Diner Reviews
  • "Food quality is very consistent and service is always great!"

  • "title say it all, other places make just as good dining experience for less money!"

  • "Reservation times mean very little. We arrived at 7:25 for a 7: 30 resevation and were told that they would check us in, but they were running behind and there were 5 groups ahead of us. This is the second time this has happened to us."

  • "As always the food is magnificent!!! Service was a bit slow, had to ask for the bread, refill our own wine glasses. Need some retraining of the team. But, regardless the food is fantastic. And they accomodated our booth request at the last minute."

  • "This was a wonderful place for a special occasion. The food was great, but I have to say the GF made the better choice with the New York Strip even though mine was great. The service was spot on, very attentive but not over bearing with good character."

  • "Our previous experience at a Fleming's was not up to what I would expect for the price. Fortunately, we gave it another shot, just at a different location (this one). Our food was cooked perfectly and the service was excellent. While the price is more than I would typically spend for a night out with the family, everyone enjoyed their meal and we had a nice evening out."

  • "It was a packed Monday night. Delicious hot bread loaf was served with two cheese spreads. Yummy but did think that would tend to fill a diner up. The service was friendly and the manager came by and made the point to call me by my name. A great marketing gesture was the email thank you sent later that evening. We had the small plates of scallops and my friend had the perfectly seasoned lamp chops . My friend saved room for the creme Brule with dollops of satiny fresh whipped cream. I had two great glasses of a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. Although it can be a bit noisy, it really is a great synergy of people enjoying this fine restaurant. Recently I read some of the reviews about poor service but we were treated royally."

  • "We like Flemings for special occasions. The restaurant also offered a lobster and filet mignon for a very nice option to the regular menu."

  • "While the food at Fleming's remains quite impressive, the wine prices continue to spiral out of control. The mark-up on popular mid-priced to high-end wines is astounding. I found several wines where the identical label and vintage were 20% higher than even other Scottsdale restaurants. I understand that restaurants are entitled to a profit margin but Fleming's might as well charge you $25 just to look at the wine list."

  • "Well, this is about as good as it gets for steaks...and creamed spinach. While we are not big on steakhouses, we've done all the elite ones, and this is the best we've had. Our filets were perfect and appetizers, sides and dessert very good. Impressive was the creamed spinach, where Peter Lugers has always won that accolade. By the way the Fleming potatoes are also very yummy, not overly salted like most and worth the extra $$$. We'll go here again. Ask for Sarah...a welcome addition to our dining experience."

  • "Food and service were outstanding. It was quit noisy; hard for conversations. I have eaten here many times. Food is always great. Service was the best I've seen."

  • "Fleming's is attached to the Hilton Scottsdale, so it was perfect. The food portions were perfect, actually too large. Porkchop was cooked and marinated to perfection. Salmon was tender. Extremely pricey and everything ala cart, but worth every penny. Service was impeccable and management stopped by twice to see how our evening was going. Will definitely go back when visiting Scottsdale again."

  • "A quality operation. Good food, good service and good atmosphere."

  • "Steaks were great, you can get a "lobster Tail" for and additional 12.50 with your steak, However, I have seen Shrimp larger, and much better tasting than what they considered a Lobster tail, so I wouldn't recommend the add on. Very expensive for what you got."

  • "We were seated promptly at 6:00PM Greeted by the manager. Went down hill from there. Waited 30 minutes for the salad. The food was luke warm when finally served. Almost an hour after we arrived Not a good experience"

  • "Honestly, the best steak I have ever eaten. Kudos."

  • "This is my third "second chance" I have given them. Never again - poor service, bad attitudes from staff, food all wrong-how do you grill a bun and serve it ice cold to the touch? Avoid this place like the plague"

  • "It was our first visit to Flemings, a group of 7, celebrating a birthday and a college graduation. Overall, we had a decent experience, however there was an incident that happened, that I have decided to not share the specific details, mainly because it would shine a light on a very bad moment, which everyone has at least once in their life. What I do want to highlight is the actions taken by our host Tommy and his manager Preston to immediately rectify the issue and deliver to us a positive outcome compared to what we had experienced that would have definitely produced a much more negative review."

  • "Flemings is one of our favorite spots for a great happy hour or special dinner out. The steaks are fabulous as is their Scottish salmon."

  • "Went to Arizona to watch spring training with a friend. We wanted to go out for a good steak and went to Flemings. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we were treated like royalty! Doug our server was one of the best I've ever had serve me ever! Tracy? The Manager, I apologize if I have the name wrong, was very engaging, and was great to talk to. She checked on us to make sure we loving everything in which we were. Darrin, the Operating partner, check on us as well to make sure we had everything we needed. It was a memorable evening with a good friend. I'll be back next year!!"

