Fluke Wine Bar and KitchenLoved!My husband and I had an incredible evening of dinner and drinks at Fluke! We sat at the bar and glad we did - tasty cocktail recommendations by excellent bartenders. Our meals were fantastic - perfectly sized portions and possibly some of the most well-prepared scallops I've ever had, actually. The view from the bar is stunning and I had heard the food was fantastic so I brought my parents here while they were visiting for the weekend. We all enjoyed the view, the food, and the service. The portions were the perfect size and the ingredients in the dishes compliment each other very well. We all left feeling full and happy but not overly stuffed. Kudos! I started with the lightly fried oysters ... I forgot for that night that I am not generally a fan of oysters. They were outstanding. My husband started with the equally fantastic calamari. Both of us applauded the local fish we had for entrees. For dessert, we had the butterscotch bread pudding and dessert wines. Together with the lovely view of the sea at sunset, we could not have been happier. Thanks to our server for her spot-on recommendations. Management could not have been more accommodating - called restaurant where we were supposed to be and switched our reservations for us. The staff was rushing everyone out as they appeared to have overbooked for restaurant week, but we managed to linger without too many annoying intrusions. Overall the food was very good. It is not one of the wharf's tourist traps or traditional seafood-only establishments. They had an inventive, extensive cocktail list, a delicious selection of small plates (the crispy oysters stood out) and an exceptional seafood linguine. The Key Lime tart was top notch, but I would advise against the sesame cannoli -- unless you don't mind whipped cream in place of traditional cannoli cream.
