to perfection. The Filet Mignon was as soft as butter and the selection of other joints varied. We took our time and really enjoyed the occasion and can highly recommend it."

  • "We were happy to get a last minute reservation, and glad we chose Fogo de Chao. The salad buffet choices were good although there were a few regular items missing, but everything available was good. The staff was very professional and eager to make sure we had everything we needed or wanted. The meats surprisingly were available in a variety of options (well to rare). This is great for guests who are more accustomed to well done meats, and the first time I've seen this at a Brazillian steakhouse. Usually I see only cuts available from medium to rare. THE LAMB CHOPS AND LEG OF LAMB WERE SPECTACULAR! We would go back just for that. Highly recommend."
