  • "Always enjoy the immense and diverse salad bar. This trip we did not opt for meat, but we're very satiated with items at the bar, plus the amazing and never ending cheese puffs, fried polenta, and sautéed bananas. Service was attentive, and we love the ambience of the bustling waiters and servers! Will definitely be back!"

  • "The wait staff and the food were both excellent. At first, it was a bit overwhelming as every 90 seconds it seemed someone was approaching our table refilling our wine or water glass even though we had only taken sips. Also, we were asked a dozen times (at least) if we wanted a "fresh" plate. Other than that, the service was superb. We had a slight issue with those tiny flying "Nats" landing in our wine glass or flying around us while we ate but it's summer and its Austin so I'm not sure how the restaurant would have gotten rid of the problem (they did offer to relocate us to another table)."

  • "We parked our car at Lakeline station and took the train downtown. Since we live north of Austin, it was a fun time not having to drive to downtown Austin and find a parking place. The train stops 2 blocks from the restaurant. We were able to get off the train, walk to the restaurant, eat dinner, get back on the train and head home. The restaurant was great. The salad bar had a great selection The meat just kept coming. The wait staff was very friendly and numerous people came by the table to check on us."

  • "I took my fiancé here for her birthday and the service was fantastic! The server was very knowledgeable on wine and what would be best to pair with what dish. The flaun for a dessert was the best I've ever had. Also, the salad bar was very great. Be careful not to fill up on salad before all the meat comes!"

  • "My son (20 yo) wanted to go to Fogo de Chao. Great choice. Good meats and the red snapper for my wife was very good. Excellent salad bar. Staff very attentive. Relatively quiet on a Monday night, suspect can get quite loud on a busy night."

  • "The food is always good here. Service is fantastic and the management always ensures you have everything you could want."

  • "This is a "must go" for anyone who visits Austin. It is the ultimate all you can eat restaurant. My only regret is that I didn't go more hungry. We can't wait to go again!!! The service was also great!!"

  • "The food and service were outstanding! The noise level was too loud. It was hard to have a conversation with the people at my table without talking really loud to each other."

  • "I guess I was spoiled by their competitor up north... parking is difficult and expensive downtown, and I thought I would receive a free birthday dessert but I didn't. Overall very tasty though."

  • "We go to this particular Fogo 2-3 times/ yr for family birthdays. Food this visit much better than the last time. Went early and some staff seemed new and not as attentive as usual bit the head waiter made up for the deficiencies. Expanded dessert menu was Plus. Will deg be back for more."

  • "Being that it was the kick off of week 2 of restaurant week here in Austin, I had gathered a group of 8 friends to attend dinner. The food was delicious and never ending meat being carved from a metal skewer right on your plate couldn't have been any better. I cannot wait to return and dine again!"

  • "Food is great and it was very busy. Unfortunately, the service isn't as good as it used to be. I have to wave someone down more than 3 or 4 times to get drink, food and checks.. which never happened in the past. "

  • "This was a lot of fun, about $50 a person without drinks, I went on a first date there, I saw prom kids there, lots of family gatherings. Tasty, I loved the salad bar personally. Good location so you can go downtown afterwards for drinks or to cathch a show."

  • "We took the family to Fogo to celebrate our son's graduation from University of Texas. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The salad bar is a great meal on its own. Add in all the super cuts of meat and the fantastic service. We had a very good time. Only complaint is with the slow service at the valet parking outside. "

  • "We went to fogo de chão after a long day of moving and it hit the spot. The service and food were great-- and it's all you can eat so bring your appetite! Basically a meat lovers fantasy. Will definitely return!"