  • "Great decor, great food, great service and super staff are a constant at Fleming's. Fleming's in Scottsdale is an absolute gem. The only drawback is the back room where we were seated. It is a feeling of detachment when seated back there. Also, in that back room, the "energetic" noise level becomes too loud. With that said, the dinner was great as usual."

  • "Flemings needs to honor reservation times - seating us 30 minutes after a reservation defeats the purpose entirely. Central scottsdale location is sub-par - try North Scottsdale or Chandler."

  • "We celebrated my wife's birthday at Fleming's Scottsdale. From the time time we entered the restaurant everyone on the staff was very attentive ( not overly) and totally professional. The server was extremely knowledgeable and recommended a peppercorn rub on my bone in rib-eye steak which is the best I've had. Everyone acknowledged my wife's birthday, wishing her a happy birthday. This is one of the best dining experience we've had....ever!"

  • "As always, Flemings never disappoints. Hubby likes steak, but I tend to not order something out that I can cook at home. For that the small plates offerings are wonderful. Great wine list."

  • "I wanted a great steak, and that's exactly what I got! The only disappointment was that the table cloth was dirty when I sat down....well, that and the fact that I was too full for desert!"

  • "My wife and I went to Fleming's for date night and looked forward to a great steak, romantic atmosphere and five star service. Candidly, we received none of the above. Despite making a reservation, we were seated in the back room in a middle table under a bright light. Generally, the service at great (i.e. expensive) restaurants is exceptional...strike two. Our server knew nothing about the wine list and took so long to get to us we knew what we wanted for every course. We placed our entire order and asked him to space it out...strike three. We sat for 10 minutes between appetizers and the salad then another 25 minutes between salad and the main course. All around, it was definitely NOT worth the $220 we paid"

  • "Had been saving a couple of gift cards for a special occasion. Quite honestly not a price range that we now frequent. While we have dined at some of the finest over the years - there's a point in time when $200+ for dinner for two doesn't seem to make much sense more than a couple times a year. in your own backyard Experienced a very nice evening. Reservation was for 8:15 and we were seated by 8:20. Our server was very good - professional, attentive, friendly. Enjoyed a mid-range Cabernet and both of us had a filet with a side. Food was what one expects from an upscale steakhouse - prepared properly with an adequate amount of flair in the presentation."

  • "We made Valentine's Day reservations weeks in advance. We were seated in a back room off the main dining room even though there were empty tables in the main dining room. It felt like we were sitting in detention and paying for it. We asked about sitting in the main room, but the hostess said other tables would be fill up on in the detention room and it would be so bad. Really? So, bottom line, food was great, but paid $250+ for two of us to sit in that horrible room."

  • "As always, Flemings never disappoints. I'm a light eater so the small plates menu is perfect. It's more than enough to satisfy and a good selection. Hubby is a steak man and you can cut the filet with a fork. Great wines as will."

  • "For a high-end steakhouse,Fleming's served steak that was downright unpleasant We had gift cards for the restaurant- we would not have gone, otherwise. We were rather excited to "audition" the place We started with the calamari, and it was EXCELLENT.Good start. The steak was not I got the peppercorn NY Strip, and my wife got the wet aged NY strip.Mine was okay (probably the peppercorns).Hers was horrid - it tasted as if the beef had gone past aged to slightly rotting. There was no seasoning to speak of.We believe that a steak should be able to stand alone without added sauce, and she couldn't even finish this one And did I mention expensive? We had a 100 card, and still needed to pay 60 without alcohol or dessert We've had better at Outback"

  • "Love their Prime Rib specials on Sundays. It did seem that this time the slice of Prime rib was thinner than usual but very soft and flavorful."

  • "We have been dining at Flemings for many years at both the Chandler and Scottsdale locations, and we always prefer to go to Chandler. Sometimes we eat at Fleming's 2-3 times a month. The Scottsdale Flemings is missing much of what makes the Chandler location so great to visit. The service at the Scottsdale location is not as attentive and intuitive as Chandler - takes very long time to refill our wine, water and other beverages; food is constantly forgotten and service is generally much slower than Chandler. The Chef at Scottsdale is less accommodating than Chandler (lyonnaise potatoes). The list could go on but I have limited space for this review The Chandler Fleming's is only 20 minutes away but much better than Scottsdale Fleming's."
