"This is my second time at Flights. The food is fantastic and as good as any four diamond restaurant I have been to in the Triangle but the service doesn't match. I recommend the poached lobster tail and the she crab soup. The wine list is lacking with basically a few house wines in each category. The service while friendly can be much better. Examples would be that the servers need training on how to open and pour wine. Appetizer plates should be removed from the table and fresh silverware put down before the entrees arrive. I was told that the special was a pork shoulder dish and what was delivered was a short rib of some type. The manager should take a field trip to a fine dining restaurant in down town Raleigh to see what great"

"Was largely disappointed with my meal. Had been waiting to try this place for quite some time. There was nothing special about any of our entrees, and most of our food was overcooked. Both my wife and I had fish, and left feeling like we could have had a better meal at an average restaurant like Bonefish Grill. Was looking to find innovative food cooked to perfection --- and found nothing resembling this, unfortunately. The bread was good, the service fine, but the meal lacked imagination and attention to detail. Will not be going back anytime soon."

"Flights does not rise above the usual mediocrity of hotel restaurants. A fairly sterile environment, ok food, and a waiter who turned his attention elsewhere when assigned a second table. If I were a hotel guest too tired to leave the hotel for dinner at one of the many nice restaurants within a hundred feet of the hotel's front door, this would have been ok. But as a destination for locals celebrating a landmark birthday, it was a mistake."

"Our server was a delight. She could talk about the menu items like a chef, answered our questions fully, was attentive, but not imposing. The generous portion of Creamy Pesto Penne was a little bland, but I was already getting full from the scrumptious appetizers, She Crab Soup, and irresistible warm bread. Our server packed it in a to-go container for me, and I have to say that I've never had better left overs. I don't know how it went from bland the night before to the deliciousness I experienced the next day, but it was remarkable."
