"I asked in advance for a table with as few steps as possible. No one replied to tell me that the dining room is up two or three very steep sets of stairs. The maitre d' came down to the door to offer his arm, which while gentlemanly, didn't help me much as I have two replaced knees and trouble. It would have been much more useful if they had told me up front about the long staircase....What's the point of asking for special needs if they are going to be ignored?"

"We were visiting from out of town during Restaurant Week and were so glad we made reservations at Fluke. Everything was wonderful and exceeded expectations. Had the most delicious dessert I have ever sampled in my entire life--lemon creme brulee--divine!"

"This is the third time I have been to Fluke and I can't wait to go back again! The food is beyond incredible. Every mouth full just blows you away.... Depending on where you sit the scenery is fabulous. The restaurant is beautiful inside and the servers are extremely talented. don't miss out on this fabulous restaurant!!!!!"

"I love salt. My entree had so much I couldn't eat it. I had to order something else & wait 20 mins. My date was done eating when I finally got mine.
The breadpudding I had for dessert was dry & tasteless."

"We lucked out as it was Newport's Spring Restaurant week. But unlike other restaurants with a more "set menu", Fluke offered 4 different options in each category in which to choose from (apps, entree, dessert). The 6 different items my husband and I had were all delicious. And as one can assume with a name like Fluke Wine Bar and Kitchen, the wine selection was great. We will definitely make our way back to Fluke during our next trip to Newport."

"First time at this restaurant. The chef obviously cares that each plate is meticulously made and presented. I am a serious cook so going out to a place where I can learn about new dishes is a treat. This restaurant has a "warm" atmosphere, with friendly, attentive staff. Recommend it highly."

"Fluke presented an enticing Restaurant Week menu, with a unique twist over the normal Newport fare. Service was prompt enough and presentation was good, but not very welcoming or enthusiastic aside from the warm and inviting hostess. The quality of the food was high, presentation was about par and dessert was great and seemed to be made right on premises. (I had a fried duck wonton for first course, roasted chicken over mashed for the second and then a raisin bread budding for dessert). The location is nice, and this would serve for a really nice quiet place to have a quick meal before drinks. Otherwise, there are superior food locations in the Newport area."

"great food,I beleive it was the two owners that were out front in the dinning room.1st we wanted to order an app because we were starving and we were told.....sorry cant put in an order till you are ready to place your entire order....we skipped appetizers on purpose after that one....."steam was coming out of my ears".Then the male owner came over before we even ordered [ne of the four of us was still not there 20 munites past our reservation time of 5:15]and said we needed to hurry up because he needs the table for the next party.
