  • "My friend and I had lunch on a Tuesday. The place was clean and quiet. My bean and escarole soup was okay, I wouldn't call it great, and the salad I had was fine. I liked the dressing although the salmon was dry. The service was very good. I would go there again."

  • "Eggplant appetizer with fresh, well seasoned tomato sauce, was delicious as was the sausage and broccoli rabe. Seafood stew with assorted shellfish, calamari and crabmeat had a light and savory broth. Both home made pastas, lobster ravioli and fettuccini bolognese were outstanding. We were able to bring our favorite cabernet, as FR is a BYOB, and that is always a plus. The service was attentive and accommodating for each request. I recommend trying this little gem for a different dining experience."

  • "I can't say enough about this place. I love it. The specials are always amazing and the staff is so attentive! Its a BYOB which is great. I love the Linguine with white clam sauce. When the weather turns nice, they have outdoor dining which is really nice. Enjoy!"

  • "Great standard menu, had a problem choosing main course, no settling, everything good. Specials and extra specials made it very difficult to choose. The appertizers were the same way and so were the deserts. No losers. Moderate pricing and on a Tuesday night the cliental was mixed, Business people couples and families with younger children. BYO makes it also affordable. Service was great and not intrusive. Yes I recommend it. For GPS use Bernands or Baskin Ridge. Liberty Corners does not exist."

  • "Great food with both the regular menu items and the daily specials offering a wide selection of creative offerings. Everything is fresh and beautifully presented with generous portions. The ambiance is wonderful whether you are there for a romantic, private meal or a "catch-up" meeting with friends. Everyone from the knowledgeable wait staff to the owners are attentive and friendly, making sure that your dining experience is a positive one. I highly recommend Focacceria!"

  • "We were friends who had not seen each other for years. We took an early reservation and had a lovely, long, delicious meal from salad to dessert on a Friday night. We were cared for attentively, but not obtrusively. The place was almost full as we left -- the couple in the entry way probably got the table we vacated. It had been some time since I had been here, but it was as good as that first time - a birthday club celebration. Reasonable choices, still a little too upscale for my regulars list, but certainly hope it succeeds so there for the special times."

  • "Great night from start to finish. We made reservations (recommended as space is tight). Very rarely do I open a menu and have a hard time narrowing my choices for dinner. This is one of those places. I could have chosen any of the appetizers and entrees listed and been excited. Settled on the old stand-by comfort food for appies (meatballs and the sausage). Both were great. Waiter said the lamb chop was this thick (holding his fingers about 2" apart, it was. Very tasty! Pasta was fresh, hot, ready to devour. Homemade pesto was excellent and loaded with garlic. We will be back and I already know what I will order!"

This is a family owned restaurant and the brother owners are always present on the floor and attentive to their patrons. Don't forget to BYOB of wine. Outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Highly recommended!"

  • "Have eaten outside here just once with my monthly-dining friends. This March we ate indoors. We loved the room's simplicity. The grey walls with white tablecloths was so calming. Our room had several tables filled, yet we couldn't hear any conversations. The charm of this old house (pleased to say that it's accessible through the back on the way from the parking lot) was a lovely surprise. Service was excellent and the waiter very attentive. My eggplant lasagna was delicious as was the five cheese ravioli that I ate over a year ago and still remember. The two desserts we shared were excellent. We love that this restaurant is BYO. It's my new favorite restaurant and can't wait to return with my friends and family. I'm lucky it's so close."

Had 6:30 reservation but didn't get seated until 7:15, and nowhere to wait but in the cold- but it was Valentine's Day and a popular place like this was bound to be packed! No rush through dinner, even though there were many people waiting for tables after we left. Tight space, but friendly staff and owner on hand (always a nice thing when he comes to make sure everything good). BYO handled well, even when there were different wines brought for various courses. Seems many locals go there and love it. Was pleasantly surprised to see entire menu offered, not special limited fixed price package! Food was delicious! Had never heard of the place before- found it on Open Table- but will definitely return!"

  • "The restaurant was filled on Valentine's Day for both seatings with many regulars and some newcomers. That in and of itself says a lot! The staff was on top of their game to make it a perfect night. The food as always was fabulous. We have celebrated Valentine's Day here for a number of years (along with many other holidays and special events). Wouldn't even consider any place else. Is it too early to make next year's reservation????"

  • "We had a reservation and were seated quickly (reservations appear to be a must). Our 1st time here, we found the atmosphere to be pleasant and inviting and not too formal. The noise level upstairs was a bit loud but we still managed to converse all night. The 1st floor seemed quieter if that is important to you. The service was attentive without being overbearing, water glasses never made it to empty, which I can rarely say in most of my dining experiences. Nice variety to choose from on the menu and the food was excellent. For chocolate lovers like myself, you'll definitely want to try the molten chocolate cake for dessert!"

They served bruschetta which was fresh and marvelous and the waiter was fabulous, they were great about keeping wine and water glasses filled and food was served perfectly.   • "We love this restaurant! The food is always delicious and the staff always friendly and attentive. The zucchini and calamari fritte appetizer is one of our favorite items. My veal Milanese was wonderful and enough to take home for lunch the next day. While my husband's skirt steak was a little "chewy", it tasted so good he didn't mind. This dinner was on New Year's Eve, and we will definitely be dining at Focacceria many more times during 2014."

There is always great variety and the specials are creative and delicious. This is a BYO restaurant that is great for anytime, any day. The owner, Nick is always gracious and accommodating. If you don't see it on the menu and they can make it, they will. Two thumbs way, way up!!!! A real neighborhood gem. If it's on the menu, the poached pear filled with cannoli cream is to die for......"

Food was excellent and their is an obvious mandate om courteous and professional service. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left I felt welcome. I was there for a late dinner and continued at my table well beyond closing without feeling rushed. I will be back!"

  • "I've been there 3 times now. Each time was GREAT! First as a couple, then as a group of 44 people (for a business event during the week), then for a birthday celebration with 9 people. Each and every time the food was great, the service was fantastic, and a fun time was had by all. I consider myself a foodie, so when I say the food was great I mean it. The staff and management team could not be nicer or more attentive. The owner is on-site. It's BYOB so that saves on the cost. It's in this old house so the atmosphere is so cozy, but yet updated with fresh decor. Be sure to make a reservation because the word is out on this wonderful place!!!!"

  • "As always, Focacceria is reliable and consistent. Nick and his team deliver a world class dining experience. Service is top notch and never misses a beat. Atmosphere and ambience is just right. Not too quiet and not too loud. Food is outstanding. I've been there about 10 times this year and I have yet to have an average meal. Always the best. Please do not miss the Tuscan Stew and the sweet and spicy calamari appetizer. The two best dishes on the menu. This time I had the Chicken Paillard (I never eat chicken in a restaurant). The flavor was sooooo good. Keep up the good work."