  • "....until I get to the salad bar then I want to eat all the perfectly presented items! Then when you start the meat train they bring you the sides. We never touch the mashed potatoes, I kinda wish they offered another starch in its place. "

  • "My wife is from Brasil (yes, with an "s" not a "z":look it up.) and we have eaten at several Fogo de Chaos in Brasil. Huge difference! This one tries but sadly falls short. The ones in Brasil are exceptional. More variety of meats, a salad bar to die for, incredible brasilian desserts, and the service is 5 star rated. In Brasil, I can bring 6 people for what I paid for 2. So, it's not horrible or outstanding. If you are in Dallas, go to Rafain's, you will be impressed. More variety of meats, great flavor, desserts included and "slightly" lower price vs. Fogo. Will not return here. We will continue to patron Sao Paulo's by U.T because of their feijoada. Great food and reasonable $ for my wife's liking. "

  • "I love eating at Brazilian Steak Houses when I visit cities. I've always had great experiences. But this particular night, families with kids (I'm talking toddlers and infants) showed up to ruin a delicious dinner with crying, screaming, running around the restaurant and throwing fits of temper. The parents made no attempt to control their children and the servers just worked around them. Too much money spent on a lousy evening. Management needs to address this issue in some way. Build a quiet room to stick families in. Tell them to go to McDonald's."

  • "Fogo de Chao was our first choice for our Easter Brunch. At the time of our reservation, the restaurant had a decent crowd but we didnt feel e smothered by everyone. We have been to some restaurants during other holidays and it appeared they packed as many tables (and people) in as they could. The food preparation and customer service was top notch. The house special sirloin was our favorite and the options on the salad bar were tempting but be careful......you'll want to save some room for the entree's!"

  • "If your feeling fat, You do not have to order the whole meat deal, just order the salad bar which is Hands down the best in Austin. Healthy, fresh, super high quality. Worth every penny. "

  • "The staff seemed overwhelmed on the night we were there. It took forever to get our table, and the host never checked on with us. I had called the restaurant earlier to ask if we could push the reservation back fifteen minutes and I was told No. Well considering they didn't seat us until almost seven thirty... I'm puzzled by the denial of my request. The place was so packed that you were like cattle going around the salad bar. Our primary waiter was great, but I can't recall his name This was our second, and probably last time. The price tag is just too hefty. I can't eat $60 worth of meat, I'm not sure anyone I know can. Considering the loudness and lack of intimacy I can't see how spending that much is justified."

  • "Great restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, which we did. The food is great, the service excellent, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The wait staff was a very doting crew and worked as a team so you didn't have to wait for one server to help you. It's a bit pricey but well worth it."

  • "We tasted most of the meats on the menu. A large variety were very chewy and contained some gristle. We have enjoyed Fogo many times before . This experience was good but not at the level we have enjoyed in Houston and Dallas."

  • "Our son wanted to celebrate his 21st birthday by having us take him here. None of us had been to a Fogo de Chao before. We had a wonderful experience. The staff was fantastically friendly and helpful. The salad bar was fresh and delicious and healthy. The meats were superb. Very impressed."

  • "All the meats were very enjoyable. The service left something to be desired. Did not see my head waiter after an initial visit. Had to flag down a waiter to ask for the check."

  • "Some of the reviews said that the service and the salad bar werent that great but I disagree. I was a little hesitant because of the price but thought the whole experience was great! My friend had a salad only and thought that was really expensive. This place was a lot nicer than I expected. We will be back!"

  • "We went here to celebrate my 40th birthday, and I can't imagine a better choice. The salad bar alone could've been a full meal, but we saved plenty of room for the meet storm which followed. Nicely done Fogo de Chao. The waitstaff was super friendly, and the drinks from the bar were fantastic. Not sure how to spell it, but the Caipirinha (The national drink of Brazil) is fantastic"

  • "If you are looking for a different type of dining experience, you'll find it here! Begin with the salad bar, which is laden with wonderfully fresh, beautifully presented choices that range from your basic salad offerings to smoked salmon and a variety of hot appetizers. Then, flip over that thing that looks like a coaster at your place from red to green, and let the procession of meats begin! Steaks, lamb, chicken, sausage...you choose whatever you like, as much as you like, as your servers come by with hunks of meat on skewers that they will slice to your liking (rare? well done?) while you grab with your tongs and pull the tasty morsel onto your plate. When you're ready for a break, simply turn your coaster back to red (stop!). Loved it!"
