Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - AustinAwesome service staff, average foodWe are "frequent fliers" with the Brazilian Steakhouses... This trip to Fogo de Chao wasn't our most remarkable experience. We had reservations for 5 (2 toddlers included) as a Mother's Day treat. Our reservation was at 4:30. We arrived and were pleasantly surprised to find a half empty restaurant! The hostess seated us immediately and we began with their usually robust salad bar!! It was okay... As we transitioned to the meats, we noticed that several were over-cooked and/or under seasoned!! The service staff was overly attentive the entire time and ensured that every request was met. In the end, we go for the meats which are supposed to be the "stars" of the experience... I've been to Dallas Texas De Brazil and I must agree with the other reviews, there's not much difference in the meat from the two. Though, I liked Fogo's house meat better. I must say, Texas De Brazil wins on salad bar, but just barely. I REALLY liked their fried bananas (as a side they give you) more than anything else. The salad bar was great and the all you can eat meat was just dreamy. My mouth is watering just thinking about all the foods we ate!
