Walk in and you will feel a very nice ambience. It is energetic, but classy. Waiter was attentive and friendly even though it was a very busy night. Food was excellent. You get free, delicious bread with dips at the beginning. The brie for the appetizer was great. Main filet mignon was excellent. Cooked perfectly with a perfect amount of seasoning. It was very tender and no steak sauce was needed. Prime New York Strip was the same. Side order of onion rings was amazing. HUGE rings stacked on top of each other. Perfect amount of crispiness and taste. I gave this restaurant 4 stars only because I believe that no steak is worth $42. We have never had a bad experience here and if something isnt just right, guess what, they take care of you and make sure it is right. The General Manager makes his way around to make sure you know him. the restaurant was obviously VERY busy but my waiter was attentive without hovering.
The New York strip steak was one of the three best I have ever had. it melted in your mouth and i ate it as it came from the kitchen.
I couldn't finish it and the containers that you take the food home is microwaveable.

My wife's steak was overcooked but she still liked it (though she wishes they put less peppercorn on it, for it was a bit overwhelming for her). A manager spotted that it was overdone and that she was scraping off the unanticipated peppercorns, and made a good gesture to ensure we felt like the problem was not ignored. Food was the best we have had in a lomg time. The special offered through open table (Filet and Lobster) was outstanding and reasonably priced. Wine was good as always. The wine selection process using an I-pad was creative and helpful. Known for their steaks, they also have excellent fish. My wife had the scallops and found them to be plump, sweet and prepared perfectly. Just started getting the Flemings potatoes as a side dish and they are now a new favorite. Of course the steaks were among the best in St. Louis as usual.
