  • "Great date night restaurant, save up because you will likely pay upwards of $60 for two people, but for a romantic date night and some of the best food in town this is the place to go. I had the hanger steak with scallops, broccolini and mac and cheese (not your mundane every day mac and cheese, this was killer and brought to another level). The steak was cooked perfectly (one of, if not the best, steak I've ever had), the scallops were delicious with the perfect sear and the mac and cheese was perfectly creamy, but not too overwhelmingly heavy. Excellent meal, if you have the extra cash to go to a nice dinner then this is the place to go."

  • "I've now been to Flint twice, several months apart. Both times, the food was lackluster and overpriced, which is frustrating given its prime location and gorgeous interiors. We simply have not felt that our meals were worth their steep price. Similarly, Flint is primarily staffed with unknowledgable, though kind, servers. My first trip, the server did not know what a doppio espresso was, despite it's presence on the menu. The latest trip, the server struggled to pronounce the special, including the words bouillabaisse and fennel. It simply has lent itself to dining at Flint being an unenjoyable experience."

  • "My wife and I arrived about 45 minutes before our reservation, so we went to the bar and had a couple of drinks. Bartenders were very good and the décor is cool. When seated, we were waited on quickly by a very friendly waitress. My wife enjoyed her house salad, while I had the very tasty jalapeno hushpuppies with a spicy/sweet sauce. We both enjoyed our entrees. My wife's filet was great and my swordfish was pretty good. For desert, we shared a banana pie, which was good, but not great. Overall, I would rate our whole experience as very good. The restaurant has a cool vibe and is only a block from Chesapeake Arena. All of the servers and the valet folks were very friendly and provided excellent service."

  • "Every time we eat here, one or more entrees has some problem with it (which begs the question, "why do we come back?"). On our most recent visit, the meat requested to be cooked to medium was so rare the center was cool to the touch. We sent it back, and after they finally got around to putting the meat back on the grill, they put the meat on a bread plate and left me to reassemble the entree. This was on a slow night and you could see the kitchen staff just standing around. Meanwhile, everyone else's meals got cold."

  • "This was my wife and mines first time to Flint and we enjoyed every bit of it. Great appetizers in the Jalapeño Hush Puppies. Then I ordered the flank steak medium rare...cooked to perfection. My wife had the filet and I must say it melted in your mouth when you ate it. We ended with the white chocolate cheesecake was was good as well. We will be back for sure. Also our server was very knowledgable and helpful in making great food decisions."

It was prepared as requested and tasted great. The scallops were prepared as they should have been and were some of the best I ever had. The macaroni and cheese served with my order was fantastic. My wife's burger was also flavorful and tasted like beef. The thin fries were also super. We were not disappointed and will be back as soon as we are able."

  • "Hoped for a special birthday. Reservation indicating that wasn't even acknowledged. Ordered simple hummus appetizer. Had to remind them twice. It came with the entrees! 2 soup orders lukewarm. Otherwise good food. So many waiters, servers and other workers standing around that we thought service would be great! But not at all. Was it because we were 3 old ladies, compared to sharply dressed business men at most tables who seemed to be getting great service? I had read in O.Table beforehand reviews that said service was lacking...but thought our experience could be different and worth the try. I will no doubt go back someday because of the salmon!! But, meantime sure hope service improves for others!"

  • "The look is very nice, the service was very good. Speical occasion. My husband ordered salmon w/risoto and it was good although he found the fish too peppery. I ordered the filet w/broccolini & Flint potatoes. I suppose I should have asked what Flint potatoes were. I assumed some type of mashed. When our food came the salmon dish was nice and hot. My steak and broc was luke warm and my potatoes were refridgerator cold inside. They took it back to heat up (and took 10% off of our bill) but meanwhile my hyusband had to eat without me or let his get cold. The steak was very tender but over spiced the potatoes were hot but far too strong flavored/over rich with some kind of cheese and pools of standing oil or butter. Dissapointed."

  • "I ordered the Riesling chicken and it was over seasoned, and it was in a pool of grease at the bottom of the plate. We ordered the sword fish which was good but the side salad thar came with it was drowned In grease. Our waiter only came to the table one time. He didn't have "a menu printed out for us to look at" either. Wouldn't recommend. I am a waitress and this is terrible service and food for an expensive price."

  • "We were in town for the US Senior Open Golf Tournament and wanted to eat one nice dinner while there. We picked the right place! The special for the evening was Steak Oscar which was superb as were the Scallops. Both were served with unusual and very tasty sides - purple garlic potatoes, butternut squash, candied spinach. Flint has a great drink menu as well. I would recommend the Spa Martini for a very refreshing summer drink. Our server, Christina, helped us select a great meal and gave his tips on enjoying an evening in the Bricktown area. Flint also has a great outdoor dining area with live music."

  • "I stayed at the Colcord with a friend over the weekend so we had dinner at Flint. Though our waiter was polite he was just inattentive and it took us quite a while to get our food. He forgot about our bread for 45 minutes even though the restaurant was not even half full.. nevertheless, it was fantastic food and worth the wait and fairly high price!"

  • "My wife and I had a family dinner 2 years ago at Flint (served upstairs in the hotel) right before our wedding. So we came back to celebrate our 2-year anniversary. I included that detail in my reservation, and when we got there, they brought us to a quiet, secluded table and brought out the bartender, who had made us an aperitif to get started. He also brought us a nightcap with our dessert, on the house. They really went out of their way to help us celebrate our anniversary. And of course the rest of the food was great. We started out with wine & the charcuterie plate. I had a perfectly cooked filet, and my wife had the prawns - both excellent. Our server and the manager were so nice - professional, while still making us feel welcome."

I subbed the Papaya Chutney with the Berry Compote that normally goes on the French Toast (which is amazing). Their Apple Wood Smoked Bacon is delicious, too!   • "We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary at Flint. Service was great. My wife can not eat dairy. Some of the things on the menu had dairy. Instead of the server making the decision she went and asked if sides could be substituted and there was no probelm at all. They went above what they should have and I appreciated it. We will return to Flint to enjoy their food again."
