Food was just not that great for $60 a person. I expected to be wowed by the taste and the texture but was not at all. My husband can grill just as well if not better. There were only a few meats that were original in cooking and/or spicing and something we could not make at home. The salad bar was also just average. Nothing there I couldn't get anywhere else or at home - for a lot less. Disappointing.

My wife and I came here for our 1st year anniversary because it is an iconic restaurant here in Los Angeles (they gave us a free cheesecake desert!). The drinks were good, and the salad bar was substantial, but the meat was outstanding. We both loved all the different types of meat, and the lamb was our favorite. They try to fill you up with side dishes. This is a one time deal for us though. We have been to a few other Brazilian steakhouses in Los Angeles, and they all have comparable offerings at a fraction of the price! Pros: Great food, quality meat and cuts of steak, chicken, and pork. The lamb is excellent! Cons: Side dishes are lackluster and boring (mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box!) Very pricey for the value.

  • Not the best Fogo I've been to

Had a reservation this past Saturday night at 8pm with my wife and brother-in-law. We arrived at around 7:50, but weren't seated until 8:07. I've been to Fogo in several other cities previously, but this was my first visit to the Beverly Hills location. I'm not sure if I'm confusing this Fogo with some of my visits to other restaurants of this style (Texas de Brazil, etc..), but while the selection of meats was as I've come to expect, the salad bar seemed to be extremely basic, with few offerings. Now I know people don't typically visit these restaurants for the salad bar, and that I should expect to pay a premium for dining in Beverly Hills, but at $62 per person I was definitely expecting a much nicer salad bar, with a better variety

We had been here once several years ago and liked it, though it was not the kind of place you go to very often. Also, it was a bit on the expensive side ($61.50 per person + drinks, other beverages and dessert + tax and tip). Our current experience was the same. If you are a football linebacker it can be a bargain, but for us normal folks, eating all that food that keeps coming is too much. The next day I ate practically nothing until a light supper about 7 pm. I know that I have some control by keeping the red side of the marker up, but I wanted a little of each meat (16 kinds?) and so I put the green side up often. By the way, included is a very nice salad and appetizer bar.

My boyfriend and I arrived at 7:20pm for our 7:30pm reservation. We were told it would take 20-25 minutes to be seated. Sure, no problem. They gave us a beeper. After 30 minutes, I started to notice that people who had arrived after us, were being seated. I talked to the hostess and found that my name was not on the list. They seated us soon afterwards, but my boyfriend was extremely upset because they did nothing to make up for their error. The tables were crammed together, such that it took some effort to maneuver around the tables. The cheesy bread, polenta, and fried bananas took 10-15 minutes to arrive at our table. About half of the meat (chicken and beef) offered was over cooked. Overall, I was extremely disappointed.

Fogo is usually an awesome dining experience - great food and fun. This past Sat they packed the place. Brought in additional tables. They actually allowed the guests to have their heads bummed repeatedly by other patrons trying to squeeze between tables and the wait staff repeatedly bumming into guests. We got terrible service, but it wasn't the servers fault, it was management's for directing additional tables be jammed into the space. What a way to ruin a reputation for a short term profit gain. Just terrible!

Dine LA patrons used to get the full menu; that is no longer the case. We waited through the long lines and after we were seated, we found that many cuts weren't available with the Dine LA menu. They should have said something when we first arrived. Wouldn't have waited that long. Would have simply come another night.

I've been coming for many years and enjoyed the food immensely. This is the 2nd time in a row that I've been highly disappointed. The waiter was rude and would not even respond to our thanks. He served us lukewarm water when we specifically asked for ice. We never received the lemon slices and could even remind him since he NEVER returned to the table to check on us. All this attitude after we were seated an hour after our reservations. We requested a table by the salad bar but instead got the furthest table from the salad bar in the main dining area. After waiting an hour for the table we had to wait another 15 minutes for the cuts to arrive because the guys would run out before even getting to our table. Don't go during DineLA.

Ive been a patron of Fogo de Chao for years. The food is always delicious and the staff is always helpful and friendly. My only negative comment would be the tables and the space in between them. My friends and I saw Fogo De Chao on Dine LA list and we got really excited because we like to eat here regularly. While we were dining, the guys came by with the steaks (as usual). When the filet guy came, we all asked for a slice. To our DISAPPOINTMENT, he said to us "Filet is only for the REGULAR MENU. Not the Dine LA menu." We also asked for the beef ribs (which is our favorite) and the waiter said the exact same thing. Also, we asked for our check and waited about 30min because the waiter messed up on our check. It's sad because my friends and I were a big fan of this restaurant before this Dine LA experience and now, I don't know if I will ever go back.

It was my first time trying this place and although we had a reservation at 9, we were not seated until around 9:45PM. When we were seated, the waiter was very nice about discussing the menu and the whole experience. When the food came, most of it was absolutely delicious. The ribs however, were dry and somewhat burnt. At least now, the next time I go eat there, I know not to eat too much salad.

