  • "From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything was amazing. Ribeye & Filet steaks were prepared prefectly. The Flemings Potatoes are great (cream, jalapenos and cheddar cheese). We're not big wine drinkers but the waiteress was great and recommended a nice sweet wine (Jam Jar). The entire staff was very friendly and wished us a Happy Anniversary. On our way out, we got to meet one of the Chefs (Mark) who told me he'd let us pick our our own steaks next time we come in and even the valet was one of the most nicest people you'll ever meet. We've been to many upscale restaurants and by far this was our best experience. Thank you Fleming for making our day so special!"

  • "Been going to Flemings since it opened at the Newport Center location. How sad that this restaurant has falling into the same trap as all restaurants today: Food portion sizes have been reduced and the prices have risen. My table was shocked how small the side portions were and many went without sides. What a shame."

  • "Food was good. Somewhat disappointed with the fatty piece of prime rib I got. We usually go to El Segundo and tried Newport. My expectations might have been higher for this location. Was too busy and loud. Service was great!"

  • "This location has been consistent with the food and service, but stingy with the salad dressing. The wedge salad is great but you have to ask for extra blue cheese dressing every time. The service is also good and has remained consistent. We will keep coming back."

  • "As usual Fleming,s steaks are the BEST! The filet mignon almost melts in your mouth. The pepper steak was juicy and their F17 sauce is DELICIOUS! The only down side to this place is that it is so NOISY that you just cant have a decent conversation on your table .The service was excellent as usual. I gave 4 stars only because of the high noise level.May be next time we will visit later in the evening."

  • "I hesitate to try out restaurants that have multiple locations on the idea that they won't be creative, the standards won't be kept up, etc. But Flemings is none of that. An Amazing restaurant with wonderful food from start to finish. Even the halibut special was better than I expected (11 on a scale from 1 to 10 :)). I could go on about the food but don't let anything (except maybe the $$) stop you from trying this wonderful place"

  • " I wish they had a different table arrangements. We sat very close to kitchen and I did not like it. We ordered chocolate lava cake for desert from the menu and they didn't have it. one reason that I picked Fleming was having that desert so I was very disappointed."

  • "maybe it was a sunday evening, maybe it was just tourist season, but something didn't feel the same old Fleming's to us the last time we visited. they still do a great job with a steak, and everything on the menu is way above average. honestly, compared to the top-end steakhouses, they are reasonably priced. i just don't feel like their wine list is current, and the menu is not that exciting. there are a lot more children and casually-dressed patrons, which isn't the atmosphere i expect since i make Fleming's a special occasion restaurant. realize that you will be spending $100/person and you can get a prime steak of equal quality around town if you look for it."

  • "Our first visit to Fleming's, for a special occasion, was disappointing. Arriving early, we waited in the bar but were left standing, ignored amid numerous dirty tables, for about 15 minutes. Politely asking the bartender for a drink and someone to clear the tables, my husband earned an exasperated look and begrudging service. In the dining room, we were seated near the noisy kitchen. Our server seemed harried and, with my 3rd request for an iced tea, she apologized that they were just too busy (Sunday, 8 PM) to offer better service. On the plus side, our dinners were delicious and the Sunday prime rib special is a great deal. Still, overall this was a pricey meal that missed the mark and we won't be returning to Fleming's."

  • "Fleming's has always been a favorite for special events, as well as business dinners. The food is consistently excellent...from the appetizers through desert, and the service is attentive and friendly. I prefer to be towards the back of the restaurant, because it is the only place that is reasonably quiet (perhaps this can be requested at the time of reservations? I will try next time) and avoids the traffic that be somewhat obtrusive. It is a bit pricey, as many upscale steakhouses are, but there is some solace in knowing you will always get a great meal...and if something isn't just right, Fleming's will make it right."

Whether she was just slow or had way too many tables I don't know, but I would have expected service to be a bit more spot on for a 50+ dollar steak. Overall the meat was cooked perfectly and I would come back. Delicious! Wish they served grass fed beef though."

  • "We have been dining Flemings for several years on a regular basis and have never been disappointed. This time the food did not meet our expectations. The shrimp appetizer, the shrimp was not fresh. Three of the four steaks we ordered were not cooked properly and in addition did not meet the quality standards that we are used to. The rib-eye was chewy and not as flavorful as usual. It is disappointing that we had this experience as we normally really enjoy Flemings."

