  • "Definitely great for special occasions or for when you are craving that little something extra to pull you visit together perfectly. We definitely enjoy our steak/lobster specials and our waitress was wonderful."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed dining at Fleming's in SLC. We decided to sit in the bar area for a slightly livelier experience than the white tablecloth dining room. Our server was very knowledgeable about the food, wine and mixed drinks. My cadillac margarita was made perfectly. The caesar salad was delicious. We both ordered the filet mignon, which came out cooked to perfection. It tasted even better with a nice glass of pinot noir. Overall it was an extraordinary dining experience. We will go back again."

  • "Food was excellent. Service was excellent. I thought I had put in my reservation I was gluten free, but was presented a separate menu after I requested some choices from the server. We enjoyed our dinner and the atmosphere. The wines by the glass is excellent. Was able to enjoy a glass of Italian wine that I would otherwise have to order the bottle for myself. Next time we have friends and a special occasion downtown I will make another reservation."

  • "There are a lot of competitors in the formulaic high end, High $ steakhouse arena and Fleming's SLC is right in the middle IMHO. Service was excellent and the food was prepared well, however two things stood out to me. I opted for the dry aged ribeye which should have been a very tender well marbled steak. The steak was prepared perfectly, but the meat itself did not seem prime. There was no marbling whatsoever. Perhaps it was a fluke, but for $55 I expect the best. Secondly, an espresso should be strong and frothy. It was neither. Service was excellent, decor was typical for this genre (lots of wood.) I liked that they did not charge for sauces (i opted for Bearnaise.) All in all, very good, but average in the high end steak world."

  • "I wanted to surprise my wife with a romantic dinner for the 30th anniversary since we had first met. Flemings did not disappoint. We were greeted with congratulations from the staff. The waitress was unbelievable, funny and personable. I got the halibut special, which was delicious. My wife got a filet mignon, which she loved. The dessert was served with a candle and the waitress took our picture, framed it and provided with white and dark chocolate truffles. What a great night!"

  • "I expected Fleming's to have a very "trendy" feel, almost like a franchise restaurant would. I was impressed that it did not. The food was what you would expect at a steakhouse but the steak was better than a bland steak you get at most franchise restaurants. Our server was great, did not charge us a cork fee and also gave us free box of chocolate and a $25 gift card as we were celebrating an anniversary."

  • "Excellent food and service! Prices are too high, but with an across the board 15% reduction, the place would be full every night. Otherwise, this is a very special occasion choice only, for all but the wealthiest people."

  • "I was impressed with everything Flemings had to offer. The restaurant is beautiful and the ambience sets the tone for whatever occasion. There were people who were going to a Utah Jazz game, prom dates, and romantics like my husband and me. The prices are a little on the expensive, but you get what you pay for. Top notch! The service was outstanding. We didn't want for anything. All of the wait staff were attentive and friendly."

  • "Would have been a 5 on food if the scallops had been a bit larger.. other than that fantastic! Steak was cooked perfectly and the service was outstanding. I will be back!"

  • "Treated out-of-town guest to dinner who had never dined at Flemings. We had a terrific meal. Very happy to have a Flemings in Salt Lake City . Quality of service and food is exceptional regardless of location (i.e. San Diego, Scottsdale etc..)"

  • "Flemings has always been know as a superb steak house. The attention to food quality and innovative preparation also extends to their small plates menu for those wanting something a little less filling. With both beef and fish options, paired with a salad there is something for every taste."

  • "This was one of the nicest restaurants in downtown Salt Lake City Utah. The food was fixed to perfection. The ambiance was perfect for a dinner date. Great wine list. I could go on and on. Everything was perfect and very special."

  • "We've been here a few times now, but this was the best experience ever! From the waiter, the manager, and the chef presenting our meal, it was first class, as it should be! Both the chef and the manager came by to ensure our meals were delicious. This almost rivaled Gibson's in Chicago Illinois in the taste of the special steak."

  • "Slow service on a Monday night, but what was worse was the steaks were overcooked and the fish was overcooked. We didn't want to wait for them to fix it but expressed our displeasure."

  • "The service was exceptional, the food was outstanding. Over all we had a great anniversary dinner. our waitress was vary knowledgeable on the wine list."

  • "What a perfect find for a pre-Jazz game dinner: Fleming's "small plates" offer a variety of just the right size entrees. Paired with a salad and a nice glass of wine, its a satisfying and elegant way to dine before attending the Jazz game across the street. With valet parking, couldn't be any better."

  • "We come here for almost every major celebration. Their Sunday Prime rib special is an awesome deal and their staff is usually great. Our staff this time was awesome. The service was a bit slow but the restaurant was busier than normal and I didn't see as many wait staff members as I usually do. So ill chalk it up to that. Otherwise, same amazing food and great service. We will definitely go again!!"

  • "We really enjoyed our dining experience at Flemings. My husband and I wanted to bring our own bottle of wine; the staff were quite ok with this and only had a minor corkage fee ($12). Everyone was friendly, attentive, and courteous. The food was amazing and the staff knowledgable."

  • "Excellent food and service! I would definitely go back. Probably the best steak in SLC!"

  • "As wonderful as the food is at Flemmings, I hesitated to order the now $17.50 ahi appetizer which was $12.50. This time last year, and two years ago it was featured on a $6 special. I still like the restaurant but that was a shock for the exact same item."