I've been coming to Fogo for DineLA for years now...in my opinion, it's the best deal out there. This last time, however, I was surprised and disappointed to learn that there was a "special" menu for people choosing the dineLA option. In the past, dineLA gave you access to the full menu at basically $30 off the full price. Now, the menu they serve to dineLA guests is basically scrap meat, making it completely not worth the deal. When I inquired as to why they made the change, they told me that it just wasn't possible to continue providing such a great deal. I find it hard to believe that giving $30 off to customers for 2 weeks a year is really going to put them under. Either way, they've lost a customer in me.

It used to be that when you went to Fogo during DineLA you would get the whole shebang for the special price of $45, including dessert. Then the dessert was dropped. And now, the premium cuts are no longer available (don't worry you can still get Picanha!). The regular price menu is still available (which is a mere $12 more) with the whole parade of meats which adds on the lamb chops, top sirloin, and costela (the "almost secret-ask a gaucho" beef shortrib which is my fave). But with meat prices what they are these days, I can't say that I really hold it against them. As always very delicious and very filling.

Reservation for 8:30pm on a Tuesday night. Arrived at 8:25pm to a line that snaked out the door and into the parking lot. Surely this line must be for the fools who didn't think to make a reservation... but upon asking a few of them and even the hostess, discovered the line was in fact for parties WITH reservations. 10 minutes later, after we finally got to the front of the line, the hostess told us it'd be another 25-30 minutes before we'd be seated. Why take reservations if you can't seat your guests at their specified reservation time? To make matters worse, during the first 20 minutes after we were seated, only 3 servers came by our table. This pattern continued for the duration of our time there. Good food but horrible service.

I usually LOVE coming to this place to eat, but unfortunately, because of Dine in LA, service was HORRIBLE!!!! My girlfriend's and I had our cards on green ALL night and only had just about 4-5 slices of meat. I had even called our waiter to ask him if we can get some meat on our plates and still, NOTHING happened. I was greatly disappointed with the service and for it being the first time for my girlfriend's, they were not very happy with this place at all. Even after saying, "Excuse me," not one server would turn around and offer us meat. We were being ignored the ENTIRE night! Tables literally next to us were being served and our table was constantly missed! HORRIBLE!

The servers took forever serving us meat. We had to ask the employees to send them over. Our waiter wasnt very nice and practically threw the check on the table with a brief "thank you." We took advantage of dinela at several restaurants and this was by far the worst meal we had. The tables around us with full plates kept getting served several times while we sat with one order of dry chicken. For the reputation this place has and the price we paid it wasn't worth going.

To be honest M Grill's food was better quality and this place was pretty good but I'd still go to M Grill over this place. However being the first Hot Spot for a Brazilian Steakhouse, I give it credit and say try this place first. But you be the judge!

DineIn La is suppose to be a time where restaurant lower their price to attract customers. Fogo changed their dineIn la menu to only serve you 10 of their menu selection and for an up charge they will provide you the rest of the menu which are the best meats on the menu. I was forced to pay the extra $20 to get what I actually came there for. While waiting for our menus only the best from the top 10 kept going around. I felt cheated and extremely disappointed.

We received very poor service this evening when normally when we dine there, we usually get excellent service. Of the notable problems was that it took our waiter several trips and over 30 minutes to get an order of Guarana for one of our guests. It wasn't exactly a difficult task and despite several reminders, we had to complain to the management and the only thing they could say to us was that "oh, we're just really busy because of DineLA event." That really shouldn't affect your service performance just because you have a full house.

Although the food was good, there was no direction in what to do or how to obtain the food. There is a process to this resteraunt so make sure to brush up in the procedure before attending. We received no direction and had to ask our neighboring table what to do. Once the procedure was explained, my husband had to ask three different servers before we received the requested portion of the menu. It was very loud and very crowded... Would not recommend for a date night.

My group of 5 dined here during DineLa. I knew to have lower expectations; there's only so much a restaurant can do to accomodate the influx of hundreds of additional diners. We waited ~20 minutes after our reservation time to get a table. Tables were very cramped together. Our next-table neighbors commented that they'll never come here again during DineLA. The salad bar was very good and restocked frequently. The waiters came by with sticks of meat at a reasonable frequency. Quality of meat may be lower than during regular times though. The hostesses were very gracious; making sure everything was fine. They even helped recommend nearby dessert places. We waited ~30 minutes for our check and to pay.

Went there during 2014 LA Restaurant Week. High hopes and expectations!!! We were told the menue would be regular but that wasn't the case. They had a selected menu for Dine LA diners of which my party and I couldn't eat. We spoke with the server and. No luck! We spoke with who seemed to be a manager and they assured us that was okay we would be able to eat the other meats but the servers kept avoiding us. We sat for 30+ minutes at one point with no service - no meat and our server no where to be seen. Very disappointed especially when planning and taking out our newly wed friends!
