Diner Reviews
  • "Service was sporadic. We waited over 30 minutes for food after ordering. I had to ask tio get it. When the food was served, it looked that it had been setting waiting to be served."

  • "I took a very special lady to Flint to celebrate her birthday. I ordered flowers to be on the table and had a reserved table. Flint had the table reserved as requested, the flowers arrived and the staff from Flint placed them on the table just prior to arrival. It was a perfect setting. Our waitress Manny made Entree suggestions that were over the top !!! We both chose the Entree suggestions of the spice rubbed BBQ chicken I had was so perfectly prepared and the flavor and the meet was Perfect in every detail. She ordered the Vegetarian chicken Entree and she loved it as well. The staff was very attentive and so very friendly and kind. They know there food and we felt like we were the only couple there. The deserts were outstanding."

  • "We really enjoyed the appetizer, the layered potato crisps. The entrees, the filet and salmon were really good too. However, the desert, the chocolate decadence, was dry. Also, the seating, the tables in the middle aisle, feel awkward."

  • "My mother-in-law and I dined at Flint before catching a production at the Civic Center. The food was awesome. I had the trout and it was my idea of a perfect meal. Beautifully cooked fish and veggies, no carbs! Our server was Allison and she won over my mother-in-law, which is something of a feat, giving us special attention and service. We'll be back!"

  • "Amazingly bad service for such a nice place with good food. Inattentive servers - inconsistent meal delivery. Unapologetic for errors - just unacceptable"

  • "All in all i gave this a 3 star because for one, when we asked the waitress to tell us how an appetizer tasted, or to help us pick an entree, she either had not tried it before, or couldn't really tell us much about the menu. Most high quality restaurants such as this should be making sure their waiters know the menu and can describe the food to better serve their customers in my opinion. The food was good not excellent. We had the layered potato crisps, which were pretty much fancied up potato skins. For an entree we had the mixed grill. They were out of chicken sausage though so we only were able to try the lamb and veal. The lamb was good, veal was dry. It also came with steak fries, nothing mind blowing there."

  • "Nice selection and presentation, friendly service. Valet parking is a plus."

  • "The first time we went to Flint the food was perfect! This time we went to Flint, our fries were soggy and cold but the chicken was good. Also upon arrival, a hostess snickered and made a remark to my girlfriend about the way she talked. Not cool or appropriate... And then when we told the waitress about the fries she said a half hearted sorry and walked off. So not very impressed with the service this time around, but would go again."

  • "Food was tasty and, most importantly, served hot! However, we had to ask for butter and jam for toast (butter finally made it but the jam never did, and the service was not very available and took a while to get requested items when we they were. Bottom line: a good breakfast was had by all!"

  • "I had been to Flint a couple of times for dinner or bar food and thought it was just ok. My wife and I had a surprisingly tasty lunch accompanied by attentive service. I would go back."

  • "I have been to Flint serveral times and really want to make it one of my favorite spots. This time was better than previous ones. Service was good and so was the food. They were slow getting our food out and we were on our way to the game, so that was a little frustrating. I will definitely allow for more time next time. The special was a chicken cordon bleu sandwich and was very good. I had a salad and that was good also. Overall, it was a good experience. Still working toward making this my go-to place. Their service has definitely improved since they opened."

  • "We arrived, gave our car to the valet, and walked inside.. Our table was near a window, which was nice, as we could see lots of people scurrying to and from the Cox convention center (NCAA wrestling). I had a small spinach salad. Fresh leafs, lots of nuts and dried cranberries, and a dressing which didn't clash with the sweetness of the cranberries. My wife had a caprese salad, and loved it. My wife's entree was roast pork tenderloin covered with a reduced cherry sauce (or at least, it tasted like cherry). The veggies were broccoli and a sweet potato puree which was super smooth and very tasty. I elected to have linguini with mixed vegetables incorporated. Too much, too rich. I would not order the dish again."

  • "THe restaurant at the Colcord consistently dishes out amazing cuisine, the service is very friendly, the pampering extends to the sexy patio and the hopping bar is fun, where drinks and casual food are at your fingertips. Class Act."

  • "Flint is a lovely place for a downtown lunch meeting. I had the soup and salad combo and both were delicious!"

  • "One of the best filets I have ever eaten. Better than steaks I have paid 3x as much for elsewhere. The mac and cheese was heavenly and, even though I try to avoid vegetables whenever possible and have NEVER eaten broccoli, even the broccolini was delicious."

  • "I am so excited to find a restaurant that has it all! Exceptional service with delicious food! Will be back and am telling everyone. Go to Flint!"

  • "Seems as if I saw a review or two that did not rate Flint as a top-flight restaurant, but our experience was outstanding. We had Saturday evening reservations and were seated immediately. Our waiter was friendly and attentive; our orders were served timely. My sea bass was prepared to perfection and my wife's black and blue salad (steak on romaine, etc.) likewise. Our friends had the sea bass and pan seared trout; they loved theirs. The decor is cool as is atmosphere in general. Unless the weather is nice, valet parking is a good idea. We certainly will return."

