Our waiter this time was Guto. I think that is how he spells it. We were a party of 5 and as usual we enjoyed our visit. The food is always great and the service is always spot on. Keep up the great work! Just wish you had your choice in appetizer fights as well.

Meeting a friend in Memphis for a weekend, found this gem of a restaurant. Meal was delicious - Ocean FLight and Carpaccio Flight plus two flights of red wine, Market Favorites (domestic) and World Favorites. Great place to sit outsied enjoy the tastings -- like small plates and wine! Would definitely go back -- Servers were helpful, explaining the menu and provided great service.

I've been to Flight several times and never been disappointed with any aspect. I will admit however, I tried the shrimp and grits this last time and while it was good, it was more along the "best dishes at Applebee's" kind of good. The black grouper with lobster risotto MORE than made up for any shortcomings with the grits. The bison ribeye was wonderful as always. My date enjoyed the Boursin stuffed fillet quite a bit. It was very good but you have to be a garlic fan. If they are serving the black grouper or bison ribeye when you're there, they are can't miss picks, and the elk chop is still my favorite choice on the menu.

Great concept with flexibility to have as many or few small and large plates as you like. It was a hard choice but the Small plates let me have both the duck and trout - both mouth watering. Small plates are sizable portions and the desserts are regular size so share. The chocolate chip soufflé to die for. Something to work on - it took a very long time for wine flights to arrive and I missed having my salad without a glass of white wine. Thanks - have already been back for lunch and recommended it to a few other tourists I ran into.

We live out of state but make the drive frequently to stay in Memphis and eat at Flight. We have always had a great dining experience until Saturday night. The food was great but our service was not. We waited 20 minutes to get something to drink and when we would ask for another drink, the wait was just as long. We made reservations a week in advance, but were still placed at a table upstairs where we had to squeeze in next to a table of 5 and "watch out" for our elbows and legs everytime a waiter or waitress came by.

Flight never disappoints. From the time you arrive to the time you leave the staff pays strict attention to your wants and needs. The food is excellent. The executive chef is a master at creating exquisite meals that are pleasing to the pallet. Great for special occasions or just grabbing a drink with friends. There's something for everyone.

The food looked visually appealing, but left a good deal to be desired. We ordered the fried green tomatoes with crab - it needed salt badly and the green tomatoes themselves had no flavor at all. For dinner, we ordered custom flights: grouper was crusted nicely, but again lacked seasoning. The tenderloin on both flights was seriously overdone and dry to the point you could not eat it, with a piece of wilted green onion on top. The chicken and waffles was actually burnt black, which the kitchen tried to hide, and tasted solely of tabasco sauce. Dessert was disappointing as well; for example, we ordered the pineapple upside down cake. It was simply a really dense upside down vanilla cupcake with a teaspoon of chopped pineapple on top.

Soup Flight first, split with a fellow diner and really enjoyed it. Lobster Bisque, Tomato Basil, and Seafood Gumbo. The Seafood Gumbo was good (I grew up in Louisiana, so I can only give it a good...not as authentic as expected, but good) Tomato Basil and the Lobster Bisque were outstanding. Order it, but SPLIT it with someone if you don't have a REALLY hearty appetite. Then we both got the meat flight with the Bison, Filet Mignon, and Elk steaks. They cooked them to PERFECTION, & the asparagus, mini twice-baked potato, and garlic mashed potatoes also were excellent. NO room for dessert. Flight of reds and the Cabernets: Excellent. Service a little spotty, but they are young and hip, and polite. Highly recommend this restaurant!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience w/ excellent food, wine & service. Being foodies, we have high expectations - Flight did not disappoint. We had the carpaccio flight w/ beef, elk and venison-impeccably prepared and matched w/ greens & cheese. The lobster bisque was so good I wanted to lick the bowl. I had the steak flight with beef tenderloin, elk chop and bison ribeye. The serving size was ample and when combined with the appetizer and soup, definitely enough to satisfy hearty appetites. We split the chocolate flight of desserts - each was plenty by itself, but so delicious. The wines were outstanding, matched by excellent service. Perfect place to bring out-of-town guests or for a special occasion.

This was my first experience with meal samplers, potentially paired with trio's of wine samplers to complement. The 'flight' is sort of like tapas, little servings of drinks and food. A trio of salads were served, each ~1/3 of a full salad (which was also available), or a trio of soups. So for the adventuresome foodie, you could get many tastes of pretty delicious food! The dinner 'flights' included servings ~1/3 of the full entrée, for example 3 oz of bison steak, with all of the planned sides of rice and veggies. I got the Chef Special deviled eggs with fried oysters and maple bacon, amazing! Instead of going with 3 plates for the entrée I had two, so there was room for a flight of 3 desserts which we shared between 5 of us, perfect!!