  • "We had an impromptu date night and decided on Flemings as we wants to goanu times. Heirloom Tomatoes with Burrata was fabulous. My lamb unfortunately was well instead of medium. I was hesitant to say anything but when the manager checked on us, we did note and show him a piece. Immediately he asked for another order and took that AND my husband's dish (which was cooked perfectly) off the bill! Such a great service gesture. Many others won't do even half of that, let alone something in addition to the item. We will certainly be back - the food was cry good and attention to our table fantastic."

  • "Service was the key to our very good experience. We came in for the 3 course special; found the restaurant at 7:30 packed on a Monday! They had 2 specials going, one a prime rib and the other a salmon and filet combo - the entrees were perfect. The appetizer on the combo was an avocado and ahi salad, but unfortunately the ahi was no longer sushi grade because they were prepared in advance and the citric acid from lemon had chemically cooked it. The main course arrived a few minutes before we had finished our appetizers - but they took it away and everything came back a few minutes later still hot, cooked perfectly, and quite impressive. Overall a very good experience - a tweak here or there and it would be a homerun!"

  • "Consistently good. Food is classic and tasty, and service is impeccable. After several years of having to control costs and maintain prices in order to maintain business, we have seen prices at most restaurants starting to rise in response to a meager increase in disposable income. Drinks in particular seem to be markedly beyond value; alcohol, wine and beer are trying to establish unique/up-scale branding, and restaurants and bars exaggerate the differentiating price points."

  • "We've never dined in the wine bar, but what a pleasant surprise in this small quieter room, often reserved for private parties. The regular dining room is sometimes very noisy especially if there are more than 2 or 4 people. The burrata cheese, tomato and beet salad was delicious. We usually get the bone-in rib eye, but the bone in New York was excellent. The service attentive...impeccable!!!"

  • "Food and wine was fine, but when I called in the reservation I told them this was a 5 person executive level power dinner, and I thought they understood. They put our table in the middle of the room, lots of waiter traffic, noise, and table a bit too small for the group. I had Executive VPS and Regional Managers fly in from Chicago and Virginia, and was embarrassed by the substandard ambiance. We've had these same dinners before at other places (Mortons, Gulfstream, Winery) and have been taken care of much better. On a positive note, the Rib Eye was one of the best I've had, and the Nickel & Nickel Cab was outstanding."

  • "The server did not have recommendation for a cocktail- referred me to the cocktail menu instead of letting me know one that is very popular, when I asked if the salmon or the halibut would be a better choice his answer was something like "well they are both different so whichever you prefer." I did not feel this restaurant was in the same category as Mastros. The booths seemed outdated. The bar was too close to the dining area- loud. It just did not have the classy fine dining feeling."

  • "Great find for brunch! They have just started brunch at my Flemings and it is really good! Small flaky amazing biscuits with butter and jam to begin with, and surprisingly wonderful fresh cocktails for a Sunday brunch! The menu is varied (loved the crab omelet!) and the service is professional and so friendly! We will be back and next time we will bring friends!"

  • "First of all the host sat me before my boyfriend got back with our drinks from the bar, despite me asking to wait for him. He didn't know where I had gone. Then when we sat down, our waitress was nonexistent. When we did see her, she acted like we were bothering her. She had absolutely no personality. The food was just dropped down without asking if we needed anything. One positive point, we ordered the grilled corn and it was way too salty, of course our waitress was nowhere to be found. Finally a manger stopped by and we told her about the corn and she immediately took it back and brought a new one (still too salty). Our waitress then tried to tell us that it was probably not salty but spicy...I know and love spice, it was salt!!!"

  • "I've dined at Fleming's 20 or 30 times over the last few years for business and pleasure. The food has declined at Fleming's over time. I had the "Surf and Turf" special and was dismayed by the size of the New York Strip. My companions' Petite filets were so so. I tried Selanne's recently and will be selecting that restaurant over Fleming's in the future."

  • "The food was better then I've eaten at Ruth Chris or Morton's. I waiter gave us an option of either potato or fresh vegetable with our entrees. I left the restaurant full but not uncomfortable. My only complaint was the drink prices are very expensive, I don't mind paying for a cocktail but $49.50 for three drinks is excessive."
