We went with a small group. One of us enjoys watching Hubert Keller's cooking shows and wanted to taste his food. We were all very impressed and enjoyed everything he had. They had a round table in the room which is excellent for a big party. The atmosphere and food were outstanding and the service was great concidering those poor servers had to climb all those stairs for every order delivered.
I would definetly recommend this restaurant to others and I know our other friends were equally impressed and will be bragging of the great experience as well.

They have a small plates dinner menu which had enough variety to appeal to our differing palates. On the down side, and this may have been more in our choices, the food wasn't as experimental or didn't push my palate as much as I would have expected for a restaurant of this quality (my dining partner leans to the traditional). On the cocktail side, the Paris in Bloom was really nice, though a bit strong in flavors for a drink to stimulate your appetite. The apple/absinthe cocktail was like nyquil and didn't work at all (we sent it back). Would absolutely recommend the place, however, next time I'll venture into other options to see if they fill in those gaps. Our food came out very quickly, service was attentive without being intrusive. Especially loved the foie gras and short ribs. The diver scallop presentation was really something - presented under a smoke filled glass dome. Having dined at Fleur de Lys in San Francisco, we were expecting the same creativity and high quality of food, but it was not to be. My Peking Duck main, for example, was tender, however it was not crisp. Also the vegetable pairing did not work. The chocolate souffle was dry and average vs. the moist, stellar one (made with Valrhnoa chocolate)I had two nights later at Wolfgang Puck's Cut steakhouse. Perhaps Mr. Keller has overextended himself; I can't say the same about Mr. Puck.12/23/2012 12:00:00 AMWonderful "Feast" for a party of 8Wonderful experience - Manfred took care of our party of 8, recommended "The Feast" which was everything on the menu except the large plates. It was a great deal and we got to try things we never would have ordered otherwise. Pleasant relaxing dinner with our client. Would go back in a heartbeat.