My daughter and I tried Flight for the first time 2 nights ago. We are both "samplers" in that we like a variety of foods. Well this is the place!! We each ordered 2 flights of 3 entrees and swapped half way in. So, we each got 2-3 bites of 6 delectable entrees and the vegetables that accompanied them. It was pure joy. We also got a flight of salad and soup, and of course dessert. I will definitely be back. It's a little pricey, but perfect for a special night.

We had an excellent dinner. neat concept...spin off of tapas. Small plates & items ordered in Flights of 3. My favorite way to dine, so I can try multiple different items from the menu. Charcuterie app was delicious with pheasant & boar sausage. Hard to decide what was favorite dish. A MUST IF IN MEMPHIS.

Tried out this restaurants on a recommendation from a friend. Free valet parking was available that night. Excellent service. Wait staff was very knowledgable about the menu. Love the ability to have three small plates, called a flight, which could be modified to your liking. Enough to allow a good taste but not too much food. Great for sharing! Menu selections were varied. I loved it!

I was disappointment by their food. Other things bothered me as well, but the main reason is the food. I like the concept of having small plates and the waiter explained very well that., he emphasizes that this is an opportunity to taste different plates. Well i felt with the choice of 3 there is one that it is not high quality as the others and they try to get rid off it. The same for the desert... The soufflé is nothing but a cinnamon cake, that was tooooo cinnamon. We went Wednesday evening, it was extremely noisy. The restroom is small and old. The service was too slow, we waited 1h&40 min to get the entree. The waiters were nice, caring, explained everything very well. I am not planning to go there again.

Restaurant was nice and quiet, service was very good, but the prices were way too high for the mediocre food. The different dinner meals did not match the menu descriptions. The Veal Scallopini was dry, tasteless and needed salt. It would have been better with mashed potatoes and gravy. The Boursin Stuffed Fillet was not stuffed and needed garlic powder. The Chicken and Waffles was good but needed more maple syrup. The meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes, pinto beans and green beans that I prepared the next evening was so much better there is no comparison and i did it for under $ 10.00.

The night started of promising but went down hill from there. My wife ordered the Fish Flight but got the Seafood Flight. Given how long the food took & that she had originally considering the Seafood before hearing about the catch of the day she didn't send it back. Only problem was the Lobster Biscuit and Gravy was over cooked, the Shrimp and Grits were overcooked and bland, but all that said the Sea Scallop Benedict was a little gem of goodness. I ordered the Steak flight medium rare however all 3 dishes were more rare so I will try ordering them medium next time. When the entrees arrived my wife order another Lemon Drop Martini one that she did not receive until after we had finished eating our food. I hope this was just a bad night.

As our server put it, "we do this with wine, why not food?" I expected something different when I made the reservations and was a bit intimidated by the concept. However, it was one I look forward to trying on our next visit to Memphis. I will pick a different flight next time. I chose the seafood flight and my only complaint was that the grits hadn't seen much salt but the other items were tasty. My husband can now say he's had elk, also! I've also discovered a Sauvignon Blanc that I like. The Duckhorn in the What a Tart Flight (which was the recommended flight to go with my Seafood food Flight) was a delicious discovery. The dessert flights were also scrumptious. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Nearly everything was perfect, but there were just little things that irked me a bit. First, there was the party that had brought their toddler and baby to dinner here. Not cool! Needless to say, the kiddies made their presence known throughout the night. Please respect the other diners by not bringing your tiny children here. Also, the small plate portion size varied greatly depending on what you got. I got the special, a delicious bison ribeye, and the portion was nearly non-existent. Like, 3 bites of bison for $16. Whereas my fiancee ordered the duck, and got a huge breast. (I may have helped her finish it.) Still, the food tasted delicious, the service was great, and it was still a lovely night.

I was very excited about my visit to Flight, but once I got there I was a little disappointed. I made reservations and was offered a table by the door and declined. I was told the next table would be available in 15mins which felt like 30 mins. Once seated the service was okay. Our server was kind, but the food really didn't meet my expectations. I loved the ambiance and setting of the restaurant just wish the food was a little better and I was very disappointed with the food. The chicken and waffles was okay. The pork loin was really good hate I didn't have more. Overall it was an average experience, nothing to phone a friend about.

The other flights dishes I ordered were great,...except for the mushroom gravy over the chicken and waffles. I'd prefer crispy not soggy chicken and a firm not soggy waffle. The only sauce I want on my waffle is maple syrup. The gravy should have been left off. My favorite of the meal was the red snapper and the BBQ shrimp.

Aside from the noise level, dinner was very enjoyable. I would recommend Flight for any special occasion. The only complaint my husband and I had was that the restaurant was too loud.
