Pros: Our waiter James was great. He explained the menu perfectly. We recommend sticking with the small plates or flights. However next time we go back, we will be ordering a regular portion of the lobster bisque. It was the best. We were celebrating our anniversary and this was a great experience. If you are crunched for time this is not the place for you. We had apps ,soup/salad, dinner, and dessert in about two hours and we thought was perfect for timing. Cons: Pricey but I will say probably worth it for special occasions. I was looking forward to the scallop Benedict and had to change my order after they ran out of scallops. Ended up ordering the elk which was the least favorite thing I ordered.

This would have been an outstanding experience if not for the noise. This establishment is extremely busy, and I do mean extremely. We dined on a Wednesday night from 7:15 until 9 o'clock and there was never an empty table. The atmosphere is very casual. Our server Chris and his assistants were superb. There was a significant wait for our first course which was at first irritating but was soon forgotten after the food arrived. The unique dining concept of flights offers a very intriguing variety of tastes to savor. The excellent wine list is simply another plus. We wanted to order dessert but our two courses satiated us to the point we deferred. Would certainly recommend Flight if you are not adverse to an energetic noise level.

Flight is small & charming, although loud. The service was prompt & attentive. Brett, one of our servers, stood out to us...friendly, attentive & made great suggestions. The concept of Flight is small plates (flights) from soup to desserts & all between. A great way to try lots of the menu. Musts: the deviled eggs, lobster bisque, watermelon salad, duck breast, trout, key lime pie, chocolate wellington & pecan pie. Disappointments: the bison ribeye which was about a 1oz portion, 1/3 of the size of my duck breast (good in taste but not in value), the other fish on the fish flight were just ok (trout was best). Make a reservation as the place is small and popular. No. 1 of 1200+ Memphis restaurants on trip Advisor & it shows!

Flight was good, but not amazing. And for the prices, you want amazing. A nice thing is you can mix and match "flights" so if you don't want one item that comes with a flight, you can exchange it or have two (or one) items instead of all three. They have some intriguing wine and after dinner drink flights too. My pork was good, but too salty; my salad was SO overdressed and had cheese on it when I requested no cheese. However, my boyfriend really enjoyed his soup flight. Our dessert flights were so-so, and they were out of the dessert we really wanted to try. Service was incredibly SLOW (2.5 hours) and slightly rude, but, the hostess was nice and friendly.

My wife loves the choices available at Flight with the selection of small portions (not that she chooses a different entree). The service is excellent and the staff attentive. Unless you are seated in a high traffic route to the kitchen, the overall experience can be special. The flights allows an individual to taste food or wine on a small serving basis. I learned that there are certain whiskeys I do not like and saved the expense of a dusty bottle sitting in my liquor cabinet.

We just dined at Flight for the second time this month. The atmosphere is quiet and lovely. Service, again, was top notch. I ordered the same flight (Loin) and I will say that the veal was notably overcooked and bland this second time around. However, the tenderloin and the lamb were simply perfect. Wine list is extensive and the server had a good overall knowledge of the selections. Dessert (chocolate flight) was divine and we enjoyed the after dinner cordial flights as well. A beautiful evening. We'll be back.

I've been to Flight several times and never been disappointed with any aspect. I will admit however, I tried the shrimp and grits this last time and while it was good, it was more along the "best dishes at Applebee's" kind of good. The black grouper with lobster risotto MORE than made up for any shortcomings with the grits. The bison ribeye was wonderful as always. My date enjoyed the Boursin stuffed fillet quite a bit. It was very good but you have to be a garlic fan. If they are serving the black grouper or bison ribeye when you're there, they are can't miss picks, and the elk chop is still my favorite choice on the menu.

Great concept with flexibility to have as many or few small and large plates as you like. It was a hard choice but the Small plates let me have both the duck and trout - both mouth watering. Small plates are sizable portions and the desserts are regular size so share. The chocolate chip soufflé to die for. Something to work on - it took a very long time for wine flights to arrive and I missed having my salad without a glass of white wine. Thanks - have already been back for lunch and recommended it to a few other tourists I ran into.

We live out of state but make the drive frequently to stay in Memphis and eat at Flight. We have always had a great dining experience until Saturday night. The food was great but our service was not. We waited 20 minutes to get something to drink and when we would ask for another drink, the wait was just as long. We made reservations a week in advance, but were still placed at a table upstairs where we had to squeeze in next to a table of 5 and "watch out" for our elbows and legs everytime a waiter or waitress came by.

The food looked visually appealing, but left a good deal to be desired. We ordered the fried green tomatoes with crab - it needed salt badly and the green tomatoes themselves had no flavor at all. For dinner, we ordered custom flights: grouper was crusted nicely, but again lacked seasoning. The tenderloin on both flights was seriously overdone and dry to the point you could not eat it, with a piece of wilted green onion on top. The chicken and waffles was actually burnt black, which the kitchen tried to hide, and tasted solely of tabasco sauce. Dessert was disappointing as well; for example, we ordered the pineapple upside down cake. It was simply a really dense upside down vanilla cupcake with a teaspoon of chopped pineapple on top.

Soup Flight first, split with a fellow diner and really enjoyed it. Lobster Bisque, Tomato Basil, and Seafood Gumbo. The Seafood Gumbo was good (I grew up in Louisiana, so I can only give it a good...not as authentic as expected, but good) Tomato Basil and the Lobster Bisque were outstanding. Order it, but SPLIT it with someone if you don't have a REALLY hearty appetite. Then we both got the meat flight with the Bison, Filet Mignon, and Elk steaks. They cooked them to PERFECTION, & the asparagus, mini twice-baked potato, and garlic mashed potatoes also were excellent. NO room for dessert. Flight of reds and the Cabernets: Excellent. Service a little spotty, but they are young and hip, and polite. Highly recommend this restaurant!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience w/ excellent food, wine & service. Being foodies, we have high expectations - Flight did not disappoint. We had the carpaccio flight w/ beef, elk and venison-impeccably prepared and matched w/ greens & cheese. The lobster bisque was so good I wanted to lick the bowl. I had the steak flight with beef tenderloin, elk chop and bison ribeye. The serving size was ample and when combined with the appetizer and soup, definitely enough to satisfy hearty appetites. We split the chocolate flight of desserts - each was plenty by itself, but so delicious. The wines were outstanding, matched by excellent service. Perfect place to bring out-of-town guests or for a special occasion.

This was my first experience with meal samplers, potentially paired with trio's of wine samplers to complement. The 'flight' is sort of like tapas, little servings of drinks and food. A trio of salads were served, each ~1/3 of a full salad (which was also available), or a trio of soups. So for the adventuresome foodie, you could get many tastes of pretty delicious food! The dinner 'flights' included servings ~1/3 of the full entrée, for example 3 oz of bison steak, with all of the planned sides of rice and veggies. I got the Chef Special deviled eggs with fried oysters and maple bacon, amazing! Instead of going with 3 plates for the entrée I had two, so there was room for a flight of 3 desserts which we shared between 5 of us, perfect!!
