  • "Fabulous Sunday Night Prime Rib Night. And the fourth of July weekend it was on a further special. Awesome for a three course meal. Salad, Prime Rib with one side and dessert. YUM ... the wine list is amazing. Service was excellent. Try them if you haven't you won't be disappointed."

  • "Between a rib eye steak, seafood tower of lobster, crab legs, and shrimp, Flemings was able to deliver on vegetarian options for the two other guests. The cavatappi with vegetables and the mushroom ravioli were delicious. The steak was done medium, and was delicious, but wanted it medium rare. Everything went well with dinner, the service was outstanding without being instrusive. For dessert had the key lime pie and the berries and cream. I would definitely come back here again."

  • "Everything was fine except the calamari. I always order the calamari appetizer, but this time there were a lot more peppers than clamari."

  • "Service was great. Menu had great choices if you could read it. Hint: use the flashlight app on your smart phone. Wife's filet with asparagus spears was excellent; prepared as she liked it. I had the ribeye that was done just right. Problem was the seasoning on it covered up the fat that hadn't been removed prior to preparation. It appeared to be about 1/3 of the steak."

  • "We treated family to a wonderful meal at Flemings. The food and service was outstanding. As i am not a big eater i really enjoyed the selection of small plate entrees that allowed me to enjoy a fillet and not to have to pay for or order a portion that would have left me stuffed. We shared a slice of key lime pie for dessert and it too was outstanding. The waiter and staff were friendly and knowledgeable but not overly intrusive to our conversation. All in all, a great evening."

  • "Our party ordered both steaks and seafood. Every entrée was perfect. My steak was the best I've had in years. The wine list was extensive. One of our party ordered a less expensive red zinfandel, which we all agreed was actually exceptional. Our out the door cost was about $75.00/person, pricey, but worth it for a special occasion."

  • "Went there as I know they have great service and steaks. Was not busy however service was slow. Two of our three steaks were not cooked to order. Wine was good as they have an extensive wine list. "

  • "Very enjoyable dinner. In our reservation, we asked for a quality, attentive waiter due to some of the remarks in Open Table reviews. We got one. He was knowledgeable and available, but not intrusive. I guess you get what you ask for. He honored our special requests and we got exactly the food we ordered prepared as we requested it. Everything was delicious, but the portions were a little small. That may not be a bad thing. This is a pricey restaurant but getting a 1000 points and having a Open Table check, made it well worth it. We will go back for special occasions."

  • "We ate at Fleming's for the first time because someone had given us a gift card. Unfortunately, the gift card amount came nowhere near the total of the bill for 2 people. My husband and I ended up splitting a steak because except for the smaller filets, almost all of them were 16 oz, too big for either one of us to eat by ourselves. The price of the steak is only for the steak itself, nothing on the side. I suppose that's typical for most steak houses. However, the price was worth it! Everything we ordered was delicious! My husband started with a caesar salad that he loved, we split the prime rib, had fries and asparagus on the side, and ended with a lava cake. Highly recommend any of it! Excellent service. We would eat here again."

  • "Steakhouses can be tricky. Some you pay for a good steak and don't mind while others hope that money is no object and hope that you'll come back again. We celebrated a birthday dinner at Fleming's but should have only gone in for desert. While the steak was pretty good the prices are somewhat unrealistic. Two steaks (small filet(under cooked) and a strip) with vegetables (very small vegetable portions), two deserts and one iced tea plus tip came to $140. Really? It is also very dark in the dining area. I can honestly say that it won't happen again. There are other places where you can enjoy the same quality of steak plus sides, drinks and desert for the same or less money and feel like your dinner was worth the experience. "

  • "Had a waiter with a nasty attitude. It took at least 20 minutes for our drinks and then the waiter just stood there for our order . Most items were $50 or more and with no sides it got expensive fast. $11 for a 4x4 inch square plate of mashed potates was outlandish and barely warm enough to melt the butter that took at least 5 minutes to get to our table. NOT going back anytime soon."

  • "An early dinner setting with low-level ambient sound accompanied superior food served most professionally. Very capable staff accompanied a meal way above the bar set at most steakhouses. "

  • "Service was friendly, Table exceptional but I felt our server was MIA a few times. He did check back on us frequently which was great but I think the server almost seemed European and he was not able to read on how we wanted to flow. (In Europe they try not to rush you which is good here in the USA too but we also like to move along a little faster than Europeans I believe.) A tough balance to achieve between pushing the next course's and customer out the door to allowing customer to relax & enjoy evening out. It took a while to order our entrees and we all knew the chocolate lava cake takes extra time to prepare so we ordered it from the start but it seemed like we waited 20 minutes after entrees were finished to receive desert. "

  • "My husband and I went to Flemings for our 30th anniversary. The food and service was wonderful. They even gave us a box of truffles as an anniversary gift, along with a gift card to use on our next visit. Just an overall good experience. "

  • "Absolutely delicious food, My fiancé tells me that he still has dreams about the steak! The service was great! Dominic our waiter was attentive without being overly so. The atmosphere was quiet and romantic and we had a great time! "

  • "Food was great, server could be a little more attentive with more eye contact and less distraction. We would definitely return. Menu has some great additions and the small plates are nice if you are not in the mood for a big meal or if you have a smaller appetite. Still plenty of food..."