  • "Love their specials, service levels that set standards. I've been to many Flemings all over the country and the SLC location is one of my favorites."

  • "I chose this restaurant for my husband's company party this year. On a positive note, the service was outstanding. The hostesses were great, the waiters and waitresses were very attentive and helpful. Overall, the noise level was so loud that we had a hard time hearing the people at our table (and we aren't that old!). We thought that for the price tag it would have been quieter and better food. It was a fine meal but nothing spectacular and certainly not worth the money spent. My husband commented that his steak was not good - disappointing for the guy paying the bill. He said that it was just okay and that it wasn't the best steak he has had in SLC. We won't be going there again and won't recommend Flemings to others."

  • "Was served the tail end of a tenderloin as a prime steak cooked rare when ordered medium. When it was returned after I said it was not medium, it looked as though it had been seared to get it to medium with a tough skin. I returned it again and the chef returned with a steak daring me to return it from my impression. No apology from the chef. The house potatoes were good as were the salads. I was upset by the chef's reaction and a waitress applying powder with a brush at what appeared to be the coffee station....yuck!"

  • "We regularly have dinner at the various steakhouses in Salt Lake/Park City - Ruth's Chris (downtown and PC), Christopher's, Prime (PC), the New Yorker, and Fleming's. Flemings is our hands-down favorite. While the steak itself is great at all of these places, it's really the service that puts Fleming's at the top of our list. Our waiter on our most recent visit was attentive without being annoying. The service was expertly timed - not rushed or prolonged. I like my steak cooked somewhere between medium and medium-well, which I and our server knew exactly what I meant and my steak was prepared exactly as I asked. I also appreciate the fact that their wine list includes many reasonably-priced selections."

  • "I love eating in the snow, although it was not exactly in the snow, it was snowing outdoors and I was sitting by the window as requested. From the hostess to the server to the wine specialist that recommended a perfect wine with dinner to the Chef JD, coming to my table to greet and suggest perfect steaks. I was impressed with the level of service from this chain restaurnt group Fleming's. My steak was perfectly cooked and the potatoes and cipolini onions cooked in garlic rosemary adn olive oil were spreadable bites of sweet onion for my steak."

  • "We dined on Christmas Eve. The restaurant was quite busy but everything was fantastic. The steaks are so tender and delicious. The service is excellent. I rated our waiter a 4 star because he kept forgetting things....including that my dining partner was allergic to nuts (we told him right off the bat, at the salad course, and again as we were eating our main course). He served her dessert with nuts on it. We would often try to flag him down but couldn't catch his attention. It was probably because it was so busy. I don't think this is the regular experience at Flemings. Flemings is a great place for a nice steak dinner. We had a fantastic time. Thanks for fitting us in."

  • "I went to Fleming's for a business dinner on this occasion but have been here before with my lady. The food and service is always very good. I had the French Onion Soup which is the best I've had in a while and Halibut Special which was also very tasty and well prepared with a generous portion of fish. I really have nothing bad to say about Fleming's."

  • "A place to treat yourself, so good and so accommodating."
    Dined on 12/14/2013
  • "Fleming's is a typical one-big-dining-room establishment that's very noisy making it not a place for a quiet dinner where you would enjoy talking to your friends, here you have to shout at them. Steaks were great. Small plate lamb chops was a disaster, we had to throw them away. The restaurant has a pretty good selection of wine although we brought our own and paid the $12 corkage fee."
    Dined on 12/13/2013
  • "We were seated promptly, waited on directly and not rushed. The steak was cooked to order, and the fish, was just as great. Hot food arrived hot, cold food cold, obviously the kitchen crew excels. We will be there again, and again."

  • "The food and service were both terrific! As anyone who has eaten there knows, the steaks are excellent and the sides are very generous and enough for 2. However, there are a couple of things that disappoint, at least at the Salt Lake Fleming's. 1) The restaurant is difficult to find (buried inside Gateway) 2) The restaurant was packed the night we went and the noise level was VERY high, I could barely hear my wife who was sitting next to me on a 4 top. Forget this place for "a romantic" diner unless you are a trained lip reader! 3) The tables in the middle of the restaurant are crammed together to max the seating area. The serving staff kept bumping my chair as they tried to pass between the adjacent table - very annoying!"

  • "The spicy calimari appetizer seemed a bit greasy and had too many banana peppers in it. Other that that, the meal was superb. My bone-in ribeye was cooked to perfection as were my wife's scallops. The molten chocolate cake was a wonderful finish to the meal."

  • "I have eaten here a few times, and for some reason the food always tastes better in the altitudes of Utah. The steaks were cooked to perfection with even char and color throughout, the sides were hot and bubbly just like I like them, the potatoes were creamy and flavorful with a burst of cheese. You gotta go!!"

  • "Overall, our experience was good. My one complaint is that when our food arrived, the manager showed up immediately and said the baked potato was overlooked and he'd comp it. While the gesture was nice, I feel he should've taken the potato away and had a well cooked replacement. Everything else about the meal and place was enjoyable."

  • "Have eaten at this Fleming's several times before. The steak was the best part. Server was outstanding and very attentive. The rest of the meal (appetizers and sides) were not good. I lowered my overall rating as a result."