  • "The service was impeccable! We bought a bottle of wine and never had to pour any of it ourselves--the wait staff always noticed if our glasses were getting a bit low. She was wonderful, the food was great. We went for our anniversary and had a great time."

  • "My friends and I dine here pretty often when we are going to the basketball game or have an event at the Civic Center. It's a great central spot for both places. The food & drinks are always great!!"

  • "We had seen good reviews of this restaurant and decided to check it out. We liked the food but were disappointed by the quality of the service. We were enjoying an appetizer with wine when our salads arrived before we could finish the appetizer. So now we had to work on both our salads and appetizer. The main courses arrived when we were barely half-way through our salads. The restaurant was not full and there was no reason to hurry us along. A part of the problem may be that this restaurant is accustomed to serving customers who are grabbing a quick meal before walking across to a Thunder game."

  • "We always love Flint for cocktails on the patio, but tried it for a celebratory brunch for this visit. I would say half of our party's food was great (eggs benedict) and the other half was just good (omelets). The BEST part of our dining experience was the service. Truly outstanding! I believe our servers name was Uriela? I may have that wrong. Anyway, she was fabulous! We will definitely be back! Also loved the $1.99 mimosas!"

  • "A friend and Flint's Mac & Cheese! It's really all you need to have a delectable night! We started with red wine, hush puppies and chips. Ya, not how it sounds. It was all absolutely delish. We ordered an hamburger and steak at entrees, but the sides of Mac and Cheese was where it was at! I couldn't finish the meal because of all the yumminess we started with! I lived the chill ambiance, and the staff was kind. I loved how they all seemed to be enjoying being at work. Their joy made the evening even more fun! I will be back...next time with my hubby!"

  • "Would have enjoyed our dinner out more if we hadn't had to wear our coats the entire time. The place was that cold. We were also charged a split charge which we weren't told about in advance. They are also very proud of a certain type of ice cream priced at $8 for a small cup to accompany the apple pie.."

  • "My husband and I dined here before a Friday night Thunder game. We allowed plenty of time and we were not rushed or hurried. Ashley was our server and was excellent! The food was very good (we had a filet and the trout, and started with shrimp tacos and spinach salad). Didn't make it to dessert! I would return if in OKC again! Very convenient also while staying at The Colcord!"

  • "We met family at Flint before a concert. We had a great seat by the window, fantastic service, and superb food! They were out of the Sangria I ordered, but the wine substitue was fine. Then after the meal we had a short walk by the park to the concert at the arena."

  • "Went before a Thunder game- very busy, felt like food was OK, but although we had a very nice server, food and service were very slow. We thought we'd been forgotten."

  • "Flint has great food, a simple menu, and a great atmosphere. It reminds me of the type of restaurants I used to frequent in Chicago, so it feels good to eat in an environment that is hip, urban, and has a mild touch of sophistication."

  • "Great food and even better ambiance. Has some outdoor seating. Views of Myriad Gardens and Devon Tower. Has some casual seating near bar and unique fire area - not your normal fire place. Can go in jeans or business attire, but everyone dressed nicely. Clientele appeared to be business, mature friend groups, or romantic dates. Noise levels are moderate so it feels fun for normal conversation levels. I recommend Flint for business, special occasions, and dates."

  • "For young and old, great food, great setting, & great service. Been there on 4 separate occasions, & Ill be going back & I tell everyone about it. I work downtown, but I'd drive from home or wherever to eat & have drinks with friends & love ones. I'm not rich, can be a little pricey, but great food!"

  • "We had a Sunday Brunch before the Thunder basketball game. We loved the food options, great selection of new and traditional offerings with a modern twist. Lunch and dinners are also good as we have dined at Flint many times in the past. Bill Frankfurt"

  • "The best thing to say about Flint is that it is in the heart of Oklahoma City. The food is okay, but not fabulous. The service leaves something to be desired."

  • "Friday night, 2/21/14, 6:15pm; Advised waitress that we had tickets to the Civic Center at 8pm. plenty of time. We had to ask for bread. The food was very good & the other wait staff (water, clearing table, etc.) were very attentive. We ordered dessert & coffee, still with plenty of time to spare. The coffee came promptly, but we never got the dessert. We had to tell another wait staff that we needed our ticket & when our waitress brought it, she had added the dessert on & was not even aware that we had never got dessert.. She did change our ticket, removed the charge for the dessert, & comped the coffee. Another concern, the constant line of vehicles unloading with their bright lights on shining in our eyes destroyed the ambiance."

  • "Flint met our expectations, and then some! We tarted with salads, which were fresh and tasty. Our server was pleasant and polite, and her timeliness was perfect. I ordered the salmon, which was very good. However, the star of the evening, was my husband's Sea Bass dish! The only thing I would change, is adding some opaque blinds to the windows. The cars parking in the Colcord drive blinded me several times with their headlights! Not romantic!"