  • "HAVING VISITED FLEMINGING'S OVER 50+ TIMES, We have a understanding of the good bad and the well unplanned, Different this time, the welcome at the front was not the usual, our server as Brian was great the steak can out under cooked and Brian worked hard to make it right I hear Kelly is headed out to Boston, best of luck Lets hope our next visit is better Oh did I mentioned the new DINE IN program looks great, but we are missing 6 stays Brain again was looking into it "

  • "The dry-aged ribeye is certainly one of the best I've ever had. We ordered it with a slight sear and it was phenomenal. The suggested wine pairing was perfect and the service was the right balance of attentiveness without being over bearing. "

  • "Excellent steaks, sides and wine. We had our two children with us and they enjoyed their kids menu steaks as well. It was my husband's birthday and they gave him some chocolate truffles and a $25.00 gift card - nice. We'll be back."

  • "A bit overpriced for the quality - which is good, but not quite stellar. There are better values out there. But service is excellent and I lie the subdued decor."

  • "Wonderful food and good wine. There were no prices on the online menu, so we did not know what to expect and we were using a gift card. Water glasses never got empty, service was great. It was a great experience. We will not return, but that is only because of the price of the food. We had a $100 gift card and that covered less than half of our bill including tip. Great place to eat, good food, but $50 for a single steak is not something I will do again."

  • "This is a higher end restaurant. You will pay a little more for the food, but that's because you get what you pay for. The steaks are fantastic. Cooked to order, perfect, and done right. If you want a $20 steak, then go to somewhere else. The appetizers are well made, not too much, not too little. The wedge salad is a must- the smoky bacon bits are a great addition. Scallops are done very well, sweet and cooked just right. The steaks...forget about it! Perfection. They have a very extensive list of wines and spirits, however, the bartender should be better trained as to how to serve a liquor versus a port or a sauternes. For a higher end restaurant, they do not serve the alcohol in the correct glassware. However, overall it was great."

  • "Fleming's is one of our favorite steak restaurants for fine dining / special occasion, but it is quite expensive. $50+ for certain steaks. They have an amazing steak sauce called F17 that comes with their Peppercorn Steak. Nice wine / drink list as well. Most recently we went on a Sunday evening so it was fairly quite. Other nights it is busier, but never loud. They do have a kids menu, but we prefer to go on a "date night"."

  • "My husband and I had an excellent meal. The salad with blue cheese dressing is great! The steaks are delicious! The wines are exceptional. The key lime pie is the best!! We had tickets to the Marriot Theater. It was very convenient to have a nice dinner and see a wonderful play. Thank you again for a great dining experience!"

  • "My son and I had a wonderfully enjoyable evening at Flemings. He savored two of their specialty cocktails, but I chose not to because of a sinus headache. We both ordered the filet and lobster tail special and felt it was a good choice. Our server was courteous, attentive, well-trained. I would definitely recommend Flemings to our friends, and will dine here again."

  • "Outstanding wine list. Great service and attention to detail. However, Chicago has an abundance of world-class steak houses, be it in the suburbs or downtown. Most high-end steak houses tend to err on the rare side. Flemings, the opposite. Order your next steak at Flemings a little less done. My biggest complaint was running out of a particular steak on a Saturday evening at 9 pm. I was excited to enjoy a dry-aged NY strip, especially after the servers mouth-watering description, only to be told they ran out. Ran out?! On a Saturday night? Really. Overall: Excellent wines and service. Steaks a tad too done. Pricey, but in line with other steak houses. A lot of other choices out there."

  • "The dining room is spacious, with high ceilings, many booths and well spaced tables. I am not a steak-house person but my husband and son are. The caesar salad was crisp with tasty prosciutto bits. The calamari had a subtle very interesting sauce and we all loved it. My petite tenderloin was okay but not much taste. Our waiter was attentive."

  • "Average steak, and that says it all. $50 for one is fine if it's really good, but nothing at all compelling about the food. Sullivan's is considerably better. I had high hopes but it's not worth the time or money."
